Tie Ge stood at the entrance of his courtyard house, the door slightly ajar, warm light shining through, and the faint sounds of children babbling could be heard from inside.
He pushed open the door, and Tie Ge was sweating profusely with nervousness. The lights became brighter, and the child's voice became clearer.
Tie Ge wanted to stride into the north room, but his legs were numb and he couldn't muster any strength.
Hearing the sound, Ye Huixian opened the door to the north room and saw Tie Ge standing there dumbfounded, staring at the door with an excited expression.
"Hui Xian, I'm back. I missed you so much." Tie Ge's voice trembled slightly when he saw Ye Hui Xian appear.
Ye Huixian ran out, wanting to throw herself into her husband's arms and have a good cry.
Tie Ge quickly opened his arms, holding Ye Huixian's trembling body in one arm and protecting the child in her arms with the other.
Only then did Ye Huixian remember that he was still holding his son, and he handed the son to Tie Ge:
“Your son, whose name I named Tiejun, is fourteen months old.”
Tie Ge picked up Tie Jun in his arms, and a sense of familiarity, as if connected by blood, filled Tie Ge's somewhat desolate heart.
"I have a son! Haha, Huixian, you're so good to me. You gave me a son. You are my benefactor, my savior, my lover." Tie Ge started to ramble incoherently.
Ye Huixian looked at him with amusement. Was he really that excited about becoming a father? He didn't even know what he was saying. He looked silly.
Tie Ge hugged Tie Jun tightly: "Tie Jun, Dad's baby, your mother raised you so well, you're so chubby and healthy. You must be filial to your mother in the future, okay?"
Tie Jun slapped Tie Ge's face, making a lot of noise, as if asking, "Who are you? Why did you make my mother cry?"
Tie Ge didn't care at all about his son's slaps. He looked at the clean, smiling face with a smile, feeling incredibly happy.
She kissed her son's fair face and said, "My son is so smart, just like your mother. Come on, let's close the door."
Ye Huixian blushed. She was afraid that Tie Ge wouldn't hear her knocking, so she didn't lock the door.
Now, Tie Ge's one sentence has completely exposed her little secret.
After closing the door, Tie Ge carried his son in one arm and helped Ye Huixian with the other, and the three of them walked into the house.
"Brother Tie, have you eaten? Do you want me to cook you a bowl of noodles?" Ye Huixian realized it was getting late and Brother Tie probably hadn't eaten yet.
“I’ve already eaten. I thought you were at the Yan family’s house, so I went there with Bei Nan, ate a bowl of noodles, and then rushed over.”
Ye Huixian regretted it a little. He knew that if he had waited for Nan Nan here, he could have seen her a few hours earlier.
"How long can you stay this time?" Ye Huixian asked.
Tie Ge was a little frustrated: "It's only been a month, just thirty days, sigh."
Ye Huixian nodded. His second brother seemed to have told him that this time it was originally only half a month, but Xue Honggen insisted on extending it by half a month.
The second brother also suggested that he take the child and go with Tie Ge, as it is not good for the couple to live apart all the time, and most importantly, Tie Jun needs his father's guidance.
“Brother Tie, my family wants me to go with you this time. My child needs a father too,” Ye Huixian said.
Tie Ge shook his head with difficulty: "Hui Xian, if it were last time, I would have taken you away without hesitation, but not this time. I'm worried about the danger to you and the child."
Ye Huixian was startled and quickly asked what happened. Tie Ge told his wife everything about Mao Tou's revenge.
Hearing that Mao Tou had died so tragically, and seeing the knife wound in Tie Jun's abdomen, Ye Huixian's heart clenched.
My heart was pounding. On one hand, the child was too young, and on the other hand, I couldn't even protect myself, let alone the child.
In that case, Tie Ge is right. Staying in China is the safest option. I am safe, but what about Tie Ge?
"Brother Tie, is there any way to get back?"
Tie Ge shook his head: "Hui Xian, there's no way to do it for now. Things are very turbulent over there. If we don't bring the money back in time, I don't think we can keep it."
Did you bring any money back this time?
“I brought them, but these are just a drop in the ocean.” Brother Tie handed the bank draft and check to Ye Huixian.
Ye Huixian was also a little sad. If he couldn't protect the empire he had worked so hard to build, all those years of hard work would have been for nothing.
It's one thing to work for nothing, but what if someone takes a life? What should I do then?
The two whispered to each other for half the night and decided to ask Ye Ren, their father, since he was smart and experienced and should be able to give them an answer.
Once the mind relaxes, desires arise. Tie Ge told Ye Huixian that he had remained chaste for this very day.
Ye Huixian rolled his eyes at Tie Ge, thinking, "You're so chaste, but I'm no different."
Tie Ge hugged his wife tightly; how could anyone not love a woman like that?
The exercise didn't end until dawn. Ye Huixian fell into a deep sleep, while Tie Ge quickly got up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
As soon as the little darling woke up, he definitely wanted to eat. Sure enough, just as Tie Jun started to whimper, Tie Ge scooped him out of the blankets:
"Sweetie, Mommy is still sleeping. You can't wake her up, or she'll spank you."
Tie Jun babbled, "Butt."
Tie Ge was secretly delighted: "Good son, call me Dad."
Tie Jun pursed his lips: "Butt."
"Okay, butt it is then. Come on, Daddy will feed you breakfast." Tie Ge sat his son on his lap.
She was feeding her son bite by bite when she felt a sudden heat where Tie Jun was sitting, and a stream of boy's urine had soaked onto his legs.
Tie Ge flicked Tie Jun's nose: "You little rascal, you didn't even say anything when you peed, and you peed all over your father's pants."
Tie Jun babbled, "Pee-pee."
Tie Jun was secretly delighted: "Good son, call me Dad."
Tie Jun opened his mouth and said, "Pee."
Okay, all that's missing is the poop, then we'll have everything.
These things really shouldn't be mentioned; Tie Jun could already smell an indescribable odor in his nose.
She quickly took her son to the bathroom and, before he had completely emptied his bowels, let him sit on the small spittoon.
There was hot water in the thermos, so I added a little cold water. After Tie Jun finished pooping, I washed his little bottom.
The morning passed in a flurry of activity, but it wasn't over yet; Tie Jun was hungry again.
Tie Ge could only find the biscuits in his suitcase; he remembered bringing biscuits back with him.
Tie Jun was happily munching on his biscuits when Tie Ge hurried to the kitchen to start cooking lunch.
Tie Jun finished the biscuits in his hand, but he still wanted more. He couldn't say it, so he just started crying.
The jarring sound startled Ye Huixian awake. He quickly got out of bed, threw on a robe, and ran out.
Tie Jun shook his head helplessly: "Hui Xian, you're too amazing. This kid is too difficult to manage."
Ye Huixian smiled. She could tell him that when she was in Shanghai, she not only had a housekeeper, but her mother also helped take care of her children.
