Chapter 392 Does he look like he's out selling himself?

The next morning, Hu Meiling went to work.

Before leaving, she worriedly reminded He Wenlin not to wander off, as it wasn't safe outside.

"I know, you should go to work now, remember what I told you last night."

Last night, after returning from shopping, He Wenlin brainwashed her again, telling her to go out on her own. She said that when doing business, you should definitely choose an industry you are familiar with, and you must have the initiative in your own hands. She also said not to go into partnerships, because it would lead to arguments later.

“Okay, I’ll resign today.” Hu Meiling had already made up her mind.

Upon arriving at the factory, Hu Meiling submitted her resignation to the boss.

However, as the manager, she couldn't just leave. Hu Meiling agreed to stay for two more days to hand over her work.

After Hu Meiling left, He Wenlin locked the doors and windows and went out as well. However, she didn't go too far. She ate breakfast leisurely and then wandered around the neighborhood to see if anyone had an old house for sale.

She won't stay here for long. She'll need Hu Meiling's help to keep an eye on things when she buys land, houses, or shops.

As she walked, He Wenlin realized something was wrong; there were so many hair salons around here.

Nowadays, most hair salons are not legitimate; they're all just masquerading as legitimate businesses.

"Little sister, how much?" Suddenly, a middle-aged man reeking of alcohol approached He Wenlin and asked in a low voice.

Holy crap!

Do you look like you're out selling yourself?

He got drunk so early in the morning, how come he didn't drink himself to death?

"Get out!" He Wenlin snapped.

The drunkard even grabbed He Wenlin, his tongue slurring as he mumbled, "Two...two hundred."

He Wenlin kicked him: "Get out of my way!"

The man stumbled and fell to the ground.

Perhaps He Wenlin's kick angered him, because he stood up and dragged He Wenlin into the alley.

"Help! Help!" He Wenlin shouted as she struggled.

"Hey, stop! Let go!" At this moment, a man in his twenties wearing a shirt suddenly jumped out.

The drunkard only let go when he saw someone coming.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, He Wenlin kicked the drunkard in the groin. The man clutched his groin in pain, his body bent into a ")" shape.

Still not satisfied, He Wenlin immediately picked up a brick from the side and hit him with it!

The man in the shirt stared at He Wenlin in disbelief.

"Hurry up and go!" He Wenlin shouted to the man in the shirt.

The man in the shirt then realized what was happening and ran away with He Wenlin.

After running out of the dangerous area, He Wenlin looked back and, seeing that no one was chasing her, felt relieved.

She knew that Dongguan was in chaos, but she only realized it today, and it was still broad daylight.

If you're alone in the future, you should go out less often.

"Thank you so much, brother. I'm so grateful to you today," He Wenlin said. "My name is He Wenlin. What's your name?"

"My name is Jin Haichao. Do you need me to call the police for you?"

"Forget it, I didn't lose anything. That bastard, if they arrest him, he'll probably just get a few words of mild reprimand and be released after two days in jail."

Jin Haichao was surprised by He Wenlin's strong mentality. He looked her up and down and said, "You have a strong heart. Where are you going? I'll take you."

"I was just wandering around. Brother Jin, you're dressed so formally, where do you work?"

Hearing this, Jin Haichao gave a wry smile: "A high position? I'm just an unemployed bum."

"Are you kidding me? Unemployed people don't dress this neatly. Are you going for a job interview, or..."

"I started my own business, but I haven't made a single sale yet. I'm about to look for a job."

"What kind of business are you starting? Maybe I can help you?"

Jin Haichao said with a wry smile, "I run a law firm, can you help me?"

"Law firm? You're a lawyer?"

"Alright, little sister, where are you going? I'll take you there."

Jin Haichao clearly didn't believe He Wenlin could help him.

He Wenlin took out a business card from her bag and handed it over: "This is my business card. Let's get to know each other again. Attorney Jin, I am He Wenlin, the owner of Xiangmeizi Fast Food Restaurant and Xiangzhiyuan Food Company."

Jin Haichao held the business card He Wenlin had given him, remaining lost in thought for a long time.

I looked at the business card, and then at He Wenlin herself.

After a long pause, Jin Haichao finally said, "You're not a scammer, are you? How old are you?"

"I am not very talented, and I am fifteen years old this year."

"Boss He, I'm so poor I can't even afford to eat. I don't have any money for you to cheat me out of." After saying that, he stuffed the business card back into He Wenlin's hand and turned to leave.

"Hey, hey, don't go!" He Wenlin stepped forward to stop her. "You're so poor you can't even afford food, what could I possibly swindle from you? Besides, aren't you a lawyer? Lawyers are as shrewd as a sieve, what are you afraid of?"

Jin Haichao thought about it and realized it made sense. He had nothing, so what could he possibly have to be deceived by? The girl was underage; she couldn't possibly be trying to cheat him on his feelings or his looks.

Seeing that his expression softened, He Wenlin continued, "Attorney Jin, if you still don't believe me, I can take you to my sister's workplace. My cousin is a manager and works nearby. She can prove that I'm not a fraud."

"That's not necessary."

“Attorney Jin, since you have your own law firm, why don’t you invite me over for a visit?” He Wenlin said.

"Alright."

Jin Haichao took He Wenlin on a bus for more than half an hour, and after getting off the bus, they walked for another ten minutes or so before finally arriving at the building where "Jin Yue Law Firm" was located.

"This is it." Jin Haichao opened the door and let He Wenlin in.

"Why is it called Jin Yue? Do you have a partner?" He Wenlin asked.

"Yes, he's my classmate. The law firm had no business, so he quit. I also didn't have any money, so I didn't change the sign."
