Chapter 838 Ancestral Hall (3)

When Ye Ren, along with the children and Uncle Wen, caught up with them in the backyard, they witnessed this shocking scene.

Old Eagle stood beside Yan Xiaonan and Ye Chenming, like a guard, ready to protect Yan Xiaonan at any time.

The fledgling eagles perched on Ye Enming's shoulders. Although they were all small, they were more imposing than Yan Xiaonan and the others beside them.

When the fledgling eagle saw Ye Ren and the others enter the backyard, it began to flap its wings again, preparing to attack.

Enming touched the fledgling eagle, and it immediately quieted down. Yan Xiaonan was amazed. She needed to use her special ability to control animals, but Enming only needed to touch it, and the little guy obeyed.

"Nan Nan, what's going on?" Ye Ren asked.

"Grandpa, it's alright. The mountain eagle was wronged and came to complain," Yan Xiaonan said, trying her best to suppress a laugh.

Ye Ren glanced at the mountain eagle. He recognized it. How could such a big creature be wronged? It was utterly useless.

“Grandpa, didn’t you send a tigress to Mushroom Mountain in Beijing last time? They had cubs, so they drove away all the eagles,” Yan Xiaonan explained.

Ye Ren also wanted to laugh, but considering the mountain eagle's pride, he covered his mouth with the back of his hand and coughed to cover up his uncontrollable laughter.

“That won’t do. Tiger King is too domineering. How can he monopolize the entire mountain? We can split it in half, or you can bring the tiger cub over here and send it to the zoo,” Ye Ren said.

Mountain Eagle excitedly took a few steps toward Ye Ren. What a good person he is.

Ye En quickly stepped in front of Ye Ren to prevent it from harming him.

Yan Xiaonan closed his eyes, and his consciousness spread out, all the way to Mushroom Mountain in Beijing. Tiger King, who was feeling smug, suddenly felt a familiar energy fluctuation, excitedly picked up the tiger cub that was still crawling on the ground, and stood on the high slope.

Its tiger wife followed suit, because she also sensed the energy fluctuations.

However, Yan Xiaonan only instructed it to give up half of the mountain to the mountain eagle, otherwise he would take away its tiger cubs.

Tiger King drooped his head, placed the tiger cub in front of his mate, and turned to leave. He was going to mark his territory. The south side had plenty of sunshine and food, so he would occupy the southern hilltop.

The mountain eagle knew its journey hadn't been in vain. It glanced at the fledgling, flapped its wings, and flew away in a flurry.

The fledgling eagle flapped its wings twice, then obediently perched on Enming's shoulder, nestled against her, and remained motionless.

"Grandpa, it seems we need to build a nest for the eaglet," Yan Xiaonan said, patting the eaglet's head.

Ye Ren nodded. The family had a new member, which was a cause for celebration.

Enming happily stroked the fledgling eagle, looked up at Yan Xiaonan, and said in a childish voice, "Mommy, name."

Yan Xiaonan squatted down, kissed Enming's little face, and said, "Mommy's baby, shouldn't we name our little eagle? Do you want to think of one yourself?"

Ye Enming tilted her head and thought for a moment before saying, "Mingbao."

Yan Xiaonan immediately understood and gave two thumbs up, praising, "Enming is so amazing! Enming is Mommy's darling, and Mingbao is Enming's darling, right?"

Enming smiled and nodded, then staggered towards Ye Ren's direction. He wanted to tell his great-grandfather that Enming had a baby named Mingbao.

With Ye En's help, Ye Ren squatted down and hugged the little guy who had rushed into his arms. He smiled so wide his eyes disappeared. If he wasn't mistaken, this child was even more powerful than Yan Xiaonan.

He is too young now, so we must take good care of him, just like the fledgling eagle on his shoulder. When he can spread his wings and fly, all the birds will be afraid.

Uncle Wen squatted down, picked up Enming, and said happily, "Baby, shall we go set off firecrackers? We're going to worship our ancestors later, so can you ask them to bless you?"

Enming and Uncle Wen were already very familiar with each other, so she naturally put her arms around his neck, causing the fledgling eagle to constantly change its stance so that it could stand steadily on Enming's shoulder.

"From now on, when making clothes for Enming, we'll have to embroider cowhide on the shoulders and sleeves, and we'll also prepare a few sets of equipment for raising eagles," Ye Ren said.

Ye En nodded, and said he would prepare these things after the ancestral worship ceremony.

Grandma Yan and the others stood anxiously in the courtyard, waiting. When they saw Uncle Wen carrying Enming out, with a baby bird perched on Enming's shoulder, they hurriedly ran down.

Yan Xiaoqiang quickly helped Grandma Yan up, saying, "Mom, Mom, take it easy, Enming is fine."

When the fledgling bird saw Grandma Yan approaching, it reached out to touch Enming. Its beak extended, but it was startled by Enming's gaze and dared not move. Yan Xiaonan could see this clearly. Seeing that Enming could skillfully control the mountain eagle, she finally felt relieved.

Grandma Yan was also startled by the eaglet's movements. Every time it pecked at her, a piece of flesh would be missing from the back of her hand, and she would unconsciously pull her outstretched hand back.

When Enming saw this, she grabbed Grandma Yan's hand and placed it on her face affectionately. The little bird also stretched out its neck, as if it wanted Grandma Yan to touch it too.

Everyone was filled with envy, especially Duoduo. He ran up to Enming, looked at her, and cautiously asked, "Enming, little brother, can I touch the little bird?"

Enming corrected, "It's not 'bird,' it's... it's..."

He couldn't say the word "mountain eagle," so he turned to look for Yan Xiaonan.

Ye Ren said, "It's a mountain eagle, a very powerful bird of prey."

Enming nodded repeatedly, confirming that this was exactly what her great-grandfather meant.

Yan Xiaonan checked the time. Thanks to Shan Ying's actions, there was no time for breakfast. Ye Ren had said that the ancestral worship ceremony had to end before nine o'clock in the morning.

Fortunately, Cuihua and the others had already prepared steamed buns, bread, milk, and soy milk in the kitchen, so anyone who was hungry could just grab a bun and eat it.

Yan Xiaonan also took a piece of cake and placed it in Enming's hand, saying that she would eat a few bites when she felt hungry.

Enming held the cake in her little hands, broke it in half, ate one half herself, and gave the other half to Chuying. It was Chuying's first time eating something like this, and she ate it happily.

"Grandma Yan, are you ready? If you are, we're going to pay respects to our ancestors."

Ye Ren looked at Grandma Yan excitedly and asked.

Grandma Yan tugged at her brand-new cotton coat and nodded happily.

Yan Xiaoqiang helped Grandma Yan into the car on the left, Ye Chenming helped Fu Qingping and Ye Ren into the car on the right, while Yan Xiaonan, carrying Enming and Ye Chenming, stood between the two cars and walked towards the ancestral hall.

The Yan and Ye families automatically lined up at the back. However, apart from Ye Huili supporting Tianru and Yushu, followed by Ye Huiguo and Sheng Lijuan, as well as Ye En and Uncle Wen, there were basically no other people in the Ye family's line.
