Chapter 351 Answer (shuhaige.net)

Ye Chenming insisted on escorting Yan Xiaonan to the dormitory entrance before he felt at ease. When the dormitory supervisor saw Yan Xiaonan return, she rushed out, eager to see what the handsome fiancé everyone was talking about looked like.

It's fine if you don't look, but once you do, it can ruin your life. The dormitory supervisor chased after Yan Xiaonan and asked, "Yan Xiaonan, does your fiancé have any brothers? Can you introduce one to my daughter?"

Yan Xiaonan shook her head regretfully: "Auntie, I'm sorry, my fiancé is an only child and has no brothers."

The dormitory supervisor's face was full of disappointment. Her daughter wasn't very pretty, and she hoped to find a more handsome son-in-law to balance it out, otherwise it would ruin the next generation.

Yan Xiaonan, unaware of the dormitory supervisor's thoughts, greeted her and left. The dormitory supervisor watched Yan Xiaonan's retreating figure and sighed, thinking that her own daughter would be content if she had even a fraction of Yan Xiaonan's appearance.

When Yan Xiaonan returned to her dormitory, her roommates surrounded her, asking all sorts of questions. Now everyone knew that Yan Xiaonan's fiancé was handsome, but also extremely ruthless, which made them feel sorry for her.

Yan Xiaonan found it both funny and exasperating. How could someone judge a person so one-sidedly? But faced with the concerned look in her eyes, she could only smile and say that she understood.

Yan Xiaonan had a very comfortable week. The girls who had previously harbored hostility towards her had also withdrawn their hostility. It was because Yan Xiaonan's fiancé had left such a terrible impression on them that such a beautiful young girl would be living in domestic violence. Their mentality was inexplicably relieved.

They were in a better mood, and Yan Xiaonan also felt that the air around her was fresher, no longer having to endure one jealous glare after another.

The days flew by in Yan Xiaonan's anticipation, and finally Friday afternoon arrived. Yan Xiaonan rode his brand-new bicycle home quickly, while Ye Chen'er sat on the back seat, occasionally swinging her legs, in an exceptionally good mood.

"Nan Nan, we can finally go home! I missed home so much!" Ye Chen'er said happily, hugging Yan Xiaonan's waist.

"You want to fall in love with Brother Dang now, don't you?" Yan Xiaonan teased.

"Yes, I want to love the Party, I want to be a mother." Ye Chen'er was being truthful.

"I miss my grandma, I miss my parents too." Yan Xiaonan pedaled the bicycle even harder.

"Don't you miss my brother?" It was Ye Chen'er's turn to tease Yan Xiaonan.

"Yes, I do. He has a day off this Sunday," Yan Xiaonan replied readily.

Ye Chen'er smiled, her older brother had finally arrived: "Nan Nan, why don't we go see if there are any new movies showing at the cinema? You can come with me to see a movie later."

Yan Xiaonan was somewhat disheartened. She didn't particularly enjoy watching movies, especially since cinemas these days had rather basic facilities. She'd rather go for a walk in the mountains.

"You go with Brother Ai Dang, I don't really like watching movies," Yan Xiaonan refused.

Ye Chen'er nodded. Since Nan Nan didn't like it, they must have better places to go. She really wanted to play with Yan Xiaonan, but thinking about her older brother's few holidays, she decided to give him a chance to pursue his wife. They could all play together after they got married.

Grandma Yan stood at the gate, craning her neck. Today, her precious baby was coming home, and Liu Jin would be coming home too. Yan Xiaoqiang went to pick him up; after all, he was only eleven years old, and she couldn't bear to let him come and go alone.

The bell rang crisply and melodiously. Grandma Yan sighed inwardly that she had lost her bet. She had bet with Cuihua that Nannan would get home first. Cuihua said that Qiangzi would take Liujin home first, since Qiangzi had a bicycle.

But when she saw Yan Xiaonan on the bicycle and Ye Chen'er on the back, she laughed triumphantly: "Cuihua, Cuihua, I won!"

Cuihua also heard the bicycle bell. She was about to say that she had won when she heard her mother say that she had won. She quickly ran out and looked in the direction of the bell. Sure enough, her daughter and Chen'er had returned. She took out a dime from her pocket and handed it to Grandma Yan: "Mom, you are so smart. How did you know that Nannan would ride back?"

Grandma Yan had no idea; she just missed Yan Xiaonan so much that she wanted to see him first.

"My dear baby, where did you get this bicycle? It's brand new!" Grandma Yan circled the bicycle.

"It was given to me by Ye Chenming," Yan Xiaonan confessed.

"Oh, that young man from the Ye family, he's quite thoughtful." Grandma Yan nodded knowingly. It seemed that her daughter liked the young man too, otherwise she wouldn't have accepted his gift.

To be honest, that kid is really good. He's good-looking, from a good family, and a better person. Don't let his quiet demeanor fool you; he's very attentive to Nan Nan's affairs, even thinking of things that I wouldn't have thought of myself.

The ringing of bells came from outside again, along with Liu Jin's loud voice: "Great-Grandma, Grandma, I'm back! Is Auntie back yet?"

"That brat, he only cares about his aunt," Cuihua said with a laugh.

Yan Xiaonan smiled, squatted down, and stroked the little deer that kept rubbing against her: "Little deer, you missed me too, didn't you?"

With a push from its hind legs, the little deer stood up, placing its front paws on Yan Xiaonan's hands. Its large, wet deer eyes looked at Yan Xiaonan, their gazes filled with unspoken answers.

Yan Xiaonan was overjoyed. She picked up the fawn and turned to look at the gate. Sure enough, Liu Jin rushed in as soon as he got out of the car. Seeing Yan Xiaonan holding the fawn in the courtyard, he happily tumbled in through the gate.

He turned to Grandma Yan and bowed deeply, saying, "Grandson greets Great-Grandma, Grandma, Aunt, and Aunt Chen'er."

Grandma Yan smiled so broadly her eyes disappeared, and she quickly took out a handkerchief to help Liu Jin wipe his sweat. It was almost the end of June, and the weather was getting hotter and hotter. He was covered in sweat after only a few somersaults.

"Liu Jin, why don't you greet me?" Yan Daqiang's voice came from outside. Then Xue Ying and Yan Aidang stepped into the courtyard. Cuihua happily brought out delicious food and drinks from the kitchen. She had been preparing for today's reunion all day.

Grandma Yan took out her pipe, and Liu Jin, being quick-witted, helped her light it while saying to Yan Daqiang, "Greetings to Grandpa, greetings to Grandma, greetings to Uncle Ai Dang."

Grandma Yan took a deep drag of her cigarette and slowly exhaled. She felt satisfied with her cigarette today.

Dinner was indeed plentiful. Half of the wild rabbit and pheasant that the mountain eagle gave us last week were still uneaten. Cuihua had preserved them in salt, just waiting to cook them today. The preserved game was obviously more flavorful, and Xue Ying's face was full of satisfaction as she ate.

"Mom, Mom, don't you think you're starting to gain weight?" Yan Aidang looked at her mother with concern, wondering how she could eat so much.

Xue Ying paused, glanced at her stomach, then at the rabbit meat in her hand, and after a second of consideration, said, "Eat first, then exercise."
