Neither of them objected to the butler's departure; instead, they chatted casually.
Their striking resemblance subtly brought them closer together.
Butler Fu didn't go to the restroom; instead, he found a place to make a phone call, and he was extremely anxious searching for it. By the time he found it, 15 minutes had passed.
After dialing the number, I waited for the old man to answer the phone while panting, and then waited quietly for a few more minutes.
"Bo Yi, has something happened?" Fu Jialin roared into the phone. If anything happened to his grandson, he wouldn't be able to go on living.
His branch only has one male grandson; if something happens to him, it will be equivalent to the line ending.
“Master, please listen to me first. Young Master is alright.” Butler Fu wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve and continued, “We went to the library and met a child there who looks a lot like Young Master.”
The two hit it off immediately and chatted. Most importantly, the young master actually drank the water and ate the steamed buns the child had brought.
"Huh? A child who looks a lot like the young master?" Fu Jialin was astonished. "He even ate the food the child brought. How is that possible?"
“Sir, if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it.”
"How old is the child?" Fu Jialin pressed, a possibility flashing through his mind. Could he be a descendant of his long-lost brother?
"They look two years younger than the young master, maybe even younger. They look so alike! If the young master weren't older, I would have suspected they were his twin brothers."
"Was going to the library today a last-minute decision, or was it planned in advance?" Fu Jialin couldn't help but wonder. There aren't that many coincidences in the world. So-called coincidences are all caused by human intervention.
"The young master told me we were going to the library after we got in the car; the others probably didn't know we were going to the library."
"Then go back and continue to find out about that child's background, where he lives. This matter must be handled carefully for me. Also, you must bring the young master back to me safe and sound." Fu Jialin instructed over the phone, sweating profusely from his excessive tension.
"Yes!" Butler Fu replied respectfully, and the phone rang with the sound of it being hung up. He turned to the shopkeeper and said, "Keep the change." He then hurried back to the library; the journey was too long, and he worried the child might leave early.
But the result was exactly the opposite of what he expected. When he returned to the library, he saw them sitting together reading and chatting happily.
"Second Brother, you know so much!" Su Chenqiu couldn't help but exclaim. He had recently encountered several difficult problems and solved them all. It had even improved his thinking skills considerably, which was truly beyond his expectations.
"Haha! Tell me if there are any problems you can't solve. I can't just eat your two buns for nothing." Fu Boyi hadn't laughed so happily in a long time. Being able to forget the worries of his illness felt wonderful.
Butler Fu took a breath and walked over: "Young Master, I didn't expect the toilets here to be so hard to find."
"The restrooms are easy to find; they're right next door," Su Chenqiu said, immediately exposing the butler's lie. What was that old man doing for the better part of an hour?
He was somewhat interested in the boy's identity, but he didn't want to know too much, as that would be counterproductive.
Fu Boyi: "I'm going to stay here with my brother for a while. You should go find a book to read and don't bother us."
"Yes!" Butler Fu replied respectfully and then turned to leave.
