As they reached the gate, one of the cars opened its door. Upon seeing the person wrapped in a bed sheet, the driver was startled and took a step back. Only after regaining his composure did he step out.
Qiao Xiaoni watched as the man in black was roughly pushed into the car, as if he were throwing in a tattered rag...
Fu Ru's face slammed into the back seat, and she screamed in pain again. The sheets were soaked with blood that had flowed from inside.
Those standing outside were too afraid to get on the bus after seeing it, so they went to another bus instead.
Soon the three cars drove away and disappeared from everyone's sight.
Fu Ru's house doesn't look ordinary. Could she have some important background?
Qiao Xiaoni only thought about it for a moment, and then stopped thinking about it. Returning home and eating a hot meal made her feel incredibly happy.
"Ming doesn't need to go to school anymore. Bring everything back from your desk this afternoon." Qiao Xiaoni added another bowl of rice to her bowl.
Su Chenhao put some fish into her bowl: "Okay, tomorrow you'll come with me to the workshop to see how our business is doing."
I think the sauce could be improved further, and we should make more flavors. Only through continuous innovation can a product find a market.
"I'm planning to make garlic chili sauce. It's delicious even without meat, and most importantly, it's low-cost." Qiao Xiaoni had a sudden inspiration while looking at the garlic on the table. She could make some cheap chili sauce to sell, as the ingredients were inexpensive and the price was not high.
"I think it's a good idea." Su Chenhao calculated in his mind that there was less than a month until the Chinese New Year, and if he was lucky, he could earn at least 10,000 yuan.
That way, they'll have the money for their wedding and can give Nizi a lavish one.
...
During the last class in the afternoon, Qiao Xiaoni packed up her things and left the classroom. The events of the morning had caused quite a few consequences; many students changed their minds and asked for leave to go home early.
So after class, there were only hurried figures, and I didn't see many people chatting. The sky was overcast, and it looked like it was going to snow heavily. This was the perfect time to eat hot pot.
Thinking of this, I quickened my pace. I went back to prepare some ingredients and then went to my sister-in-law's place for hot pot.
...
On the train.
After several stops, the number of people on the sleeper berths increased, and occasional noises could be heard.
Seeing that they had almost finished eating, Song Mingyuan put down the newspaper in his hand and said, "Meiling, I'll go to the dining car to buy some food. Is there anything you want to eat? The food should have just been made by now."
Zhou Meiling sat up: "Buy whatever you want. We're almost home, and I don't have much of an appetite right now. I'll just eat something simple. Don't buy too much."
"Okay." Song Mingyuan turned around, took his lunchbox, and went to the food cart. There were quite a few people in line, so he waited for a while.
When he went to buy some, there weren't many good dishes left, so he paid the chef to stir-fry some shredded pork with sauce.
He remembered Zhou Meiling saying she liked shredded pork with sweet bean sauce. The school cafeteria never made it, and his mother didn't know how, but the chef today happened to know how, so he ordered a serving.
Although the price was outrageously expensive, it was understandable considering it was on a train. The shredded pork with sweet bean sauce was quickly prepared, and I asked the chef for a side of bean curd sheets. With my rice and other food, I quickly returned to my sleeper car.
Zhou Meiling saw the things placed on the table, and smelled a familiar scent. She immediately sat up.
Shredded pork with sweet bean sauce?
"Hmm, quickly grab your chopsticks and try it to see if it tastes good. The chef told me this is her specialty."
