The driver then walked over and said, "You're too young. He didn't steal anything from you. Just pretend you didn't see anything."
"If he criticizes you in front of so many people, he might go back and find someone to take revenge on you."
Su Chenhao sensed something was amiss in the driver's words, so he pulled him aside to inquire. Only then did he learn that the thieves on the bus were not simple; they committed crimes like this frequently, and the driver could only turn a blind eye.
If they meddle in other people's business, either the person or the car will suffer. If the person gets beaten up, they'll be bedridden for at least half a month. If the car suffers, things get much worse; either the tires will go flat or things will be stolen from the car. Eventually, they'll shut up.
"Thank you for your kindness in telling me about this," Su Chenhao said, feeling a little regretful that he hadn't taken the person to the police station earlier.
