Chapter 629 Meeting the Parents 3

Song Mingyuan put his arm around Zhou Meiling and continued walking towards the door.

"The dog is already ten years old, hard to believe, right? It was with me when I was just a child."

“No wonder it’s so intelligent; I saw pride in its eyes.” Zhou Meiling said, glancing sideways at the doghouse again. It had already sat down quietly, no longer as fierce as before.

"Yes, you're not mistaken, its eyes are full of pride. It's been narcissistic since it was a child!" Song Mingyuan said, and then stopped talking.

The door opened, and my mother, Zhao Susu, came out, wearing a new outfit and with some makeup on. I hadn't seen her wear makeup for many years, and I suddenly realized that my mother hadn't changed at all; she was still as beautiful as ever.

Looking at the two children who were completely dumbfounded, Zhao Susu smiled faintly and said, "It's so cold outside! Why don't you come in quickly?"

Zhou Meiling looked at the woman in front of her and thought she looked very young and beautiful, probably in her early thirties.

"aunt?"

I shouted it out subconsciously.

The mother and son were stunned for a moment, then they both laughed.

Zhao Susu was surprised that her son had found such a beautiful girlfriend, and her voice was also quite pleasant.

"I'm not his aunt, I'm his mother. Please call me 'Auntie'!"

I thought to myself, this girl is so honest, I hope she doesn't call me "Mom" right now. Should I answer her or not?

She didn't object to her son getting married early. The main reason was her son's aunt, who had always loved studying and was very competitive. This resulted in no man being worthy of her, at least not in her eyes.

I've been dragging this out from youth to middle age without finding a suitable partner. It's early for my son to be dating, but it's better than worrying about him later.

So, she wanted to see what the girl looked like. If she was a good girl, she'd settle down as soon as possible and get married after graduating from university. Ideally, she'd have another child within a year, then she could become a grandmother.

"Auntie!" Zhou Meiling finally managed to call out, realizing how impulsive she had been. Why had she blurted it out so suddenly? The woman in front of her was so young! She didn't look like Song Mingyuan's mother at all; she looked more like his aunt.

Back home, Song Mingyuan didn't want to pretend anymore. He loosened the buttons on his collar and asked, "Mom, is their dad inside?"

“I’m here! Your dad and aunt are playing chess! I heard the dog barking outside, so I came out to check and found it was you.” Zhao Susu explained and turned back into the house.

Song Mingyuan pulled Zhou Meiling back into the house, stopping at the door to change into slippers.

Zhou Meiling looked at the matching slippers on the floor and quickly changed into them. Only after changing did she realize that their slippers were identical, except that hers were a little newer.

Song Mingyuan: "Are the shoes the right size? If they're too big, there are some new slippers in the closet, I'll get you another pair."

"No need, the size is just right." Zhou Meiling looked down the hallway and saw the living room. It was so big and beautiful, and the furniture was in a European and American style.

"That's good. These shoes are yours from now on." Song Mingyuan said softly, "Don't underestimate these ordinary shoes. My mother made them herself. Once you wear these shoes, you'll be my daughter-in-law."

"Don't even think about running away this lifetime. You're a member of the Song family."

"You're being cheeky again!" Zhou Meiling noticed that he had become a bit of a scoundrel since he got home. Could this be the duality that Xiao Ni was talking about?

Men need women to guide them and help them take the initiative from the start so they won't suffer losses later.
