Chapter 54 Remove you, you beast, from the family genealogy.

"Shut up!"

Su Jianguo roared, stepped over the overturned chair, and slapped Su Mingqiang hard across the face with his large, fan-like hand.

"Smack!"

The slap was so powerful that it sent Su Mingqiang staggering backward, crashing into the cupboard behind him.

The dishes shattered on the floor with a crash, and half of Su Mingqiang's face swelled up at a visible speed.

"You've gone too far!"

Su Jianguo's eyes were bloodshot as he grabbed Su Mingqiang by the collar.

"You dare curse your father and grandfather to death? You even dare threaten me with our ancestral graves? I'll beat you to death today, you unfilial son!"

Su Jianguo slapped Su Mingqiang across the face with both hands, the blows raining down like raindrops.

Su Mingqiang initially tried to resist, but he was quickly beaten until he was dizzy and could only curl up on the ground with his head in his hands.

"That's enough!"

The usually silent old man, Mr. Su, suddenly slammed his hand on the table and stood up, slamming his cane heavily on the ground.

"Jianguo! Look at the fine son you've raised!"

The old man was so angry that he was trembling all over, and his wrinkled face turned bright red.

He pointed at Su Jianguo and cursed.

"I, Su Dashan, have lived most of my life, and I've never seen a descendant dare to speak to their elders like that! What kind of father are you?"

Su Jianguo's heart trembled as he was scolded by his own father, and he stopped what he was doing.

Su Mingqiang seized the opportunity, got up from the ground, and continued to shout despite blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

"Hit me! Keep hitting me! The more you hit me, the more I'll talk. I'm the eldest son in the family, and I'm in charge of my own life. Even if you bury Grandpa first, I'll dig up the grave and make sure you can't rest in peace even as ghosts!"

These words were like a sharp knife, piercing directly into Su Jianguo's heart.

He felt dizzy, his vision went black, and he almost couldn't stand up.

Wang Xiulan quickly supported her husband, tears streaming down her face.

"Mingqiang, how could you say such a thing... You deserve to be struck by lightning..."

Su Jianguo took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.

I already knew how ungrateful this kid was in my previous life, so I'm not angry, not angry at all.

After constantly reassuring himself, Su Jianguo finally calmed down.

This calmness was more terrifying than his previous rage; his eyes turned cold and unfamiliar, and he looked at Su Mingqiang as if he were looking at a dead man.

"Okay, very good."

Su Jianguo's voice was terrifyingly low.

"You think you can threaten your father and grandfather just because you're a member of the Su family, the eldest son and grandson of the Su family? Fine, I'll grant your wish."

Su Mingqiang's face lit up with joy, thinking that his threat had successfully made Su Jianguo compromise.

Little did he know, Su Jianguo's next words made Su Mingqiang feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.

Then, Su Jianguo turned to the old man and said in a firm voice.

"Father, tomorrow I'm taking this whole family back to Sujiatun. I'm going to remove this beast from the family register in front of everyone in the village!"

These words struck like a thunderclap in the room.

Even Li Jinhua, who had been fanning the flames, couldn't help but widen her eyes.

"Remove...remove their name from the family genealogy?"

Su Mingqiang stammered as he repeated, the color draining from his face instantly.

Although he was a scoundrel, he knew what being removed from the family genealogy meant.

Once removed from the family genealogy, it means he will no longer be a member of the Su family, and after his death, no one will offer sacrifices to him, making him a true wandering ghost.

Grandpa Su remained silent for a moment, then slowly nodded.

"That's the right thing to do."

His eyes were filled with disappointment as he looked at Su Mingqiang.

"My Su family has no descendants like that."

"No...no!"

Su Mingqiang panicked, and his voice changed.

"You can't do this! I'm the eldest son of the Su family, I..."

"So now you know you're the eldest son of the Su family?"

Su Jianguo sneered.

When you were cursing your father and grandfather just now, didn't you think about it?

He turned to the others in the room, his voice loud and clear.

"Listen up, everyone! From today onwards, Su Mingqiang is no longer my son, Su Jianguo's son, nor is he a member of the Su family! He is no longer your elder brother! He is a scoundrel!!"

Grandma Su cried so hard she almost passed out.

"What a tragedy..."

Wang Xiulan was also in tears, but she knew that her husband's decision could not be changed.

Su Yufen held the two terrified children tightly, not daring to utter a sound.

Su Mingqiang panicked completely. He turned to Li Jinhua, hoping his wife could speak up for him.

But Li Jinhua's eyes flickered, and she quietly took a step back; she didn't want to be implicated.

"Father...Grandpa..."

Su Mingqiang's voice was choked with sobs.

"I was wrong... I was just confused..."

"A moment of confusion?"

Su Jianguo sneered.

"Where did that fierce spirit of yours go? Keep it up!"

He pointed to the gate.

"Get out! Get out of my house right now! From this day forward, whether you live or die has nothing to do with the Su family! If you dare to come back, don't blame me for breaking your legs!"

Su Mingqiang's legs went weak, and he knelt on the ground.

"Father...you can't do this...I'm your own son..."

"His own son?"

Su Jianguo retorted dismissively.

Would a biological son curse his father to have no peace after death? Would a biological son threaten his ancestral graves?

He took a deep breath.

"Get out of here, and don't let me see you again."

Grandpa Su walked over, leaning on his cane, and looked down at his once most beloved eldest grandson.

"Mingqiang, do you know the consequences of being removed from the family genealogy?"

Su Mingqiang shook his head blankly, his face covered in tears and snot.
