Chapter 665 Liu Shufang

Zhou Meiling felt she should stay and help, even if it was just cooking. The dorm auntie had already called yesterday, so that was a good start. She told Song Mingyuan her idea and received his support.

In the afternoon, Song Mingyuan went to the hospital to check on his aunt's condition. After they left, she cooperated well with the treatment and there were no conflicts. He went home and told his parents about it. They were relieved and could finally relax.

Monday morning arrived in the blink of an eye.

Zhou Meiling's schoolbag was still in the dormitory, so she had to go back early. This meant she wouldn't have time for breakfast, and it would take at least half an hour to get back to school from here.

Zhao Susu was worried that they would go hungry, so she specially made some steamed buns for them to take with them.

Sitting in a taxi.

Zhou Meiling touched the steamed buns in the bag; they were warm, just like her heart.

Song Mingyuan glanced at his watch and realized he was running out of time: "Driver, could you please hurry? We're in a rush to get back to school."

"Okay, I'll speed up a bit more. I shouldn't be late." The driver stepped on the gas.

“My boyfriend needs to go back to his dorm to get his backpack, so he has to go a little earlier,” Song Mingyuan explained.

"Oh, I see! You're quite something, young man, already have a girlfriend at such a young age." The driver said with a smile.

Zhou Meiling blushed deeply and lowered her head even further.

Upon arriving at the school, Song Mingyuan quickly got out of the car, opened the car door, and let Zhou Meiling out.

"There's still time. You don't need to run too fast. I'll wait for you in the classroom."

"Hmm." Zhou Meiling looked around and saw that students had already arrived for class. She lowered her head and ran towards the dormitory.

Song Mingyuan smiled helplessly, then took out his wallet from his pocket, took out three yuan and handed it to the driver.

The driver borrowed some money, gave him two cents in change, and said, "Your daughter is so young and she's already spending the night with you. You have to take responsibility for her."

"Yes, she will be my wife from now on," Song Mingyuan replied solemnly.

The driver saw determination in his eyes and found it quite interesting. Seeing someone waving for a ride ahead, he stepped on the gas and drove off.

Song Mingyuan picked up his schoolbag and strode into the school; he had never arrived at school this early before.

Zhou Meiling ran back to her dormitory but was stopped by the dormitory manager, Aunt Liu, before she could even go upstairs. Aunt Liu blocked her way right at the main entrance.

"Auntie, something came up yesterday, so I didn't call you."

"You called me yesterday because you had something to do, but you didn't call me back, and you didn't call me the day before either! You're a young woman, and you haven't come home for two nights in a row. Tell me, what exactly have you been doing?" Liu Shufang kept nagging. She had gone to check on the patients yesterday and saw that Zhou Meiling hadn't returned yet, which made her even angrier.

"I told the dorm supervisor next door! I couldn't get through to her the night before last, so I had to call her instead," Zhou Meiling quickly explained, feeling wronged. Meanwhile, more and more people were coming out of the dorm, and a few people gathered around to watch the commotion.

"Oh? She had lunch with me yesterday, why didn't she tell me?" Liu Shufang clearly didn't believe this, she thought the little girl was lying.

"If you don't believe me, I can go find her now and we can confront her face to face." Zhou Meiling's temper flared up as well. Why was she being wrongly accused like this?

"No need for that. Go explain to your teacher! You're so young, yet you're not studying properly and staying out all night. We have no right to discipline you, but your teachers do." Liu Shufang said casually, then turned and went back into her room.
