Su Chenhao: "Just stew the whole pig leg."
"Hmm." Qiao Xiaoni turned around and took the pig leg out of the basket. She had cleaned the pig leg while cleaning the pig's head, made a few cuts on it with a cleaver, and threw it in after opening the pot lid.
Su Chenhao turned around and went back to the courtyard to continue his work.
Tao Chunfang saw such a large pig leg being thrown in and exclaimed, "Our family is celebrating the New Year today, with so much meat!"
"Wait a minute, we didn't eat this much meat even during Chinese New Year!"
"Sister-in-law, could you turn on the stove for me? I'm going to the backyard to pick some vegetables. We're going to have a big meal tonight."
Tao Chunfang nodded excitedly. She had been squatting in the field all morning and was completely exhausted. But when she heard that her family had bought a lot of meat, and saw that there was indeed a lot of meat when she got back, she was instantly energized, like she had been injected with chicken blood, and had inexhaustible energy to work.
Qiao Manli was originally very sleepy, but now she sat obediently on the stool waiting for the meat to be cooked. She glanced at her well-behaved daughter and thought, "These days are so good!"
When Qiao Xiaoni stepped out of the room, she glanced at the yard. The basic shape of the car was already complete, except for the joints. She couldn't help but admire Su Chenhao; he was truly intelligent. She had only given him a simple instruction, and he had already made it.
I originally thought the car would take several days to make, but now it seems it will only take about another day.
So tomorrow morning, after selling the pig's head meat and vegetable pancakes, I can use the money to buy flour and oil, and the next day I can go to the market to fry dough sticks to sell.
The thought of earning a lot of money brought a bright smile to Qiao Xiaoni's face. With money, she could improve everything at home, and she didn't want to work so hard anymore.
But as the old saying goes, "No pain, no gain." Given her current circumstances, she can only make her first fortune through food.
The dogs outside were barking wildly, and the village dogs, with their keen sense of smell, had already gathered at the doorway.
When Qiao Xiaoni went outside, she was surprised to see four or five dogs. It seemed that all the dogs in the village had come, barking incessantly around the door. She was a little afraid of dogs and wanted to go out.
Growing up, she was fearless except for two things: dogs and snakes. She would stand at the door, too afraid to go out.
Then a stone flew from behind and hit one of the dogs. She turned around and saw Su Chenhao. Immediately afterwards, he threw a second stone.
The dog at the gate, because of the stone that had moved away from the gate, did not go far, but ran to a place four or five meters away to wait.
Su Chenhao yelled at the dog, "Get lost!"
The voice was loud and majestic. The dog spun around in place and then scattered and ran away, as if something was chasing it.
Qiao Xiaoni: "You're really something, you actually scared the dog away like that."
"If we don't leave soon, I'm going to catch them and stew them like dog meat," Su Chenhao replied with a smile.
Qiao Xiaoni shook the basket in her hand: "I'm going to the backyard to pick some vegetables. Come with me, just in case those dogs come back!"
"I'll go with you." Su Chenhao patted the dust off his thighs; he had been squatting on the ground for a while, so his pants inevitably got some dust on them.
Qiao Xiaoni opened the gate and walked towards the backyard. The pig's head would need to be stewed for several hours until it was tender. She went to the backyard to find some greens. After the pig's head was cooked, she would put some greens into the broth. She could then share it with the neighbors. If everyone shared the meat, there wouldn't be much left of the meat she bought today.
