Before Qiao Xiaoshan could even speak as he arrived at the kitchen, a plate was placed in front of him containing steaming hot vegetable pancakes. They looked so tempting, fresh out of the pan, that his mouth watered. He reached out to grab one, but his hand was slapped, and he immediately looked aggrieved, his face turning into a bitter expression.
"Hey girl, why did you hit me?"
“This isn’t for you to eat, take it inside and give it to him. I’ve already taken your vegetable pancake out, it’s drying over there! You can come out and get it later.”
"Okay, I understand. I'll be right back." Qiao Xiaoshan carried the vegetable pancakes back to the house.
Qiao Xiaoni looked at the freshly made vegetable pancakes. He should like them, right?
Su Chenhao looked at the vegetable pancakes on the plate. They weren't very big, smaller than ordinary pancakes, round and cute. A tempting aroma wafted from them. These days, people are always hungry, and their stomachs start growling soon after eating, let alone after riding such a long bicycle.
Qiao Xiaoshan: "Hurry up and eat! The freshly made vegetable pancakes are so delicious. I'll go get my vegetable pancakes."
Su Chenhao took the plate, lowered his head, and took a small bite. The pancake was still very hot from the pan, but the filling tasted quite good. No wonder it sold so quickly yesterday. It was very oily; even if the taste wasn't great, people would still buy it because people are short of oil these days. The vegetables they usually eat are almost boiled; only families with better conditions can afford to use more oil when stir-frying.
Qiao Xiaoshan returned quickly, carrying a plate in his hand, a bowl of freshly made garlic sauce in his right hand, and two pairs of chopsticks in his mouth.
Su Chenhao first took the chopsticks off and gave him a pair, then kept a pair for himself.
"Vegetable pancakes with garlic sauce are delicious, the taste is absolutely amazing."
Su Chenhao never refused any delicious food and had breakfast with Qiao Xiaoshan in the house.
When they had almost finished eating, Qiao Dashan joined the fray, also holding a vegetable pancake in his hand.
The three men finished their breakfast chatting and laughing.
Qiao Dashan went to work a short-term job, and although he really wanted to go to town with him, he couldn't because of his work commitments.
Su Chenhao also arrived by bicycle, so now there are two bicycles.
I steamed a lot of vegetable pancakes today, filling a whole basket. Now the problem is, if Qiao Xiaoni is holding the basket and sitting behind me, she could easily fall off.
Su Chenhao glanced at the basket and then said to Qiao Xiaoshan, "Your sister is sitting in the back of my car. You're in charge of transporting the vegetable pancakes. Ride slowly and don't tip them over and break them."
Qiao Xiaoshan touched his head and nodded in agreement. He secured the basket to the back of the bicycle with a rope, then climbed on and slowly started riding, careful not to accidentally damage the vegetable pancakes inside the basket.
After watching him ride away, Qiao Xiaoni turned her head and gestured to Su Chenhao with her eyes, urging him to get on his bicycle quickly.
Su Chenhao subconsciously touched his nose. This was the first time he had given a girl a ride while riding his bike for so long. Since she wasn't shy, he wasn't embarrassed at all.
I got on the bicycle and put my right leg on the ground. I felt a weight behind me, and then my clothes were pulled at the lower back.
"We can go now," Qiao Xiaoni whispered.
Then he waved to his parents who were standing at the door: "Go back inside and rest, I'll be back soon."
