Chapter 926 Tang Jianjun is Gone (3)

Tang Xiaojun understood immediately; he was a veteran and possessed certain investigative abilities.

He pulled Southwest, who was still talking to Tang's mother, aside and said, "Did my father tell you that Duoduo is coming to the capital?"

Southwest felt a pang of anxiety, but not wanting to lie, he nodded.

"Did you go to pick it up?" Tang Xiaojun asked.

"I forgot, there's a lot going on at the factory, I really forgot." This is what makes Southwest feel guilty.

"My dad was worried that Duoduo would go to such a far place alone, so he stayed by the phone waiting for you to call, and you actually forgot," Tang Xiaojun said angrily.

"And my dad will definitely call you. You're not deliberately ignoring it, are you?" Tang Xiaojun asked.

"No, it's just that I probably didn't hang up the phone properly in my office, and I was also beaten up by Southeast and ended up in the hospital." Southwest's voice grew softer and softer.

"Beinan, I don't blame you. You don't know how anxious my father is. Dongnan, I blame you even less. Good for hitting him. That house belongs to my nephew. Why should he put junk in it?"

If anyone's to blame, it's Southwest. But I know that even if I report it to the police, they won't say Southwest is guilty. But I will curse Southwest to a terrible death for the rest of my life.

Southwest's face was deathly pale, even paler than Tang's mother's, especially the way Tang's mother looked at him, as if she could see right through him.

Ma Mingchun had already sent people over to set up the mourning hall, and Bei Nan quickly took out a stack of money and gave it to Ma Mingchun, saying he would pay for it.

Although it was too late, it was still a form of atonement. Ma Mingchun shook his head; this matter really couldn't be blamed on Bei Nan.

Since Bei Nan feels that giving some money will make him feel better, then let him take it. A living person can't be suffocated by wanting to pee.

Yan Xiaonan also took out a sum of money, not much, five thousand yuan, which was for the funeral expenses of the employees.

Tang's mother glanced at Yan Xiaonan, took the money, and finally a tear rolled down her cheek.

"Nan Nan, what should I do now?"

Tang Xiaojun stepped forward: "Mom, come home with me, I'll take care of you in your old age."

Before Tang's mother could say anything more, Tang Xiaojun said, "Mom, don't worry about it. He's a kid from the Southwest, he has nothing to do with us."

Mrs. Tang opened her mouth, not knowing how to speak. After all, this was a child they had raised; how could she bear to abandon him?

Besides, Duoduo did nothing wrong. He's just a fifteen-year-old kid. If he got hurt, wouldn't he want to run to his grandparents?

Tang Xiaojun understood his mother's thoughts and softened: "Mom, let's wait for Duoduo to come back before burying Dad."

The weather is hot now, and Tang Jianjun is still in the hospital morgue, so there are no problems for the time being.

When Duoduo comes back, it will be the third day, the day of the spirit offering. The only concern is that Duoduo might not come back until the afternoon, which would cause us to miss the auspicious time.

On the third day, everything was arranged, and they were just waiting for Duoduo to come back. Tang Xiaojun and Ma Mingchun went straight to the train station.

According to the train schedule, it should arrive at noon. Now I just hope the train arrives on time and not late.

Perhaps God was taking pity on Tang Jianjun, because the train arrived three hours early. When Tang Jianjun saw Duoduo, his heart ached.

Duoduo's hair was messy, her clothes were wrinkled, and her face was covered in dirt, as if something had gotten on it.

She held her schoolbag tightly in her hands, because it contained not only books, but also a savings book given to her by her grandfather.

The train conductor has already called Ye Chenming. The child is somewhat autistic and doesn't allow anyone to get close.

"What are you doing here?" Duo Duo frowned when he saw Tang Xiaojun. He remembered very clearly how this man had bullied his grandfather.

Ma Mingchun panicked. This was not the time to cause trouble. He grabbed Duoduo, who was trying to run away, and said, "Put on mourning clothes and see your grandfather off."

Duo Duo seemed to not quite understand Ma Mingchun's words. He liked Ma Mingchun because he was genuinely good to his grandfather.

"Uncle Mingchun, who will I be responsible for seeing off in my final days?"

“Grandpa, your aunt and the others are here now. Go and see them. Don’t run away, the car is outside.” Ma Mingchun grabbed Duoduo, who was about to run back.

Duo Duo didn't say anything, followed Ma Mingchun into the car, and ran towards the house as soon as she got out: "Grandpa, Grandpa, Grandma, I'm back."

Tang Jianjun was already dressed in his burial clothes and lay quietly in the coffin, which was surrounded by ice blocks.

As soon as Duoduo ran to the door, she saw a coffin and the mourning hall behind it.

His legs went weak and he knelt directly on the hard cement slab. Just hearing that sound made his knees ache.

Duo Duo's tears kept flowing down her face, but she couldn't make a sound.

"Duoduo, good boy, come here, let me wash your face." Yan Xiaonan took a towel, soaked it in well water, and washed Duoduo's face.

The cold towel touched her skin, and Duoduo shivered. She stiffly turned her head, saw Yan Xiaonan, and blinked.

"Auntie, why are you so late?"

Duoduo's soul returned to its place. The grievances and resentment along the way, as well as the sudden bad news, made the child unable to bear it any longer, and she burst into tears.

Yan Xiaonan held Duo Duo's head and let him cry his heart out in her arms. Sister Bao across from them also silently shed tears.

Tang Xiaojun and his mother also cried while holding the coffin, but they were careful not to let their tears fall into the coffin.

Duo Duo cried for a while, wiped away her tears with a towel, and kowtowed nine times to the coffin: "Grandpa, Duo Duo is sending you on your way."

He had promised to break the basin and send off his grandfather in his final moments, so he had to do it.

Duoduo changed into mourning clothes, draped himself in hemp cloth, and tied white cloth strips around his neck, looking every bit the dutiful son and grandson, which infuriated Tang Xiaojun, but he was helpless.
