dormitory.
When Fu Ru saw that Zhou Meiling hadn't come back all night, she had an idea and decided to report the matter to her aunt so that she could tell the teacher.
As the dormitory head, she naturally had the right to make good use of it.
So early in the morning, she went downstairs to wait for the dormitory manager to come to work. Coincidentally, she ran into the dormitory manager from the next building. After chatting for a while, she learned that the manager was delivering a message for Zhou Meiling.
“Auntie, she’s my roommate. I’ll just tell Aunt Liu. You can go back and do your other things!” Fu Ru said tentatively, and seeing her expression soften, she knew she had made the right bet.
"Then please tell her for me that I have to go back and get busy. That young girl begged me for so long on the phone, which is why I got up early to come and tell her." Aunt Wang finished speaking and turned to leave hurriedly. She could rest a little longer back home now. She didn't think much of it; how could she have imagined someone would lie to her?
After Fu Ru had tricked the person away, she was very happy that her plan had succeeded in one step. Soon, the administrator, Aunt Liu, arrived.
"Auntie, I have something to report to you."
Aunt Liu didn't sleep well last night, and her period started early this morning, so she's in a bad mood.
"Is something broken again? Didn't I tell you to report every Monday? It's no use telling me now, where am I supposed to find someone to fix it?"
Fu Ru followed her into the house: "Auntie, I didn't come here to report on fixing things."
Aunt Liu picked up the thermos on the table, poured herself a glass of water, drank it, and felt much better. Then she sat down.
"Speak!"
“One of the girls in my dorm didn’t come back last night and didn’t tell us. I came over to ask if she had told you.”
"Who? What's that girl's name?" Aunt Liu was a cautious person, and hearing that the girl hadn't come home all night, many things started to pop into her mind. Especially since there had been a scandal at the school recently—a second-year student was pregnant out of wedlock, and the news had spread like wildfire.
Fortunately, the students didn't live in the dorms, otherwise this incident would definitely have implicated them. Today's college students have broader horizons and act without considering the consequences, which made her wary.
“Zhou Meiling is a student who just enrolled this year. You should remember her. I contacted you about her before.” Fu Ru spoke with a calm expression, not like she was complaining.
"Oh, it's this little girl. I vaguely remember her. She looks pretty and gentle, yet she stayed out all night."
"Tell me everything you know about her." Aunt Liu pressed further, wanting to confirm before reporting back to the teacher, since she couldn't wrongly accuse someone!
"I feel like she's dating someone. Last week she went out and bought a lot of clothes, and then she was out all day. She didn't go back to the dorm until it was almost dark. It was the same yesterday."
I'm worried that she's so young, what if she gets scammed by bad people?
"Yes! You're absolutely right. Young girls are indeed easily deceived. I've told them this so many times. But no one listens. What's the use of crying to me after something happens?" Aunt Liu, having seen many such cases, knows that a woman's foolishness usually peaks in her teens. It's only after she's in her twenties and understands what she did wrong.
"Auntie, I've told you so much, so please don't sell me off later. I don't want to have any more conflicts with her," Fu Ru finally stated her request.
