Chapter 467 Making Money

By the end of the night, most of the prepared items had been sold, including more than 20 bottles of beer.

The shop owner was overjoyed. After collecting the bottles, he gave away two cases of beer, saying there was no deposit required and he could pay by the number of bottles when returning the cases.

You know, normally you can only sell a case of beer during holidays like Chinese New Year or when someone has a wedding. Otherwise, what grown man would be willing to spend that kind of money?

Now that there are barbecue restaurants, things are different. The food smells so good that he ate all ten skewers that were given away for free.

I thought to myself, no wonder their business is so good, they really have the skills.

They stopped taking orders at 9:30. Su Chenhao hung a "Closed" sign on the door and waited for the customers inside to finish eating before closing the door.

Gu Anyi's hands were constantly busy, and when he suddenly had some free time, he felt a little out of sorts.

Qiao Xiaoni made a late-night snack at the store so she could wash her face and go to sleep when she got home.

I didn't do anything special, I just cooked a pot of noodles and chopped up all the leftover braised beef.

There were only a few skewers left, and since there was no need to take them out, we just put them on the grill for a bit.

After the last table of guests left, they sat down to eat dinner.

While eating, Gu Anyi excitedly said, "We really had a lucky day today, with so many guests coming to eat all at once."

Su Chenhao opened a bottle of beer and poured a glass for each of them: "Today's customers are nothing; there will be more and more customers in the future. Be quick when you're working, so the customers won't keep rushing you."

"Okay, I'll definitely get it done faster tomorrow night." Gu Anyi wasn't unhappy at all; he was happy because the shop was doing well.

These past few days, I've paid off most of my debts, except for the money owed to Guo Chenpi. The ones I haven't paid off are because I wasn't home. It feels so good to have such a big weight lifted off my shoulders.

He originally thought these debts would weigh on him for several years, and he felt embarrassed every time he saw them. Now, he can finally walk with his back straight.

Qiao Xiaoni glanced at the kitchen. It was inconvenient to carry soup back and forth, so she decided to make a pot of soup during the day instead.

"An Yi, do you know how to use this gas stove?"

"Yes, I know how! My family has always used a gas stove, and I've known how to use it since I was a child. Why are you asking this, sister-in-law?"

"I plan to have you cook a pot of soup during the day so it will be useful for selling beef noodles at night."

What do you think? Can you do the job well?

How long does it take to simmer a pot of soup? Is two hours enough?

"Yes, that's enough. There's no need to cook it for too long. The key to making delicious noodles is the broth."

"Two hours is no problem, I can keep an eye on things."

"Then we'll go to the market tomorrow to buy bones and bring them over. I'll tell you what seasonings to use, so you can remember them."

"Okay!" Gu Anyi readily agreed. Although the shop belonged to them, in his heart it was no different from his own.

Su Chenhao: "You better work hard, kid. If business is good, I'll give you a bonus at the end of the month. It might even be more than your salary."

"Okay!" Gu Anyi readily agreed. He believed that the store's business would get better and better, and with money, he could take good care of his father.

The old man has been in a much better mood these past two days and has been cooperating well with taking his medication.

The doctor said that if I can maintain this mindset, a miracle might happen and I might live a few more months.

Gu Anyi cheered himself up, determined to work hard and earn more money to support his father.

After finishing their lively late-night snack, Su Chenhao and Qiao Xiaoni hopped home on their tricycle. Gu Anyi took care of cleaning up, so they didn't have to worry about it.
