"Sister-in-law, we're family. I don't like hearing you say such polite things all the time!" Qiao Xiaoni pulled her down to sit and touched her stomach.
How are you feeling today? Was the baby good?
"It's alright, apart from needing to use the restroom a couple more times, I don't feel anything else." Tao Chunfang's face was beaming with smiles. Life is wonderful now, and she wakes up with a smile every day.
"That's good. It's best if nothing happens. What did you eat for lunch today? The food in the cafeteria is really not to my liking. I just ate a few bites and now I'm starving."
"I had noodles with my child for lunch. There are still ingredients in the kitchen. I'll go cook you a bowl!"
"Mixed noodles are fine too, it'll save you the trouble! You don't have to bother, I can handle it myself." Qiao Xiaoni stood up and took off her coat.
Tao Chunfang got up but was forced back down and had to sit down.
"It won't take much effort for me to cook you a bowl of noodles."
"You can just sit and wait for me. It would be best if someone accompanied me while I eat, otherwise I won't have much of an appetite." Qiao Xiaoni hung the clothes on the rack, rolled up her sleeves, and went into the kitchen.
Tao Chunfang realized that she wouldn't be able to help much in the kitchen, so she simply broke off the grapes from the table one by one and put them on a plate.
After finishing her classes for the day, Qiao Manli put away her homework.
"Mom, can I have a grape?"
“You can eat four, and then leave the rest for your aunt.” Tao Chunfang picked out four and gave them to her daughter.
Qiao Manli is much more sensible than before. She knows that her mother and aunt are pregnant and need nutrition, so she can eat less.
A delicious aroma of meat wafted in, and Qiao Manli put down the grapes she was holding and went to the kitchen. The sauce, which looked hot, was poured from the pot onto a plate.
"Auntie, could you cook me a bowl of noodles too?"
Qiao Xiaoni turned around: "You can just wait outside."
Qiao Manli received an affirmative answer, turned around and went back to the living room, where she sat down on the sofa in a happy mood.
"Mom, the sauce you make will never taste as good as Auntie's."
"Huh? You little devil, who said my fried sauce was the best at noon today? It's only been a short time and you've already changed your mind. I'll never believe a word you say again."
"Mom, I'm telling the truth, and you won't let me say it!" Qiao Manli spoke her mind without restraint.
Qiao Xiaoni brought everything out on a tray, including all the cooked noodles, about three bowls in total.
"Sister-in-law, are you hungry? Have something to eat. I've prepared all the ingredients."
The finely shredded cucumber and meat sauce looked so appetizing. Tao Chunfang felt hungry again, and without being polite to her sister-in-law, she picked up her bowl and chopsticks and started eating.
While eating her noodles, Qiao Xiaoni checked the time; it was already five o'clock. Su Chenhao should be on his way back by now.
He'll be home in about an hour. There's a fish in the kitchen he can cook.
Since becoming pregnant, I've had an insatiable craving for food. I have to eat whatever I want, otherwise I can't sleep at night.
Su Chenhao was already preparing to go home when he received a call from Butler Fu. After hearing his hurried explanation, he realized that something serious had happened. He hung up the phone, grabbed his clothes, and immediately took a taxi to the Fu family's house.
