Chapter 654 Reunion Dinner

"Dad, how about we have a family reunion dinner and let Aiguo meet you?" Yan Daqiang asked.

Xue Honggen thought for a moment and asked, "Where are you now?"

"It's in that courtyard house in Nannan."

"Then let's have dinner here tonight, don't go to the Ye family's," Xue Honggen advised.

Yan Daqiang knew, of course, that was Nan Nan's husband's family home. It was fine to be a guest, and although a room was provided, it was only for occasional overnight stays.

Yan Ge also rushed over, and as soon as he entered, he saw Yan Zheng looking refreshed and energized, and threw a punch at him:

"You brat, where have you been? It's been almost two and a half years, and I haven't heard a word from you."

Yan Zheng could have easily avoided Yan Li's fist, but he deliberately didn't. Now, only the two brothers are left in the second branch of the Yan family.

The fist looked heavy, but it actually landed lightly on Yan Zheng's chest. Yan Zheng grasped Yan Ge's hand and said:

"I went to an island nation to make money, brother. I'm doing great, don't worry. How are you doing now?"

"What? You went to Japan? How did you get there?" Yan Ge was startled.

"Shh, brother, don't tell me now, I'll tell you later."

Yan Ge was heartbroken. Just like Bei Nan, he had gone there secretly and must have suffered a lot.

Yan Ge looked around. His aunt was still talking to Yan Aiguo, while Lao Gui sat to the side in a daze. He then pulled Yan Zheng to the side room.

Yan Xiaoqiang arrived with Cuihua and Grandma Yan, while Ye Chenming arrived with Yan Xiaonan. They all wanted to see Yan Aiguo, whom they had never met before.

The courtyard became lively. Seeing the face that looked so much like Yan Daqiang's, and Yan Aiguo's reserved appearance, everyone felt a pang of sadness.

"Patriotism, do you want to stay here, or go back to your own home?" Xue Ying asked.

Yan Aiguo shook his head: "I don't know, I've also forgotten where my home is."

Cuihua's maternal love was overflowing, but she still knew her limits and knew it was inappropriate to take Yan Aiguo to the courtyard house.

"Patriotism, this is Nan Nan's house. You can stay here without worry. They are my parents, they are all family."

Yan Aiguo nodded gratefully: "Thank you, Aunt Cuihua, thank you, Sister Nannan."

Yan Xiaonan flashed eight teeth. This patriotic older brother was actually quite shy, a complete contrast to Yan Ai Dang.

"Chenming, why don't you call Ai Dang and tell him that Ai Guo is back? Guess if he'll be scared to death."

Ye Chenming revealed his dimples. "Nan Nan is so naughty. Let's go fight her then."

The two went to the living room to make a phone call. Sure enough, Yan Aidang was so happy to hear that her older brother had returned that she almost made Ye Chenming deaf.

Half an hour later, Yan Aidang arrived at the courtyard with Ye Chen'er. As soon as Yan Aidang saw Yan Aiguo, he pounced on him.

"Big brother, how come you look more like Dad than me? Where have you been? Do you even remember your little brother?"

A barrage of questions left Yan Aiguo unsure which to answer first, and he scratched his head in bewilderment.

"I'm sorry, you're Ai Dang, right? I have amnesia, so I can't remember a lot of things."

Yan Aidang was stunned for a moment, and looked at Ye Chen'er beside him in confusion, wondering what the hell amnesia was.

Ye Chen'er was also somewhat at a loss. What was originally a very happy reunion suddenly became a bit heavy.

Yan Xiaoqiang quickly said, "Cuihua, why don't you take Chen'er and the others to buy some groceries? My brother said we should have a family reunion dinner together tonight."

Cuihua quickly took out a basket and a net from the kitchen and pulled Ye Chen'er out the door.

Yan Xiaoqiang was worried; Chen'er had just become pregnant, so he decided to help carry the things himself.

Southeast brought Xuemei, Southwest brought Duoduo, and Liujin all arrived at the courtyard.

Yan Aiguo identified them one by one: "This is Fubao, right? This is Xiao Liujin, my own niece, so cute."

Before nightfall, Xue Honggen arrived with his guards and saluted Yan Aiguo.

Yan Aiguo was at a loss. He knew that the old man was his maternal grandfather, but shouldn't a maternal grandfather be very kind?

Like Grandma Yan, who is my own grandmother, her kind smile and sincere greetings are the true attitude of family.

"Take off your shirt," Xue Honggen ordered.

"What?" Yan Aiguo was startled. With so many people around, how could they ask him to take off his clothes?

"Hurry up, take off your shirt."

Xue Honghong shouted again.

Seeing that no one objected, Yan Aiguo slowly took off his coat and shirt, leaving only his snow-white vest.

"Take off your vest too," Xue Honggen ordered.

Yan Aiguo had no choice but to take off his vest, revealing his strong upper body. Ye Chenming quickly covered Yan Xiaonan's eyes, telling him not to look at what was improper.

Yan Xiaonan was secretly laughing to herself. Didn't Chen Ming know that she could use her consciousness to see?

Ye Chenming knew this, of course. He whispered in her ear, "If you really want to see, I'll take my clothes off for you tonight. I promise I'll look better than him."

Yan Xiaonan was speechless. She really didn't want to see this jealousy; after all, it was her older brother.

“Turn around.” Xue Honggen’s voice trembled slightly.

Yan Aiguo turned around as instructed, revealing a scar on the right side of his back where he had been shot by a sniper.

When Xue Honggen saw the scar, tears welled up in his eyes. He was truly patriotic; the scar was from when he shielded Xue Honggen from a bullet.

“Patriotism, you really are patriotic. Where have you been all this time? And how did you lose your memory?” Xue Honggen asked, choking back tears.

Yan Aiguo looked at Xue Honggen and answered irrelevantly, "Can I put on my clothes now?"

"Yes, yes, Grandpa will help you put it on." Xue Honggen quickly picked up the vest.

Yan Aiguo smiled and said, "Grandpa, I can dress myself."

The word "Grandpa" brought tears to Xue Honggen's eyes. For so many years, he had felt guilty because it was he who insisted on sending Yan Aiguo to the border.

"Being alive is the most important thing. Nothing else matters. Come on, let's eat!" Yan Xiaoqiang shouted.

Yan Aiguo looked at his many family members and smiled happily. Although he couldn't remember them all, it was enough that they remembered.

After a few rounds of drinks, Xue Ying said, "Aiguo, you should get some rest tonight. Tomorrow I'll take you to the hospital for a checkup to see what caused your amnesia."

Yan Aiguo nodded. He was also anxious; he needed to find the missing piece of memory in his mind.

Cuihua readily agreed: "Xue Ying, Nan Nan is also going to the hospital for a prenatal check-up tomorrow, let's go together."

Xue Ying nodded and said gently to Yan Aiguo, "Then wait for us tomorrow, we'll come pick you up."

Yan Aidang felt a pang of sadness: "Mom, my older brother is back, and you only have eyes for him. The way you're talking makes me so jealous."

Xue Ying rolled her eyes at Yan Aidang: "Your older brother hasn't been back for so many years, how can you be jealous of him? Doesn't your conscience hurt?"

Yan Aidang was defeated and said to Yan Aiguo, "Brother, I was just joking, don't take it to heart."
