Chapter 204 Su Mingfu's College Entrance Examination Comeback

Su Jianguo responded with a smile to each of them, and Su Mingfu also politely thanked his neighbors.

When they arrived at the examination hall, many candidates and their parents had already gathered there.

Some parents were giving instructions to their children, while others were handing them water and food; the scene was both lively and tense.

Su Jianguo parked his bicycle, and the family walked to the entrance of the examination hall.

"Mingfu, double-check that you've brought everything."

Wang Xiulan said.

Su Mingfu opened his schoolbag and checked it again.

Exam admission ticket, ID card, pen, pencil, eraser, ruler...

"I brought everything, no problem."

Su Jianguo patted his son on the shoulder.

"Remember, don't be nervous, take your time, there's enough time. Skip the difficult ones and come back to them later."

Su Mingfu nodded.

"Dad, I understand."

Su Yuzhen handed him the new fountain pen.

"Mingfu, use this; it writes smoothly. I also brought a few extra pen refills, which are in the side pocket of your backpack."

Su Mingqiang also stuffed the dry food into his schoolbag.

"Eat something if you're hungry, don't force yourself. There will be breaks during the exam, remember to come out and get some water."

Looking at the concerned eyes of his family, Su Mingfu felt a lump in his throat and almost burst into tears.

He quickly lowered his head to hide his emotions.

"I will do my best on the exam."

Just then, the exam bell rang.

"Candidates, please enter!"

The staff member called out from the doorway.

Su Mingfu took a deep breath and raised his head.

"Dad, Mom, I'm going in."

Wang Xiulan suddenly hugged him tightly.

"Mingfu, study hard on your exams. Mom is waiting for you to come out. No matter how you do, you'll always be Mom's good son."

Su Mingfu nodded and turned to walk towards the examination room.

As he reached the door, he glanced back and saw his family still standing there, waving at him.

The sunlight shone on them, outlining a warm halo.

He clenched his fists and secretly vowed: I must get good grades and live up to my family's expectations!

After entering the examination room and finding his seat, Su Mingfu took a deep breath to calm himself down.

He took out his pen and examination admission ticket, placed them on the table, and quietly waited for the exam to begin.

The examination room was very quiet; the only sounds were the faint breathing of other examinees and the rustling of papers.

Su Mingfu closed his eyes, took a few deep breaths, and felt his heartbeat gradually calm down.

The bell rang again, and the proctor began distributing the exam papers.

"Please keep quiet, we will now begin distributing the Chinese language test papers."

When the exam paper was handed to Su Mingfu, he quickly glanced through the questions and immediately felt much more at ease.

He had practiced these types of questions before, and some of them even looked very familiar.

He picked up his pen and began to answer the questions seriously.

The pen tip glides smoothly across the paper, making a soft, scratching sound.

He was completely absorbed in answering the questions, forgetting his nervousness and the time; his eyes were only on the questions on the test paper.

The essay topic was "My Hometown." When Su Mingfu saw the topic, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.

He knew Sujiatun all too well; every detail of it was etched into his memory. He picked up his pen and wrote:

"My hometown is an ordinary little village, but it holds all my memories and dreams. There are vast fields, hardworking villagers, lush green vegetable greenhouses, and most importantly, my dear family..."

His thoughts flowed like a spring, and his writing flowed beautifully.

He wrote about the changes in his hometown, how his parents led the family out of poverty by growing vegetables, the contributions of his older siblings, and his own aspirations for the future.

After finishing his essay, he checked the questions again to make sure they were correct before putting down his pen.

With fifteen minutes left before the exam ended, he breathed a long sigh of relief.

As the bell rang, signaling the end of the first exam, Su Mingfu confidently walked out of the examination room.

His family was already waiting at the door, and as soon as he came out, they surrounded him.

"Mingfu, how did the exam go?"

Wang Xiulan asked anxiously.

Su Mingfu smiled.

"It's good; the questions aren't too difficult. The essay topic is exactly what I excel at."

Su Jianguo breathed a sigh of relief.

"That's good. Don't think too much about it. Prepare for the next subject. Come on, let's find a place to rest."

At noon, the family found a bench under the shade of a tree to rest.

Wang Xiulan took out the prepared food: pancakes, boiled eggs, stir-fried vegetables, and a pot of mung bean soup.

"Mingfu, eat more, you have an exam this afternoon."

Wang Xiulan kept putting food on his plate.

Su Mingfu nodded and tried to eat a few more bites.

Although he had little appetite, he didn't want his mother to worry.

The afternoon exam was math.

This was Su Mingfu's forte, and he answered very smoothly.

The multiple-choice questions were quickly completed, and the fill-in-the-blank and problem-solving questions were also handled with ease.

There was even a challenging problem that he solved correctly using two different methods.

After the exam, Su Mingfu walked out of the examination room with much lighter steps.

"Dad, Mom, I did exceptionally well on the math problem! I even used two different methods to solve the last big one!"

Wang Xiulan was so happy that she kept wiping away tears.

"Great! Great! I knew Mingfu was the best!"

Su Jianguo also smiled.

"Mingfu, well done! You still have two more subjects tomorrow, keep it up."

In the evening, Wang Xiulan prepared a sumptuous dinner, but everyone ate very restrainedly, afraid of disturbing Su Mingfu's rest.

Su Jianguo gave specific instructions.

"Mingfu, go to bed early tonight. Don't think about the exam; getting enough rest is the most important thing."
