Su Chenhao obediently turned around, not wanting to be kicked out. Soon, a pair of small hands were placed on his lower back, and he smiled.
Qiao Xiaoni closed her eyes, thinking she would have a hard time falling asleep, but she quickly became sleepy and then fell asleep.
Hearing the even breathing behind him, Su Chenhao gently turned around and pulled the person into his arms. The moon hung high outside; happiness was just that simple.
the next day.
Qiao Xiaoni overslept again, getting out of bed at eight in the morning. She realized she'd been sleeping in more and more late since leaving home. She wondered if she'd wake up at noon one day.
She entered the living room, where breakfast was already laid out on the table, just like yesterday: golden-brown fried eggs, a large bowl of hot soy milk, and golden-fried dough sticks. She heard the sound of chopping coming from the kitchen; she went to the doorway and saw Su Chenhao swiftly slicing tofu.
"Did you go to the market? Did you buy ready-made fried dough sticks and soy milk?"
Su Chenhao: "I buy the soy milk ready-made, but I fry the fried dough sticks myself. If I can't fry them properly after selling them for so many days, then all those days of selling would be for nothing."
When Qiao Xiaoni saw him chopping scallions, she knew he was planning to make scallion and tofu salad, so she took a towel and went to the bathroom to wash up. When she came out, the dish was already prepared and placed on the table.
"I woke up at 5:30 this morning. I couldn't fall back asleep, so I got up to make breakfast. Try it and see how it is?" Su Chenhao took off his apron and sat down.
Qiao Xiaoni took a bite of the fried dough stick and gave a thumbs up: "Not bad, not bad, with my skills, you can set up a stall to sell fried dough sticks in time."
Su Chenhao picked up a fried dough stick and started eating it. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as he had imagined.
"I'm not going to sell fried dough sticks; I'm only making them for you. How about you try the tofu too?"
Qiao Xiaoni nodded, picked up a piece of tofu with her chopsticks, put it in her mouth, and exclaimed how delicious it was: "How can it be so delicious? What seasonings did you put in it?"
"These are the seasonings you brought out. We added a little of each, and I just tasted them. They're pretty good. Even better than the side dishes you usually mix." Su Chenhao took a sip of soy milk and frowned slightly. "This doesn't taste very good. Let's not drink it."
Hearing him say that, Qiao Xiaoni knew it wouldn't taste good: "Then let's not drink soy milk. I'll go to the kitchen and make two sweet egg soups. They'll be ready soon."
"Okay, you can add a little more sugar, you like it sweet." Su Chenhao instructed her as she walked away.
Qiao Xiaoni went to the kitchen and quickly made a large bowl of egg drop soup, which she then placed on the table for the two of them to drink.
They'd only lived there a few days, but it felt like they were a couple who'd been together for many years.
After breakfast, as usual, Su Chenhao would wash the dishes. She went back to her room, picked out a sweater, and put it on underneath. She wore a light pink wool coat over it, black pants, and leather shoes.
After thinking for a moment, she took out a simple leather bag. She had looked at everyone's clothing styles yesterday, and they were better than she had imagined, and not too tacky at all.
Therefore, she doesn't need to dress too plainly; wearing something appropriate won't be noticed, since there are no brand labels on the clothes anyway.
If anyone asks, just say you bought it in a shopping mall, and make up a random place so they won't know.
