"Your Highness, don't you remember me? I'm Momo!" He called out a few more times, but then realized that his voice was just a cat's meow and they couldn't understand him at all. This made him very anxious, and his cries became pitiful.
"Your Highness! Your Highness!"
Qiao Xiaoni watched the little black cat howling so desperately, as if it had been abandoned. "What's wrong? Is something wrong with it?"
The old man was agitated. "My kittens are perfectly healthy. If it weren't for the fact that I can't keep so many, I wouldn't have taken them to the market to find someone else to care for them."
I don't care how much money the other family has, I just want them to treat my cat well. It's a life too and needs to be treated well.
“Grandpa, you’re right. Cats are living beings too,” Qiao Xiaoni agreed, touching the kitten’s head to try and comfort it. But the kitten looked away with a disgusted expression, as if a little child had angrily run away.
"Could it be intelligent?" Qiao Xiaoni withdrew her hand. It was the first time she had seen such a strange kitten, and she became increasingly curious about what was going on with it.
Su Chenhao reached out his hand and saw the little black cat excitedly run up his hand and onto his palm. Then it licked his palm with its tongue, clearly trying to win his favor.
“This…” Qiao Xiaoni stood up excitedly, “What does this mean? It dislikes me but likes you instead, this cat is so strange.”
Su Chenhao looked at the little black cat and said, "Since it's so strange, let's not buy it. I think that little tabby cat is quite nice and obedient. It'll be perfect for guarding the house."
Momo trembled slightly. For the first time, it had been rejected. His Highness clearly didn't recognize it. What was it going to do? "Keep this money safe, I'm taking the cat with me."
She was so glad to have found such an interesting kitten that she wanted to take it home and raise it.
