Chapter 266 Zhang Dongfeng 2

Zhang Dongfeng stamped his foot. It would be too disloyal to leave now. If this doctor went out and talked nonsense, he would lose face. He had no choice but to bite the bullet and take out a mask from the box, put on gloves as well, and help the doctor help the person back into the house.

Upon entering the house, the situation was even more dire than they had anticipated; each of the four family members was in a worse state than the last.

The doctors didn't have enough IV drips, so they could only give each person half a drip to keep them afloat.

Zhang Dongfeng felt like he had the worst luck imaginable. He regretted not helping with this. Now he was stuck, unable to leave or stay. The room reeked of an unpleasant odor that his mask couldn't hide at all.

The doctor shared the same thought; he had no idea the patient's condition would be so serious. If he recovered, it was due to his superior medical skills; if he hadn't, it would have meant four lives.

With their own thoughts in mind, the two worked for several hours until the vital signs of the four people were stabilized.

The doctor breathed a sigh of relief and ran outside for some fresh air. It was already broad daylight, the sun high in the sky. He threw away his gloves first, then took off his mask.

"The stench is killing me," Zhang Dongfeng said as he walked from behind to the front of the doctor.

Doctor: "In all my years as a doctor, this is the first time I've seen diarrhea this severe. What did this family eat?"

I specifically went to the kitchen to check, and there was only a little bit of mixed grain porridge left in the bowl; I didn't see anything else.

Zhang Dongfeng: "Who knows what they ate that exhausted us so much."

Dr. Lin, let me tell you, you can't reduce the consultation fee; you have to collect my share as well.

"After being exposed to the fumes all night, I can't eat anything today."

"Don't talk about you, I'm the same. When have I ever suffered like this?" Dr. Lin sighed after saying that.

Zhang Dongfeng felt it was time to leave, and after catching his breath, he said...

"Dr. Lin, can I go back now?"

Dr. Lin shook his head: "You can't go back now. I have to go back and get some medicine. They need to have another IV drip tonight."

They're only alive thanks to you. If you hadn't come to me, given their current symptoms, even if they had been in the hospital for another day, they wouldn't have survived.

Zhang Dongfeng's smile turned into a bitter face: "I don't want to stay here. I've been busy all night, and I want to go back to sleep."

"I haven't even had a chance to sleep, so what are you sleeping for?" Dr. Lin retorted, though he was also seething with anger, but he just couldn't let it show.

Poor Zhang Dongfeng was left behind, while Dr. Lin left with his medicine kit, walking very quickly and disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Zhang Dongfeng had no choice but to put his mask back on. He went back inside to check on them, and his complexion had improved considerably. He silently recited in his heart that saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda, and he had saved four lives!

...

Qiao Xiaoni was unaware of what was happening here; she and Su Chenhao had returned to the furniture factory.

Bai Cheng warmly received them, exchanged pleasantries, and then led them to the warehouse where the finished furniture was arranged.

The moment Qiao Xiaoni saw the furniture again, she fell in love with it. The furniture set was exactly the same as she had imagined. When she was ordering the furniture, she had just casually mentioned that she liked the ancient style, but she never expected that Bai Cheng would actually make it.

Looking at the luxurious bed, she couldn't wait to sit down. The headboard was carved with dragons and phoenixes, symbolizing good fortune.
