"Luckily I went early, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get hot water. On the way back, I saw many people carrying thermoses to get hot water." Su Chenhao put the thermos on the table, then took off his shirt and sat on the berth.
Qiao Xiaoni took out cups and poured a glass of water for each person. The train swayed slightly, indicating that it was about to depart.
"You're so smart, otherwise I don't know when we'd be able to get hot water."
"There's still an hour until the next stop. If you're tired, lie down and rest for a while. I'll keep an eye on things." After saying that, Su Chenhao picked up the newspaper on the table and sat down to read it.
Qiao Xiaoni didn't read the newspaper. Instead, she took out an apple, peeled it with a knife, and started eating.
I chatted with him every now and then, and before I knew it, it was getting dark. No one came to stay in the sleeper berth upstairs.
Su Chenhao put down the newspaper in his hand: "I'll go get another kettle of hot water to heat up the dumplings, then we can have dinner."
Qiao Xiaoni handed him the thermos, and after he left, she stood up and stretched. She had been on the train all afternoon, and would arrive in Kyushu City by this time tomorrow. She still had to endure more than ten hours of travel; just thinking about it made her feel exhausted.
Everyone should be tidying up the shop by now. I wonder how the sales were today?
Su Chenhao quickly returned with a kettle of hot water, poured it into the lunchbox, and changed the water twice. The dumplings were finally heated up.
The two sat down to eat dumplings, while looking out the window at the scenery.
"Finally found it."
A girl's voice came from behind. Qiao Xiaoni turned around and saw a young girl carrying a suitcase. Her hair was long and flowing, and she wore light makeup. She had delicate features and her eyes were fixed on the upper bunk as she walked over.
"Is this the place?" A man's voice came from the other side, followed by a rustling sound. The man quickly appeared in front of them. He was a young man wearing glasses, a little over 1.7 meters tall, wearing a black trench coat, and of average appearance.
Zhou Meiling pointed to the upper bunk: "This should be our spot. Can't you see there's no one up there?"
Sun Jie: "Then this should be the place." He put down his suitcase and only then noticed a man and a woman sitting on the lower bunk, both of whom were exceptionally good-looking.
The man possessed an indescribable aura that made one afraid to look at him a second time.
The woman was very beautiful, especially her eyes. I had never seen such beautiful eyes before; they were bright and intelligent.
Zhou Meiling decided to go up and say hello: "Hello!"
"Hello!" Qiao Xiaoni led the response.
Zhou Meiling glanced down and saw the dumplings: "You actually brought dumplings! They look so delicious!"
Qiao Xiaoni thought the girl in front of her had a straightforward personality: "I made these dumplings this morning, would you like to try some?"
"Really? Can I try some?" Zhou Meiling sat down on the berth, took the lunchbox lid that was handed to her, lowered her head and ate a dumpling, her face full of happiness as if she had tasted a delicacy.
Qiao Xiaoni gave her four dumplings, and seeing that she ate them all in the blink of an eye, she used her chopsticks to put two more on her plate.
Su Chenhao poured all the dumplings from his lunchbox into another lunchbox: "Wife, don't worry about her, eat them while they're hot."
Qiao Xiaoni used her chopsticks to pick up the food back: "I've almost finished eating. I'll be full after two more. You can have the rest."
"Okay," Su Chenhao replied.
