Lu Qing couldn't help but laugh. He was separated from Zhou Kewei by a street, so he could clearly see Zhou Kewei's bewildered and distraught appearance.
However, Zhou Kewei couldn't see her because of the phone booth.
Zhou Kewei could only stand there and go crazy. She felt extremely satisfied. Zhou Kewei had hurt her like this, and she was determined to make Zhou Kewei suffer a mental breakdown.
Without thinking, she hung up the phone and walked around to the other side of the phone booth, carefully watching the other person.

After calming down, he called his father again.
His father asked him directly, "Did you go to the security office?"

Zhou Kewei was stunned. Zhou's father continued, "Call the police. Since you've already told the Gu family about this, whether Gu Baiyu lives or dies is none of your business anymore. You don't need to worry about this anymore."
Zhou Kewei hesitated, after all, he and Gu Baiyu had grown up together since childhood.
He was very worried about the other person's safety, but he himself was also very afraid of dying.
After hesitating for a moment, he decided to listen to his father.
Just as he was about to call the police, he heard a scream coming from the school library; the sound was extremely shrill.

He shouted angrily, "What happened inside? What happened?"
Seeing that he was too agitated, the students inside shouted, "We don't know yet, we just heard screams that seemed to be coming from the top floor."
"We haven't gone up to check yet. The door to the top floor is locked. The school janitor will come to deliver the key soon."
Zhou Kewei's eyes were bloodshot, and the shrill screams coming from the locked room on the top floor were stimulating his nerves.
Without a second thought, he pushed through the crowd and rushed in.
Lu Qing walked to the roadside and picked up Zhou Kewei's mobile phone.
She found the contact name in the notebook; it was her father's phone number. She then called Zhou Kewei's father directly.
Zhou Kewei's father answered the phone quickly and asked in a cold voice, "Have you called the police?"
Lu Qing chuckled sinisterly a few times and said, "Your son is in my hands now. If you don't want him to die, don't call the police."
Zhou's father immediately became furious and said, "Who exactly are you? What deep-seated hatred do you have for Xiaowei?"
Lu Qing sneered, "Have you done so many bad things that you don't even remember how many people you've harmed?"
Mr. Zhou was speechless. In a sense, Lu Qing was right. Mr. Zhou had been unscrupulous in his business dealings over the years.
He was silent for a while, then asked, "Are you here for me or for Xiaowei? I don't want to pursue this matter with you."
"I'll agree to any condition as long as you release my son, just don't do anything rash!"
Lu Qing curled the corners of her lips and said, "Only one of Gu Baiyu and your son can live. You have to choose one."
"You bitch, I don't know who you are, but if I rescue you, I'll make you wish you were dead. How dare you threaten me!"
Zhou's father was also someone who made his fortune by risking his life, so naturally he wasn't good at it. After hearing Lu Qing's words, he roared angrily.
Lu Qing laughed wildly: "What, you want to kill me? You'll have to find me first."
"The world is so vast, and transportation is so convenient now. If I want to escape, where would you find me?"
Zhou's father fell silent. He knew very well how chaotic this era was, and if something really happened, this woman was capable of killing.
He was silent for a moment, then said, "What exactly do you want?"
She was in a very secluded corner, and everyone around her was watching the excitement at the library, so no one was paying attention to her, and she spoke without restraint.

The reason she's teasing Zhou's father like this is because Zhou Kewei embezzled money from the provincial university. After it was discovered, Zhou's father shifted all the blame onto her in order to protect his son.
Lu Qing hated Zhou Kewei, but she also hated Zhou's father.
But she didn't want to do anything to Zhou's father, because she wanted to kill him and destroy his spirit.
