Chapter 946 Reporting for Duty

On the day of registration, Yan Xiaonan dropped the children off at the school gate and left. Although the children were still young, she believed that they had enough self-care and self-protection abilities.

The two arrived at the registration desk with large bags of luggage. The school already knew that two child prodigies would be registering this year, and the students at the registration desk all came up to them at the same time.

"Are you Ye Tianru and Ye Yushu? Are you here to register?" a senior student asked, half-squatting down.

Tianru and Yushu nodded at the same time and took out their admission notices simultaneously. This synchronized action delighted the senior students. After all, they were twins, and they had something in common.

"Although you are twins, there is a difference between boys and girls, so you will be assigned to two different dorm rooms. Here are your dorm room keys and your bed assignments, and this is the payment receipt. Don't lose them." A senior student was nagging on and on while processing your enrollment procedures.

Another senior looked around and then asked, "Ye Tianru, didn't your parents come to see you off?"

Tianru pouted slightly and said, "You're already a college student, why should your parents worry about you? What's the point of going to college then?"

Everyone was stunned, especially some of the local "mama's boys," whose parents were standing behind with their luggage, waiting for their children to arrive so they could help make the beds and fold blankets in the dormitory.

Hearing Tianru's words, her face turned redder than the setting sun. She quickly turned around, took the luggage from her parents, and told them to hurry home. She said that this was a small matter and she didn't need her parents' help.

The senior student gave Tianru a thumbs up, saying that one sentence saved a bunch of mama's boys. That's great.

"You're still young, so I'll give you lower bunks. Don't switch with anyone, okay?" The senior student thought for a moment but was still worried, so he had two people follow behind them, just in case someone bullied the kids.

The two went to their respective dorm rooms. The senior students gave them lower bunks by the window, which were the best beds in the dorm.

Tianru was fine; after putting away her luggage and making her bed, she went downstairs to wait for Yushu to pay her tuition together. However, Yushu encountered a problem: her bed was occupied.

Yu Shu didn't know who had taken her bed. She carefully checked the names and found that there was nothing on the bed of someone named Li Guixiang.

That's Li Guixiang taking over my bed. Look at her bed, it's near the dormitory door and it's the top bunk. No wonder she's trying to take my bed.

Without hesitation, he rolled up Li Guixiang's quilt, threw it on top, then carefully wiped it with a new rag before laying out his own bedding.

The senior student who followed her wanted to help Yushu pack up the girl's things, but little did he know that the little girl, though small, was very strong. He finally understood why their parents hadn't sent them to school.

She's so fierce, there's no need to escort her anymore. She told Yu Shu to go to her if she encountered any problems, and then hurriedly left, as many other students were coming to register today.

Six female students were already packing their luggage in the dormitory. When they saw Yu Shu, their eyes widened, and they thought to themselves that this little prodigy was really beautiful.

After she threw Li Guixiang's bedding onto the upper bunk, all six of them fell silent. This little girl was incredibly strong; it seemed Li Guixiang had really messed up this time. She even dared to bully a child prodigy. Could it be said that she had no brains?

Yu Shu made the bed, packed her luggage, and went straight downstairs to find Tian Ru. Tian Ru found it strange; Yu Shu wasn't usually this slow. But when he heard about his sister's heroic deeds, he grinned from ear to ear:

"Little sister, you have something to do today. If you can't, come to me. Your brother isn't just for show."

Yu Shu smiled, her eyes crinkling. It was so nice to have an older brother. Although she could handle it with one hand, the most gratifying thing was that someone was willing to help.

I paid my tuition, got my student ID, bought a meal card, and then picked up my books. That completed all my tasks for the day. The local students are all getting ready to go home. There are still three or four days until the actual start of the semester.

Yu Shu and Tian Ru returned to their dormitory and sorted out the books they had received. Just as Yu Shu was about to leave, Li Guixiang entered carrying a large bundle of books.

She immediately noticed that her bedding had been thrown onto her bed, and her face darkened. She looked at Yu Shu and said, "How can you be so inconsiderate, touching my things like that? I really don't know how you got accepted. A child prodigy? Bah!"

"Who are you? Did you eat shit for breakfast today? Your mouth stinks," Yu Shu said immediately.

"You have no manners at all." After saying that, he put the book on his seat and then went to move Yu Shu's bedding.

"What are you going to do?" Yu Shu asked, blocking Li Guixiang's path.

“This is my bed, don’t you know?” Li Guixiang said, feigning ignorance.

"Look carefully, this bed is mine. Can't you read? How did you get in?" Yu Shu felt resentful. She was still too short and had to look up to talk to Li Guixiang.

Li Guixiang didn't want to talk to Yushu anymore, so she reached out and pushed Yushu hard, saying, "Get out of my way."

Yu Shu stepped aside and, taking advantage of Li Guixiang's loss of balance, kicked her in the sole of her foot.

"Ah!" Li Guixiang was kicked and forced to kneel on the ground, her knees throbbing with pain.

"It's no use kneeling to me, I won't give you the bed," Yu Shu said, feigning ignorance.

"You, you, you wait." Li Guixiang glanced at the other people in the dormitory and saw that none of them wanted to help her up. She was furious and could only slowly stand up on her own.

Yu Shu didn't even glance at her, picked up her backpack and left. She and Tian Ru still had to go to the stock exchange to study, and they would learn as much as they could in the next few days.

Yan Xiaonan did not actually leave the school, but parked the car near their dormitory. Her consciousness spread throughout the entire school, and she saw everything Tianru and Yushu did.

Yan Xiaonan was very satisfied with her daughter's performance. Although college life is intense and simple, if you are bullied and dare not fight back from the start, you will definitely live in misery for the next few years.

Especially for Yu Shu, who is still quite young, a ten-year-old going to university will definitely not have any classmates of the same age to make friends with, so she can't afford to be weak.

In recognition of Yu Shu's good performance, Yan Xiaonan decided to go to the mall to buy two cell phones for the two of them. Originally, Ye Ren did not approve of the children using cell phones, saying that it was too ostentatious.

However, in this environment, if Yu Shu had a cell phone, she could still call her family for help if she encountered something she couldn't handle, so it was essential to buy a cell phone.

After buying a mobile phone, I also got a SIM card and saved two phone numbers on my phone, as well as my own, Ye Chenming's, and home phone numbers.
