Chapter 70 Catching Adultery? (1/2)

Yang Huaiyuan and Zhou Wenwen walked into the state-run restaurant side by side.

Qiao Wanyue raised an eyebrow.

Why did they both come out together?

Yang Huaiyuan and Zhou Wenwen did not see Qiao Wanyue and Secretary Guo under the window. They entered the state-run restaurant as if they didn't see them. Zhou Wenwen hooked her arm around his clothes and rubbed against his shoulder from time to time.

Qiao Wanyue twitched her lips.

"Wanyue, what are you looking at?" Li Xiuxiu and Yang Miaomiao, two young girls, were chatting about the trendy dresses at the department store and were about to make plans to go shopping. They asked Qiao Wanyue if she wanted to come along, and when they looked up, they saw Qiao Wanyue staring in one direction and spoke up.

She followed Qiao Wanyue's gaze and saw a man and a woman standing intimately together. Nowadays, even married couples on the street keep their distance; people's thinking is quite traditional.

But the two of them kept nudging each other's shoulders, especially the woman, who would occasionally poke the man's waist with her small hand. Li Xiuxiu wasn't a clueless child, and seeing this, she muttered something.

It is offensive to public morals.

Yang Miaomiao didn't hear what she mumbled. "Xiuxiu, what did you say?"

She followed Li Xiuxiu's gaze and looked over, finding the two figures increasingly familiar.

Isn't that Yang Huaiyuan and Zhou Wenwen?

She gasped in surprise.

Secretary Guo and Minister Xu looked up at the same time, "What's wrong?"

Yang Miaomiao recognized the two people, but Li Xiuxiu did not. She pointed to the two people standing behind the counter and said, "There's a couple there, pulling and tugging at each other in broad daylight."

Yang Miaomiao subconsciously looked at Qiao Wanyue. Zhou Wenwen was from the same village as her and also a neighbor of the Lu family. Qiao Wanyue should have recognized her from the beginning, and Yang Huaiyuan was her former fiancé.

These two people are so close.

A dramatic scene flashed through Yang Miaomiao's mind.

At this moment, Yang Huaiyuan and Zhou Wenwen had finished ordering and were queuing at the door. The state-run restaurant was very crowded at noon, and the place was already full. People either took their own lunch boxes home to eat or waited for an empty seat to become available.

The two stood at the door waiting, their eyes constantly drifting inside.

Secretary Guo recognized the two figures from behind, but couldn't quite place them in his mind. Just as he was curiously trying to see their faces, the two were also anxiously waiting for an empty seat.

In an instant, three pairs of eyes converged.

Upon seeing the two men's faces, Secretary Guo frowned.

How did they end up together?

He wasn't a grumpy old man; it was normal for people from the same village to come out to buy things. But then he remembered Li Xiuxiu's words: "A couple." These two were clearly cousins.

Yang Huaiyuan subconsciously gave Zhou Wenwen a push.

Zhou Wenwen didn't have time to stand properly and subconsciously took a step back. There were people queuing behind her, and she stepped on someone's foot. That person was irritable and yelled when his foot was stepped on, then suddenly shoved Zhou Wenwen a lot.

Yang Huaiyuan could have grabbed Zhou Wenwen, but when Secretary Guo's gaze lingered on him, his outstretched hand seemed to be on fire, and he suddenly withdrew it just as he was about to touch Zhou Wenwen.

Clang.

Zhou Wenwen landed headfirst on the glass door, which shattered instantly, sending pieces flying into the air. People eating near the door scrambled to avoid it, but some were still injured by the broken glass.
