Just as they were about to leave the stall with their goods, a commotion arose from the stall next door.
"Young lady, you bought these pants two weeks ago, and now you're bringing them back saying they don't fit? Do you think I'm stupid?" The saleswoman spoke loudly enough to be heard clearly from seven or eight meters away.
They couldn't help but turn around and look, and to their surprise, they saw Liu Yanjiao.
The vendor at the next stall gave them a sidelong glance, and Qiao Xiaoni, disliking her, didn't buy any pants from her stall. Then, they suddenly bought so many pairs of pants.
I came over and took a look at it twice in the middle of the trip, and I just pursed my lips and didn't say anything.
Zhou Meiling: "I never expected to run into her. This person is like a persistent ghost. After doing such a shameful thing, she still has the nerve to go out."

At this point, their argument escalated. The saleswoman lifted Liu Yanjiao's cotton coat.
"You said you couldn't fit into your clothes anymore, and then your belly grew so big. Could you be pregnant?" The voice rose again.
Liu Yanjiao covered her stomach with her right hand and closed her clothes with her left: "Why are you lifting my clothes? I'm still an unmarried girl! What gives you the right to say that?"
These pants weren't a perfect fit when I bought them. You said that if I felt they weren't right, I could return them for a refund or exchange as long as the tags were still on.
"I've been buying pants from you for a long time; almost half of the pants in my house are from you, and now you're saying this to me."
"You little liar, do you think I can't tell if you're pregnant or not? Last time you came to try on pants, I felt something was off about your belly, and this time it's obviously much bigger."
"You're at least three months pregnant. I have many sisters in my family; if I couldn't tell, I'd have lived this long in vain." After saying that, he looked at the onlookers.
Seeing the two girls who weren't buying his clothes, he had another idea. He walked over to them and said to the people next to him, "If you don't believe me, take a look at these two girls. What are their figures like? What are those girls' figures like? You'll understand what's going on after just one look."
Qiao Xiaoni didn't expect that watching the commotion would cause trouble, so she quickly pulled Zhou Meiling away, not wanting to argue with the saleswoman.

When Liu Yanjiao saw Zhou Meiling again, she froze, wondering why they had to witness such bad luck. She quickly closed the clothes and tried to turn and leave, but then she heard the saleswoman say a bunch of unpleasant things. She stopped herself in her tracks.
"My belly is just from eating a lot lately, not from being pregnant like she said." She explained to the people around her, not wanting to be pointed at and gossiped about.
Qiao Xiaoni hadn't wanted to cause trouble, but hearing the woman's veiled insults and harsh words, she stopped in her tracks. She turned around, pulled Zhou Meiling back, and walked up to her.
"Ma'am, your argument with others is none of our business, right? Why are you saying such nasty things to us? This is disrespectful to elders and slanders the facts."
The saleswoman, hands on her hips, said, "You little brat, how can you talk like that?"
