Chapter 82 The Older Brother Kills His Younger Brother

Upon hearing this, the eldest brother's face once again showed a conflicted expression.

Finally, when his life and fortune were threatened...

The eldest brother slowly got up, took the dagger, and walked towards the third brother, who was lying unconscious on the ground.

"Don't move!"

The fourth brother shoved the eldest brother aside and pulled a small knife from his waist.

What are you doing!

The eldest brother angrily questioned him.

The fourth brother stood firmly in front of the third brother, his eyes flashing with a fierce light.

"What do you want to do?"

At this moment, the second brother suddenly sprang up and kicked the fourth brother in the waist from the side.

The fourth brother cried out in pain and rolled to Zhao Xiaoyan's side, bumping into her and making her groan.

"It's not even a bird's size yet, and it dares to bare its teeth like a human?"

The second brother sneered at the fourth brother.

The cave fell silent instantly, with only the third brother's heavy breathing remaining.

Taking the opportunity, Zhao Xiaoyan nudged Lao Si with her shoulder and gestured for him to look at the cave entrance.

The fourth brother followed her gaze and saw that it was already broad daylight outside.

"Big brother..."

The fourth brother crawled back, his voice pleading.

"I beg you, please let me take Third Brother down the mountain. I need to take him to the hospital; if we don't, he'll die..."

"Are you out of your mind?"

The second brother sneered.

"Going down the mountain now would be like walking into a trap!"

He turned to the leader, his eyes fierce.

"If you ask me, we're brothers, let's give him a quick death. He's not going to live anyway, so he won't be a burden to us."

Upon hearing this, the fourth brother trembled all over and suddenly picked up a stone from the ground and threw it at the second brother.

"Fuck your ancestors!"

The stone hit the second son directly on the forehead.

The second son's head was instantly split open, and blood began to flow continuously.

The second child clutched his wound in pain and squatted down on the ground.

Seeing this, the eldest brother acted swiftly, slapping the fourth brother to the ground, causing blood to gush from his nose.

"If you cause any more trouble, I'll kill you first!"

He grabbed the fourth brother by the hair and lifted him up, the cold blade of the dagger pressed against his neck.

"Think carefully: do you want to die with San'er, or live with us?"

A drop of blood slid down the dagger, which slowly approached, already slicing through the outer flesh.

The fourth brother's pupils contracted sharply.

He first glanced at San'er lying not far away, then at his elder brother's fierce gaze.

He had no doubt that if he uttered even half a word of dissent, his elder brother would kill him.

Finally, the fourth brother collapsed.

"I...I'll listen to my older brother..."

The eldest brother let go of the second brother's hand and turned to the second brother.

"It's just a small opening in the head, is it really that big of a deal? Hurry up and go ahead to scout out a path down the mountain."

Then he kicked the fourth brother.

"You carry that girl on your back and go out first."

He glanced at Zhao Xiaoyan, and the girl immediately lowered her head, her thin shoulders trembling uncontrollably.

The second brother, who was squatting there covering his head, slowly stood up upon hearing this, tore a piece of cloth from his clothes, and simply bandaged his wound. Then he glared fiercely at the fourth brother.

"Fourth brother, remember this!"

He turned and walked out of the cave.

The fourth brother shakily got up, picked up Zhao Xiaoyan, and slowly walked towards the cave entrance. When he reached the entrance, he couldn't help but look back.

All I could see was...

The eldest brother had already walked up to the third brother.

The dagger in his hand was already pointed at San'er's neck.

The fourth brother forced himself to turn away, picked up Zhao Xiaoyan, and quickly walked out of the cave.

Outside the cave.

The fourth brother stood with Zhao Xiaoyan in his arms under a crooked pine tree, the mountain wind stinging his cheeks.

He dared not look back at the scene inside the cave.

A few minutes later.

The leader walked out of the cave with a cold expression, flicked the blood off his dagger, wiped it casually on his trouser leg, and remained calm.

You would never guess that this is a ruthless person who just killed his own younger brother.

The fourth brother didn't ask anything, his face expressionless, lost in thought.

But it was Zhao Xiaoyan.

Having witnessed the entire event, she was now staring at the boss with terrified eyes.

In her mind, it was completely unimaginable that such a ruthless person could exist in the world.

"What are you looking at?"

The eldest brother walked over.

He slapped Zhao Xiaoyan across the face.

"If you glare at me again, I'll gouge your eyes out!"

"Found it!"

Just then, the second brother emerged from the bushes nearby.

"There's a path worn down by herb gatherers ahead, leading straight to the cornfield at the foot of the mountain."

The eldest brother squinted at the sky; it was getting late. He immediately spoke.

"Let's go, before the villagers call the police, let's take the train south."

After saying that, the eldest brother kicked the fourth brother again.

"Why are you still holding her? Put her down and let her walk by herself. If she doesn't, hit her!"

The fourth brother hurriedly put Zhao Xiaoyan down and untied the rope binding her legs.

The four began to venture into the dense forest.

The fourth brother walked in front, holding Zhao Xiaoyan's hand.

The second child, in the middle, kept looking back.

The eldest brother covered the rear, never putting away the dagger in his hand.

The four walked for more than ten minutes and had reached the halfway point of the mountain.

Suddenly, the fourth brother's cloth shoes broke a dead branch.

"Click"

The sound was particularly jarring in the silent mountain forest.

He suddenly stopped and pricked up his ears.

"What's wrong? What are you dawdling about?"

The eldest brother whispered a reprimand from behind.

The fourth brother didn't say anything, he just stiffly turned his head away.

Because he faintly heard a few barks coming from afar.

Intermittent, yet becoming increasingly clear.
