Chapter 108 Give Me 10,000 Yuan

Director Tang reached out and pinched Lu Qing's slender waist, his eyes filled with disdain. He had seen plenty of women like Lu Qing; she was just someone to play around with.

The two cuddled in bed for a while longer before Director Tang drove away.

Lu Qing sat alone against the bed, lit a cigarette and smoked it expressionlessly, her eyes somewhat vacant.

Two days later, just after Lu Yang finished class, the teacher in the mailroom handed him a letter and said, "Your letter."

Lu Yang found it strange that his mother and the others would call the restaurant directly when they wanted to contact him.

He installed a telephone at home before he left, and it was very convenient to make calls, so he couldn't imagine who would write to him.

After receiving the letter, he thanked the teacher who delivered it and hurriedly walked out.

He was busy until after 9 p.m. before he finally finished his business at the restaurant.

He sat on the steps, opened the letter, and read it carefully.

He knew it was from Li Xingran after reading just one line.

The letter was very simple, only stating that he had transferred to a military academy and that everything was fine at the moment.

Lu Yang glanced at the address, thought carefully, and found that the place where Li Xingran was currently located looked somewhat familiar.

He thought for a moment, then suddenly remembered something, so he quickly found some stationery and wrote a serious reply to Li Xingran.

The next morning, after mailing the letter, he hurried off to class.

Two weeks later, Li Xingran received a reply from Lu Yang, and he was taken aback when he saw the letter.

In his letter, Lu Yang wrote that he had overheard news on the black market that a roving murderer had come to Li Xingran's place, and he even described the murderer's appearance in detail.

Li Xingran's pupils contracted as she read the letter. After memorizing its contents, she immediately burned it.

He quickly packed his things, asked for leave, and hurriedly left the school.

Two days later, he encountered the murderer in a noisy market.

He quickly followed, and taking advantage of the murderer's inattention, he knocked him unconscious from behind and reported to his superiors.

"How do you know he's the serial killer?"

After the murderer confessed, Li Xingran's instructor asked Li Xingran a question with suspicion.

Li Xingran said without changing his expression: "Some murderers return to the crime scene after committing a murder. This person is not a resident near the crime scene, but he is wandering around there. He is left-handed like the murderer. You can tell from his eyes that he has killed someone."

"So he only suspected him, so he arrested him and interrogated him. He never expected that he would actually be the murderer."

The instructor stared at Li Xingran and nodded slightly. He had some reservations about Li Xingran to begin with.

After all, Li Xingran was forced to join the school halfway through her studies. When she first arrived, she couldn't even keep up with the basic training. Unexpectedly, she had good luck and a good eye for talent.

"This murderer has killed thirteen people. He is extremely vicious. You have been awarded a third-class merit this time, which will be recorded in your file."

The instructor looked at Li Xingran with some appreciation and smiled as he spoke.

Li Xingran's feelings were somewhat complicated. He was able to achieve this merit entirely because of the information Lu Yang gave him.

However, he still smiled and said, "Thank you, instructor."

Back in the dorm, his classmates, who were closer to him, said enviously, "You're really lucky, kid. You ran into a murderer while out shopping and easily knocked him out!"

Li Xingran smiled and said, "That's right. Once my third-class merit is confirmed, I'll treat you all to a meal."

His roommate in the bunk above him immediately leaned out and said, "Hey buddy, I know a restaurant that's pretty good."

Li Xingran nodded and said, "Then let's go to the one you mentioned."

After chatting briefly, Li Xingran quickly wrote a letter after they left.

He briefly recounted how the murderer was caught, feeling a strange sense of unease, though he couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.

Lu Yang received his reply half a month later. After reading the reply, he immediately wrote a second letter to Li Xingran.

The contents of this letter were similar to the previous one; Lu Yang claimed to have heard the news on the black market.

The letter stated that someone in a nearby county was manufacturing and selling drugs next week, and also provided a rough address of the location.

Li Xingran felt a chill run down her spine, sensing that this was not something that could be found out on the black market.

"Lu Yang is a really mysterious person."

Li Xingran couldn't help but sigh.

Lu Yang told him all this for his own reasons. After all, his family was poor, and he needed a powerful backer if he wanted to continue climbing the social ladder.

Li Xingran's family background was the best he had ever met, so he decided to make an investment.

During this period, Lu Yang has been busy with the restaurant business, and the business has gradually stabilized.

Lu Yang breathed a sigh of relief and took a trip back to the north during the May Day holiday. Cheng Lin had been calling recently, saying he wanted to open a branch of the restaurant.

This time, Lu Yang went back by himself and brought a car full of electrical appliances, since the appliance store also needed to restock.

He first unloaded the appliances and restocked the two appliance stores before rushing to the restaurant to find Cheng Lin.

Cheng Lin was sitting on the steps by the door eating an apple when he saw Lu Yang. He immediately jumped up and rushed to Lu Yang's side, pulling him into the restaurant.

"What's wrong?"

Lu Yang looked at Cheng Lin with some confusion, his face full of doubt.

Cheng Lin whispered, "Do you know that Lu Qing is an actress?"

Lu Yang couldn't help but tease, "Not only do I know, but Lili and I also rented the DVD of the movie she starred in and watched it. Her acting was terrible."

Cheng Lin scratched his head and said, "Lu Qing asked you for money, saying it's for initial investment to cultivate her into a big star!"

"The key issue is that your father hasn't paid off the fine yet. He has no money to give to Lu Qing, so he went to cause trouble for your mother. But Du Miao sent people to keep an eye on him, so your father didn't succeed and came to find you instead."

Lu Yang was a little puzzled: "He must know that I went to Guangzhou."

Cheng Lin stroked his chin and said, "Of course I know, but this restaurant is yours. He asked me to withdraw ten thousand yuan from your account for him."

"Of course I wouldn't give it to him. This guy was throwing a tantrum at the door, but Uncle Yu called him away later."

Lu Yang was a little worried about Old Yu, after all, Lu Jianjun was a treacherous, selfish and ruthless person, and he was worried that Old Yu would suffer.

So he simply said, "I'll go take a look."

After saying that, he jogged all the way to the main store of the electronics store. He had only gone to the branch store to restock and hadn't come to the main store.

Upon entering the main store, he saw Old Yu and Lu Jianjun sitting together drinking tea.

When Lu Jianjun saw him, his expression was uncertain. After a moment, he stood up and said bluntly, "Give me ten thousand yuan right now!"

Old Yu sighed, stood up, and said angrily, "I just said so much to you, but you ignored it all!"

Lu Jianjun waved his hand and said, "Old Yu, you don't understand. He can earn at least 20,000 or 30,000 yuan a month now. 10,000 yuan is not much to him!"

"Helping your brothers and sisters is the right thing to do. If you're rich, then lend a hand. It's too cold-blooded of you to just stand by and watch!"

Lu Yang pushed open the door of the appliance store with a blank expression and said, "I don't know how to make Lu Mansha famous, but I know how to ruin her reputation!"

"The fact that she was beaten in the street for being a mistress has been in the newspapers!"
