Chapter 631 Returning Home

Ye Chenming nodded vigorously, agreeing that he should listen to his wife and never kiss her there again, but he could kiss her a little lower down.

Yan Xiaonan was furious and really wanted to bite him. What should she do?

“Nan Nan, Grandpa has prepared the return gifts. Also, he, Grandma, and Dad want to come back with us.”

Yan Xiaonan was stunned. Could she bring her father-in-law and grandparents on her homecoming? She thought back to when she was a child and went back to her parents' home with her mother, her grandmother would come along too.

He nodded repeatedly: "Let's go, it'll be fun."

Ye Chenming knew that Nan Nan would have this attitude, so he quickly pulled his wife down to sit: "Eat breakfast first, or you'll be hungry."

Looking at the sweet egg and lotus seed soup, Yan Xiaonan knew that Sheng Lijuan must have made it; her skills were getting better and better.

After breakfast, the two quickly tidied up. Yan Xiaonan also took out some fruits, snacks, chicken, duck, fish and meat from her space, thinking that with so many people, they should prepare more food.

Ye Chenming watched Yan Xiaonan constantly taking things out and couldn't help but ask, "Nannan, do you have any weapons among your treasures?"

Yan Xiaonan thought it over carefully and realized that there seemed to be nothing, except for the kitchen knife and baseball bat.

Ye Chenming nodded. He planned to get some good things for Nannan, so that his wife could at least protect herself if he wasn't around.

Ye Chenming put everything into a large bag, closed the door, and, carrying the gifts in one hand and supporting Yan Xiaonan with the other, walked towards the front yard.

Ye Ren also prepared many gifts, and the food, drinks and entertainment were basically all provided. The two guards worked together perfectly, one carrying the things and the other driving.

Sheng Lijuan and Ye Huiguo also helped lift Fu Qingping into the car. Ye Ren told them to close the door and come over with Ye Chenming and the others.

In the courtyard, Grandma Yan was already pacing anxiously. What time is it? Why hasn't the little girl come yet? Is she going to drive me crazy with worry?

Upon hearing the car horn, they quickly ran out. A guard got out of the car and inspected the courtyard.

Grandma Yan was startled. What did this mean? Ye Ren shook his head. The spy had just been caught. How could someone else possibly come to assassinate him?

The guards glanced around warily before carrying Fu Qingping down.

Grandma Yan never expected that instead of her beloved son, her in-laws would arrive first. She quickly called out to Qiangzi, asking him to come out and greet the guests.

Yan Xiaoqiang rushed out of the west wing. "My mother is shouting so loudly, I hope something bad has happened again."

He smiled when he saw Ye Ren and the others. It turned out that his father-in-law had arrived. He warmly welcomed them in and told Dongnan to quickly make some tea.

"In-laws, have you had breakfast yet? How is Nan Nan? Has she gone out yet? Nan Nan, be good. If she's not, tell me and I'll discipline her."

Grandma Yan rambled on and on when she suddenly heard a familiar car sound outside, and she quickly ran out.

Ye Ren was still considering how to answer Yan Jia's eldest sister-in-law's question when she disappeared. Well, as long as her granddaughter appears, no problem will matter.

"Grandma, did you miss me?" Yan Xiaonan hugged Grandma Yan as soon as she got out of the car.

"Of course I want to, how could I not? It's only been a few autumns, do you think I want to or not?" Grandma Yan pulled Yan Xiaonan up and down, looking her over until she was sure there was no problem before she felt relieved.

“Great-grandmother, it feels like three autumns have passed since I last saw you. Aunt, am I right?” Liu Jin rushed out as well.

"You think you're so capable? Get out of here." Grandma Yan rolled her eyes at Liu Jin, who ran up with a grin and grabbed Yan Xiaonan's other hand.

Yan Aidang and Ye Chen'er also came over with a large bag of things, and they affectionately patted Liu Jin's head when they saw him.

Ever since Liu Jin stood up for Yan Xiaonan last time, Yan Aidang has changed his opinion of Liu Jin.

A child who was only a teenager showed no fear of death when facing thugs with guns.

This kid's personality and temper are probably spoiled by his family, but his character is absolutely excellent.

Liu Jin knew that Yan Aidang had changed his opinion of him, and he cherished this hard-won opportunity. He kept reminding himself that humility and composure were the true principles.

The homecoming dinner was very lavish. Xuemei and the others took the children to the living room to eat, leaving only Ye Ren and the others, along with Grandma Yan and the others, at the table.

"Sister-in-law, can you move in today? No, it's definitely too late today. How about tomorrow?" Ye Ren asked.

Grandma Yan smiled so broadly her eyes disappeared. She knew she would be moving in, but she didn't expect her in-laws to be so accommodating.

"It's fine to move a couple of days earlier, but I have to wait for Bei Nan to come back from the hospital, otherwise it will be inconvenient to come and go."

So it turns out we're waiting for Bei Nan. But even if we're waiting for Bei Nan, we can wait in an eight-courtyard house.

"Cuihua, why don't you move in today? I don't know how much longer I can teach you. There's still so much you haven't learned," Fu Qingping said.

Cuihua felt a pang of sadness; her teacher's wife's words were truly heartbreaking.

She glanced at Yan Xiaoqiang and Grandma Yan; she knew she couldn't make that decision herself.

"Cuihua, why don't you move over there first, get things sorted out there, and then come pick me up?" Grandma Yan said.

Cuihua glanced at Yan Xiaonan again, and Yan Xiaonan nodded. That would work too. After all, there were a lot of people in the family, and someone had to go and make arrangements first.

“Auntie, I’ll move with you today.” Yan Aidang raised her hand to speak. The courtyard house was indeed a bit small. She didn’t even have a room if she wanted to stay here. Now was the perfect opportunity.

Ye Ren coughed and said with a smile, "Actually, you don't need to bring anything. Chen Ming and Nan Nan have already taken care of everything over there."

Grandma Yan didn't understand what "all done" meant; the last time they went to see it, it was just an empty house.

"Grandma, what Grandpa means is that you don't need to bring anything except your favorite clothes and treasures, everything is available over there."

Grandma Yan understood. If that's the case, then what are we waiting for? Let's move in tomorrow or the day after.

Yan Xiaonan liked Nai's straightforward and generous personality; she was unpretentious, decisive, and incredibly insightful.

Ye Ren and Fu Qingping both laughed. They were moving in the next day or two, so they asked the aunt to prepare more food. They should at least have a moving-out meal.

The atmosphere gradually intensified, and even Lulu squeezed next to Yan Xiaonan, rubbing against his arm.

Yan Xiaonan hugged Lulu's neck tightly: "Lulu, will you come to the new house with me?"

Lulu's body has not fully recovered, but it can already walk slowly.

Hearing Yan Xiaonan's words, her big, wet eyes blinked, charming everyone present.

"I'll go to the garment factory the day after tomorrow to borrow a truck and prepare everything you want to take, including Lulu," Ye Chenming said.

Old Man Chen spoke up: "Cuihua, Nannan, you're moving the day after tomorrow, right? Then we, the old couple, will head back tomorrow."

Cuihua looked at her father with a smile and said, "Dad, Mom, have you ever thought about staying here to retire?"
