Chapter 508 Tang Xiaoling is on the move

Upon seeing Bei Nan, Shen Shaohua recalled that his attitude last time had been somewhat excessive, so he stood up and nodded ingratiatingly, "Director Yan has gone to university for class."

"Oh, I forgot. I'll go find Section Chief Xu then. Thank you, Section Chief Shen. Here, take this. I know we can't eat in the factory." Bei Nan placed the snacks on the desk, nodded, and left.

Shen Shaohua frowned as he looked at the large bag of exquisite pastries. Sure enough, this was the style of the rich; they only looked at the appearance when buying things, not the substance.

She tossed the snacks aside and returned to her work. Yan Xiaonan told her to hand over her work as soon as possible, as she would be working there once the clubhouse was completed.

This is a huge challenge. She's been put in charge of managing a total of five or six hundred people. She'll need to find more help. Thinking of her best friends from school, well, she'll go visit them next month.

"Zhu Minghua, did you understand the information I gave you yesterday? If you don't understand, just ask me," Shen Shaohua called out to the office across the hall.

"Section Chief Shen, take a look at these reflections I wrote. Do you think they're acceptable?" A young man in his early twenties came running over with a notebook in hand.

Zhu Minghua is also the son of his father's colleague. He is usually decisive and efficient, but he is too careless, so Shen Shaohua has been correcting his mistakes.

"Look at your handwriting! It doesn't match your face at all. Honestly, would it kill you to write slower?" Shen Shaohua tossed the notebook aside in disgust, not wanting to look at a single word.

"Don't be so old-fashioned, you're only two years older than me," Zhu Shaohua muttered.

“I can be your older sister even if I’m two years older than you. Go back and rewrite it. It looks like scribbles. Who can understand it? Now I’m giving you new homework: write two large characters every day.”

Shen Shaohua threw the notebook into Zhu Minghua's arms, trying to shoo him away like a fly.

No way! Zhu Minghua felt like the sky was falling. His eyes darted around and he saw the pastries on the table. The packaging looked so tempting.

Shen Shaohua glanced at Zhu Minghua strangely. Why wasn't he leaving? Seeing that Zhu Minghua's eyes were glued to the pastries, Shen Shaohua's anger vanished instantly. Oh well, he's just a child. He picked up the pastries and tossed them into Zhu Minghua's arms.

Zhu Minghua then happily went back. Sister Shaohua is so nice. Even though she looks fierce like a tigress, she's actually quite good to me.

After wandering around in the north and south, she came back and saw a boy carrying something that looked familiar. Oh, it looked like the snacks she had bought. It seemed that this girl really didn't like her.

Bei Nan turned and left. The first time he had felt a flutter in his heart in more than twenty years was extinguished just like that. He found Xu Da and subtly told him that if his wife from the Southwest came looking for him, he should let her in.

Although Xu Da didn't know what Bei Nan was up to, his years of military experience told him that Bei Nan was helping Southwest get rid of this "wife".

His comrades wrote to him, telling him that Southwest's wife was so arrogant in Mushroom Village that she deserved a beating, but Southwest was their factory director, and they could do nothing but endure it. They were incredibly frustrated.

After searching all winter, Tang Xiaoling finally found the location of the furniture factory. It was all her father's fault; he stayed at the factory after the New Year and didn't come back, leaving only the mother and daughter in the dormitory.

She asked her mother to take her to the factory, but her mother didn't even glance at her. This girl is hopeless; she's useless at everything, eats everything, and has probably forgotten about her two children.

If she doesn't want to bring it, she doesn't want to. She can ask, but it's a pity she can't read. The road sign is right in front of her, but she doesn't recognize it.

The person giving directions glanced at the road sign, then at Tang Xiaoling's clothes and appearance. He knew she was a rural woman and it was normal that she couldn't read, but the contempt in his eyes was blatant.

Tang Xiaoling was furious. She was just asking for directions; did they have to look down on her? Honestly, if they knew her husband was the manager of a furniture factory, they'd be even more disrespectful.

Finally arriving at the furniture factory gate, upon seeing the gatekeeper standing outside, he quickly put on a smiling face: "Young comrade, is this the Beijing Furniture Factory?"

The gatekeeper nodded. Seeing this, Tang Xiaoling rushed inside. The gatekeeper quickly stepped forward to stop her, feeling a bit annoyed. "Does he think I'm dead?"

"You're not an employee of our factory, are you? This is a furniture factory in Beijing, not a vegetable market. You can't just barge in like that. Who are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for Yan Xinan, my man." Tang Xiaoling also got angry. How dare you stop the factory director's wife?

Upon hearing this, the gatekeeper awkwardly touched his nose and silently walked to the side. Just two days ago, Section Chief Xu had instructed everyone to be careful not to stop the factory director's wife from coming over.

Tang Xiaoling could tell from the guard's expression that he was scared, and she sneered inwardly, thinking how cowardly he was.

"Sigh, where is that Southwest?" Tang Xiaoling looked at the huge factory and figured she couldn't find it on her own.

The gatekeeper pointed to the two-story building, turned around and went into the guardhouse. It was the first time he had been peered at through a crack in the door by a woman, and he felt wronged.

Tang Xiaoling looked at the building in front of her, straightened her clothes, and walked in with her head held high. There was a sign on each door with words written on it, but Tang Xiaoling couldn't understand them.

Open any door you like, and everyone inside looks up, their eyes filled with dissatisfaction. Can't they knock? Are their hands broken?

Tang Xiaoling felt looked down upon again, and she was filled with resentment. "I'm the factory director's wife!" she thought. "Which room is Yan Xinan in? I'm his wife."

She pushed open the door to Zhu Minghua's personnel department. Zhu Minghua hated this kind of shallow person who had no ability but wanted to act like a bully. His face turned cold: "Of course the factory director is in the factory director's office."

Tang Xiaoling choked. Of course she knew the factory director was in the director's office, but which one was the director's office?

"I can't read, so take me there. Take me to the factory manager's office right now," Tang Xiaoling said, raising her neck to look at Zhu Minghua.

"What does it matter to me if you can't read? You don't even know where your own man is, yet you have the nerve to say you're the factory manager's wife. I don't think our factory manager is blind or heartless. How could a college graduate like you be married to someone who can't read?"

These words were so hurtful, they struck right into Tang Xiaoling's heart. She was afraid that if Southwest got into university, she would feel inferior, so she stopped him from taking the exam.

But she's useless; she can't even control her own man. It's all Yan Xiaonan's fault for running a furniture factory; he's almost ruined her man.

At this moment, Tang Xiaoling hated no one but Yan Xiaonan. It was Yan Xiaonan who couldn't stand her, so he made Southwest leave her hometown and come to the capital. It was Yan Xiaonan who made Southwest take the college entrance exam.

Yan Xiaonan sneezed in the clothing store. Who was thinking about her? Ye Chen'er was in postpartum confinement, and her mother and Xuemei had to take turns helping her. She could only stay here and be a hardworking porter.
