She was going out to save someone who was about to be crippled after being hit by a car.
That man's name is Gu Anyi. He's just a petty hoodlum who spends his days idly stealing chickens and doing other petty things.
This man was very shrewd; the old man's vast fortune was largely thanks to him. Because of the life-saving grace, he was utterly devoted, even after being dismissed by the old man. He didn't retaliate, but instead started anew and quickly rose again.
She now has memories of her past life. As long as she saves this person, she can use what she knows in advance to cooperate with him and make money.
Su Chenhao is probably still making a little money in the countryside right now, so meeting him now wouldn't bring any significant benefits. The most important thing right now is to make money.
It's still several years before he reunites with the Fu family! The matter of cultivating feelings can wait. Because, as far as she knows, Su Chenhao had never been involved with any woman in his previous life.
Gu Anyi had the accident in the last few days. Her memory was hazy; she only knew that she was hit by a car on Xidamen Road, but she wasn't sure of the exact time.
She thought she could go out and try her luck; if she happened to run into someone, wouldn't that become her opportunity?
Qiao Xiaoni and Su Chenhao went home, heated up some steamed buns, ate lunch, rested for a bit, and then started preparing to sell barbecue that evening.
She watched them work quietly for a while, then went back to her room to sleep. She hadn't been asleep for long when she was woken up. Su Chenhao carried her to the table, where she saw a large basin filled with meat.
Confused and unsure of what to do, they stared blankly at them.
Qiao Xiaoni took out a skewer and threaded the meat onto it: "Did you see that clearly?"
He nodded silently: "What are you trying to do?"
Su Chenhao put him down: "Didn't you promise to do some work for me yesterday? Skewer all this meat, that shouldn't be too difficult for you, right?"
Mo Mo looked completely bewildered at the meat in the basin, realizing he was being reduced to doing this kind of work.
"What are you looking at? Get back into human form and get to work."
Momo didn't do as instructed, but instead waved her paw at the basin, and then a magical scene unfolded.
The meat in the bowl disappeared, all of it skewered and neatly arranged on the table.
The biggest problem was solved in the blink of an eye, leaving Qiao Xiaoni astonished: "How did you do that?"
"I only used a little magic power, but I didn't expect you to make me do this." Momo felt very melancholy. It was a dignified white tiger divine beast, but it had become a skewer maker.
Su Chenhao was very satisfied with the result: "It seems that this job will be yours from now on, and we won't need to hire anyone else to do it."
Qiao Xiaoni laughed and said, "I was worried that he wouldn't be able to do it well. I didn't expect him to finish it so easily. If we had known it would be like this, why would we have bothered cutting the meat?"
"Just let him do everything. I only need to prepare the seasonings, and you can take care of grilling and selling it on the street."
“Yes, you’re right. From now on, we’ll let him do the meat-cutting work too,” Su Chenhao agreed.
He silently rolled his eyes, ignored them, and went back to his room to sleep. So much time had passed, and His Highness's memory still hadn't returned. He needed to get some sleep and think of a solution; he couldn't let things continue like this.
How could a dignified chief deity of the spirit world do such things?
With the biggest problem solved, Su Chenhao and Qiao Xiaoni moved all the tools downstairs, just like yesterday. The spot was clearly not very popular yesterday, so they decided to go to the area under the tree roots at the intersection.
