Chapter 633 The Yan Family Moves

Early on the third day, Yan Aidang went to the clothing factory to borrow a car. Upon learning that the boss needed the car, the drivers quickly checked its condition and took Yan Aidang to the courtyard house.

Grandma Yan stood at the front, watching them each with a suitcase, and Yan Xiaonan felt like she was taking them on a trip abroad.

Grandma has never been abroad, right? In a few more years, she will be able to take Grandma and her parents on a trip abroad.

The group from the southeast and southwest loaded all the suitcases into the car, and then one person in the car and one person on the ground carried the children into the car as well.

The little deer was getting anxious; it couldn't get on. Ye Chenming comforted the little deer, found some wooden planks, leaned them against the carriage, and guided the little deer onto the train.

The deer glanced at Yan Xiaonan, and seeing Yan Xiaonan smiling at it, it mustered its courage and stepped onto the car.

When the little deer stood still in the carriage, the children cheered. "The little deer is so great!" The little deer stuck out its head and licked Yan Xiaonan's cheek, and Yan Xiaonan's heart calmed down.

Only three people could sit in the front of the truck. Grandma Yan and Cuihua sat in the front, and the rest of the passengers sat in the back of the truck.

Old Man Chen and his mother also got into the car. They always wanted to familiarize themselves with the place, and Yan Xiaoqiang would be staying with them for a while.

As soon as the car arrived at the entrance of the eight-courtyard house, Ye Huili and Ye Huiguo set off firecrackers.

The crackling sounds continued as Grandma Yan, supported by several children, got out of the car and thanked Ye Ren and the others for their care.

Ye Renxiao's sincerity and the arrival of the Yan family could at least bring this courtyard house to life and make it lively.

The children all got off the bus, but stood in front of it encouraging the little deer. Getting off the bus was harder than getting on. Yan Xiaonan stood by the wooden plank and guided the little deer down.

When the fawn finally put its feet on solid ground, it even skipped and ran a few steps, its excited appearance making everyone laugh.

Yan Aidang took a pack of cigarettes and a packet of candy and stuffed them into the driver's hand. The driver was so touched that he thanked her repeatedly.

"A red Zhonghua cigarette? If I take it out, those people will be so envious." He said goodbye to Yan Xiaonan and the others, and then left. The factory still needed the car.

When the children saw Ye Ren, they greeted him politely and loudly. His clear and soft voice warmed their hearts.

That's how it should be, with children chattering away every day and the clanging and banging of cooking in the kitchen.

There was the sound of Mili Mara opera coming from Grandma Yan's radio, and the excited clattering of deer as they ran around in their new place.

Ye Ren seemed to see the Ye family in its heyday, just like before, with its house bustling with activity, people coming and going every day.

The hired auntie happily got busy; such a big house should have so many people living there.

The children chose their rooms in order of age, and Liu Jin naturally chose the first one.

Southeast and Southwest helped the children tidy up their rooms, while Xuemei and Cuihua went to help in the kitchen.

We're having a housewarming dinner today, and with so many people, we'll need at least three tables.

Ye Chenming wanted to take Yan Xiaonan back to the inner courtyard to rest. He felt that Yan Xiaonan's physical condition was not as good as before, and he was very distressed.

Yan Xiaonan felt a warmth in her heart. It wasn't that she was unwell; it was just that she had been too fierce in the past. Losing her superpowers had simply meant she had returned to a normal state.

"Chenming, I'm not tired, really. I won't feel at ease until I help Grandma get the room ready."

Ye Chenming nodded, "That's right." He led Grandma Yan into the north room, which was larger than the north room in the three-courtyard house.

Yan Xiaonan opened a door in the north room: "Grandma, this is the toilet, and there's a sink and a bathtub. You won't have to go out to use the toilet anymore."

Grandma Yan looked at the clean and tidy bathroom, her face beaming with joy. From now on, she wouldn't have to suffer the cold to use the toilet in the east wing on freezing days.

It turns out that Yan Xiaonan's original drawings clearly indicated that each room must have its own bathroom, including the rear room and the back room.

The toilet in the east wing is for public use, so that guests can use it conveniently if they come.

For this design, Yan Aidang used a lot of connections and spent a lot of effort, laying underground pipes and taking all necessary precautions.

Yan Xiaoqiang was extremely satisfied with the bathroom in the west wing. With the toilet and bathroom in the room, he wouldn't have to stay up all night anymore.

The west wing has three rooms: one is the bedroom for Yan Xiaoqiang and his wife, and the middle room serves as the inner living room.

The entire room on the left was filled with the exquisite items that Fu Qingping had sent over, and Yan Xiaoqiang was considering adding a lock to this room.

The little deer found its wooden hut at the far end of the west wing, near the moon gate, and happily crawled in and out. This hut was much bigger than the one in the courtyard.

Ye Ren stood by the moon gate, watching the Yan family bustling about, his eyes welling up with tears.

If Chenming and Nannan could have two children soon, that would be wonderful. Oh, and I need to find a recipe for medicinal cuisine to nourish Nannan's body later.

Lunch was a bit late today, and dinner was a bit early. By evening, the wine glasses were already full.

Even Yan Daqiang, Xue Ying, and Xue Honggen took special leave to attend the housewarming celebration.

Xue Honggen, besides his only son Xue Ying, lived alone in the military region. Although he wasn't exactly lonely, he longed for family affection as he got older.

Ye Ren pointed to the front courtyard's rear building: "General Xue, the middle courtyard is already full, but the front courtyard is empty. Come and sit for a while when you have time, so we can keep each other company."

Xue Honggen's eyes lit up, and he raised his glass and downed it in one gulp: "Ye Ren, you'd better keep your word."

Ye Ren nodded repeatedly; how could he go back on his word?

Xue Honggen said to the guard Xiaohe, "Go get some wine. I'm not going home tonight. I'm going to drink until I drop."

Xiao He, the bodyguard, had been by Xue Honggen's side since childhood. Hearing Xue Honggen's willful words, he almost burst into tears. It's good to let him have his way occasionally; Xue is working too hard.

After the meal, Ye Chenming led Yan Xiaoqiang and Old Man Chen back to the courtyard house, which was to be converted into a high-end shop.

"Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, I'm going back now. Call me if you need anything. Here's my phone number, please keep it safe."

Ye Chenming handed Yan Xiaoqiang a piece of paper with his phone number and name written on it.

This once bustling courtyard house was suddenly deserted, with only one man and two elderly people remaining, and the silence was almost eerie.

Yan Xiaonan had a few drinks today, and from now on, this will be her real home.

In this family, I have a husband, parents, grandparents, brother and sister-in-law, and children. It's very good.

If I could have another child, well, that would be even more perfect.

When Ye Chenming returned to the backyard, he saw Yan Xiaonan lost in a beautiful dream.

He gently kissed Yan Xiaonan's cheek: "Goodnight, my wife."
