Chapter 505 Cheating 2

Qiao Xiaoni stretched, and her stomach didn't hurt as much as before. It hurt every now and then, but she could bear it.

She got out of bed, put on her shoes, went to the bathroom to wash her face, and then returned to her room to choose clothes. Li Meihua had specially made her a new cotton-padded jacket, a pink one with small floral patterns. She had mentioned wanting a long one, so the jacket was a little long.

The clothes I was wearing just covered my bottom. I took out my thermal pants and put them inside my pants, and I felt warm all over again.

It was almost time. Going to school now would allow me to talk to Zhou Meiling for a while. I checked my bag again to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything. Then I slung it over my shoulder and headed out.

Su Chenhao heard the sound and looked outside. He saw her coming out with her bag on her back, clearly on her way to school.

"Why didn't you lie down a little longer? Isn't it too early to go now?"

Qiao Xiaoni went to the door to change her shoes: "Isn't it an exam today? It's better to go early."

Su Chenhao put down what he was doing and came over: "If you're not feeling well, go home early. Don't push yourself."

"Okay, I got it. Stop nagging, my ears are practically calloused." Qiao Xiaoni said, then lifted her foot and kissed his forehead before opening the door and leaving.

Su Chenhao touched his forehead, which still retained some warmth, and looked at the closed door. He smiled faintly, then turned and went back to the kitchen to continue his work.

After Qiao Xiaoni went downstairs, she put on her scarf. It was much colder outside than yesterday. Looking at the dark clouds in the sky, it might rain today.

The winter solstice is just five days away, and autumn will have completely departed.

When I arrived at school, I saw that everyone had changed into thick clothes. Even those living in the dormitory were wearing thick cotton-padded coats.

When I got to the stairs, I ran into Lu Mingyue. She looked much better and was wearing a military overcoat.

"What a coincidence!" Lu Mingyue spoke first.

"You look much better, and you've gained weight," Qiao Xiaoni replied with a smile.

Lu Mingyue brushed a stray hair behind her ear: "I saw a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, and he prescribed some Chinese medicine for me. After taking it, I can eat more than before, so I've gained weight."

Am I obviously fat?

"Yeah, your face used to be too thin and didn't look good. Now it's just right." Qiao Xiaoni likes to speak the truth; right is right and wrong is wrong.

Lu Mingyue touched her face: "I am indeed a bit fatter than before. I like being a little chubby, so that a gust of wind won't blow me away."

"It's a bit of a stretch to say it was blown away by the wind. Being a little chubby will give you a stronger immune system. Even if you get sick in the future, it will only be a minor illness and you'll recover quickly."

"Yes, that's what the old Chinese medicine doctor told me too. He said I'm too thin and should eat more."

"Traditional Chinese medicine is profound and extensive. There are some diseases that Western medicine cannot cure but traditional Chinese medicine can."

"I didn't know much about Traditional Chinese Medicine before, but I've learned a lot through this experience. I heard you had your exam today; are you confident?"

"Pretty much! I also came today, but the timing was bad, which will definitely affect my performance."

Whatever the result, it's just an entrance exam.

Lu Mingyue pulled her aside and carefully instructed her, "You can't say that. The school is quite strict about the entrance exam. You need to show your best results to the teachers, which will definitely benefit you in the future."

As for your stomach discomfort, if it's really unbearable, go to the infirmary and get two painkillers. After taking them, the stomach pain will subside. Make sure you do well on your exam.
