Southwest on the train never imagined that her nine-month-old child could be so sensitive. She regretted not bringing him along. Hearing Duo Duo's heartbreaking cries, she had an urge to jump off the train, but what would happen to her five-and-a-half-pound child if she jumped off?
"Southwest, don't worry, I'm here." Tang Jianjun's voice came over. Southwest nodded repeatedly. It was much better with his master there. His master would carve wooden toys for him to play with, which would divert the little guy's attention.
Wu Jinban asked worriedly, "Dad, do you think Duoduo will keep crying, the kind that never stops?"
Southwest couldn't quite put her finger on it. Actually, there were many reasons why Tang Xiaoling didn't like Duoduo. Duoduo was extremely difficult to coax. Once he started crying, he wouldn't stop. He didn't know how to read the room. Whether you were fierce or kind, he wouldn't stop until he had cried enough.
Once, when Wu Jinban was about to go to school, Duoduo didn't want him to leave and kept crying. Tang Xiaoling got angry and, when she couldn't coax him, she gave up, left him on the kang (a heated brick bed), and got off the bed. When Wu Jinban came home for lunch, she found Duoduo was still crying, but her voice was hoarse and she couldn't hear her clearly.
After quickly preparing lunch for Wu Jinban, Tang Xiaoling went to feed Duoduo rice cereal. Duoduo ate the cereal while crying, which made Wu Jinban shake his head repeatedly. He really didn't like this little brother; he was too much of a worry.
Unlike Fu Bao, who smiles sweetly at Liu Jin and can be easily soothed even when she cries, Liu Jin loves her little sister very much and often thinks how wonderful it would be if Duo Duo were like Fu Bao.
"Dad, I really don't like Duoduo. He's so hard to coax. He cries and cries and it makes my head hurt," Wu Jinban said, pointing to his head.
Southwest smiled, holding Wu Jinban on her lap, and slowly taught him: "Son, Duoduo is still little and can't even speak yet. He can only express himself by crying. When he can speak, he won't cry like this anymore."
"Oh, then Duoduo must have a lot to say, otherwise she wouldn't have cried for so long. You gave Duoduo the wrong name, you should have named her Shaoshao." Wujinban understood.

When the train arrived at the station, Yan Xiaoqiang and Cuihua were waiting on the platform. When they saw Xinan, they immediately called out loudly. Xinan smiled happily and quickly told Wujinban, "Grandpa and Grandma have come to pick us up."
The little head, weighing five and a half pounds, popped out and immediately saw the smiling grandparents. It shouted happily, "Grandpa, Grandma, I'm here!"
Cuihua quickly ran up and grabbed Wujinban's hand, saying, "Be good, come down with your dad later."
Southwest had Wu Jinban stand aside and talk to Cuihua, while he passed the luggage to Yan Xiaoqiang piece by piece. When the last piece of luggage was delivered, he carried Wu Jinban off the bus.
"Dad, Mom, where's Nan Nan?" Southwest looked around but didn't see Yan Xiao Nan.
“Nan Nan has gone to school and won’t be back until Friday. Let’s go home.” Yan Xiaoqiang picked up his luggage and started walking.
Southwest quickly picked up the rest of the luggage, and Cuihua picked up Wu Jin and said pantingly, "My dear baby, how come you're so heavy? If you're any heavier, I won't be able to carry you anymore."
Five-and-a-half cat chuckled, "Grandma, I've grown up! Where's Six-Jin brother? And where's Auntie?"
“Your aunt and brother Liujin won’t be back until Friday, so you’ll have to wait two days,” Cuihua said with a smile.
Five-and-a-half cat obediently hugged Cuihua's head and neck. Milk is so good. Five-and-a-half cat loves milk the most.
The group carried their luggage and boarded a bus. After more than half an hour, they finally arrived at the courtyard house. A fawn caught Wu Jinban's attention. Pointing at the fawn, Wu Jinban asked Cuihua, "Grandma, what is this? Can I play with it?"
"This is a fawn. You can play with it, but you have to go and greet your great-grandmother first, okay?" Cuihua instructed Wujinban.
Wu Jinban startled himself. Damn it, he had forgotten about his great-grandmother! He quickly got off Cuihua and ran to Grandma Yan, shouting, "Great-grandmother, I've come to see you!"
Grandma Yan looked at Wu Jinban, who had lost two teeth, and smiled very kindly. She picked up the prepared malted milk powder from the table and handed it to Wu Jinban: "Here, my sweetie, have a cup of malted milk powder to sweeten your mouth."
Wu Jinban took the malted milk powder, slowly took a sip, and said, "Mmm, it's so delicious! It's sweet and fragrant. How long has it been since I've had it?"
Seeing her grandmother looking so energetic, Southwest smiled happily: "Grandma, you look so energetic, I'm so happy."
Grandma Yan nodded, pointed to a recliner next to her and said to Southwest, "Sit down quickly, drink some malted milk powder, have some snacks, take the child to take a bath later, go to sleep, and eat when you wake up. I have some good news to tell you."
Southwest's eyes were a little moist. Milk was the backbone of the family. With Milk around, the Yan family was fine.
He picked up a piece of rice cake from the table and took a bite. It smelled so good! He then took a piece of mung bean cake and stuffed it into his mouth. It was so sweet! With the sweet pastries to eat, Southwest became more and more relaxed and started to feel sleepy. After all, he couldn't afford to fall asleep on the train. The child was still young. Stealing luggage was a small matter, but stealing the child would be a big deal.
Cuihua told Xinan to take a bath by himself and then go to sleep. She would carry Wu Jinban with her. Xinan looked at Cuihua gratefully. Children with mothers are truly treasures. Even at his age, he could still enjoy such deep maternal love.
Southwest fell asleep. After taking a bath, Wu Jinban played with the deer. The deer was very smart and seemed to understand everything Wu Jinban said. Seeing that Wu Jinban was playing well with the deer, Cuihua went to the kitchen to cook with peace of mind.
I made a big bowl of braised pork, served a pork hock soup, and steamed a fish I bought this morning. I also cooked a big pot of white rice. Southwest always has a good appetite, and Tang Xiaoling doesn't like to use much oil when cooking, so we need to give the father and son a good meal.
Upon smelling the braised pork, Wu Jinban couldn't stay calm. He couldn't play with Xiao Lu anymore and ran straight to the kitchen. Looking at the braised pork in the pot, he said, "Grandma, I want to eat meat."
Cuihua felt sorry for the child's greedy look and couldn't help but blame Tang Xiaoling in her heart, wondering what she was so stingy about, making the child so hungry.
He quickly picked out a few pieces of braised pork with alternating layers of fat and lean meat with his chopsticks, put them in a bowl, and handed them to Wu Jinban: "Eat slowly, be careful not to burn your mouth."
Wu Jinban obeyed, calming down his hurried movements. He took the rice bowl and sat on the stool in the kitchen. Looking at the red and trembling braised pork in the bowl, his mouth watered. He took a bite of the meat, and the feeling of being fatty but not greasy made Wu Jinban squint his eyes.
Wu Jinban didn't rush to take a second bite. Instead, he chewed slowly, enjoying the glutinous aroma in his mouth, until all the meat in his mouth was gone before taking a second bite.
