The new students haven't received their school uniforms yet. After paying tuition and providing their sizes, they'll have to wait a while before they get them. So, anyone not wearing a school uniform is basically a new student.
Qiao Xiaoni went up the stairs in a cheerful mood, feeling like she was a college student again. This time she could enjoy life and no longer have to live such a tiring life.
Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps came from the stairwell, and a boy rushed down the stairs.
"Make way."
She quickly stepped aside to make room for him, and watched as he rushed downstairs in one breath.
Not knowing what had happened, she continued upstairs. Just as she reached the second floor, she saw a group of people gathered together. Unable to resist, she went over to take a look.
Through the crack, I saw a girl lying on the ground, her face pale and covered in sweat.
The situation was clearly dire; people around were pointing and whispering but not offering help, instead squeezing through the gaps. She crouched down and touched the girl's head, finding it rather cold. Then she noticed something: blood was seeping from her pants onto the floor.
"Excuse me, can you still speak?"
Lu Mingyue shook her head. She felt a terrible pain in her stomach, as if her internal organs were being squeezed together.
Qiao Xiaoni stood up and said to everyone, "Don't block her way. She's not feeling well. We need to let the air circulate. With so many people gathered around, she can't breathe."
People around took a small step back, perhaps because class was about to start, and some of them went back to the classroom.
Qiao Xiaoni squatted down again: "Do you have the strength to stand up? You can't go to the infirmary like this."
Lu Mingyue leaned against the wall: "I don't want to go to the infirmary, I want to go home."
“You can’t go home like this. Listen to me and go to the infirmary.” Qiao Xiaoni stepped forward to help him up.
Lu Mingyue was very grateful for the sudden appearance of her junior, but considering her condition, she couldn't go to the infirmary.
"I'll just go home. You can drop me off at the door and I'll take a taxi home."
"Then I'll help you downstairs first." Seeing her insistence, Qiao Xiaoni had no choice but to compromise.
Lu Mingyue could only take two steps before she felt unsteady on her feet.
Upon seeing this, Qiao Xiaoni did something astonishing: she picked the person up and quickly carried them down the stairs.
This startled the people around, as it was the first time they had ever seen a girl hug another girl.
How much strength does that require?
Qiao Xiaoni felt that her condition was not good, so after coming downstairs, she quickly walked towards the infirmary.
"I don't want to go to the infirmary, just take me to the door, girl," Lu Mingyue said with difficulty.
"Are you stupid! With your current symptoms, you'll die on the road before you even get home. Do you want your family to worry about you?" Qiao Xiaoni shouted, then hugged him tightly to make sure he wouldn't fall.
If she suddenly hugs someone, she doesn't know how to hug them properly.
They quickly arrived at the infirmary and put the person to bed.
The on-duty doctor, Tao, was startled: "What's going on?"
"Doctor, could you check if she has irregular menstruation?" Qiao Xiaoni said, taking a deep breath. She had checked her earlier when she went downstairs, and the woman wasn't pregnant; she probably had menstrual cramps.
Suddenly, the thought of my long-awaited period popped into my head, and I felt a slight pain in my abdomen, a bad feeling creeping in. "It's been so long since my period; will she be in excruciating pain?"
After examining her, Dr. Tao said, "It's definitely menstrual cramps. This child is really good at enduring pain; her face is so pale."
