Deputy Director Shen sighed and turned to Lu Yang: "You've been here with me for so long, go home now."
"It's the Lunar New Year, and you have to run into something like this..."
In the end, he couldn't help but sigh again.
Lu Yang nodded silently: "It's alright. Anyway, Shen Xuwen and I are old acquaintances. Why don't you hire a caregiver for him, and I'll get him some food?"
Deputy Director Shen shook his head: "His mother will come to take care of him in a little while. I'm going back to work. I'll have his mother cook for him and bring it over. You can go back first."
Lu Yang was actually a little puzzled. The couple wasn't poor, and they weren't young either.
Why would you rather take care of yourself than hire a caregiver?
But this was their family matter, and Lu Yang couldn't be bothered to get involved.
Since he wasn't needed here, he simply left.
When he got home, he found Yao Lili sleeping on the sofa, curled up in a ball.
Lu Yang walked over, picked her up, and placed her on the bed in the bedroom. He then went to the bathroom to take a shower.
When he came out of the bathroom, Yao Lili was already awake and asked in confusion, "You didn't come back all night, where did you go?"
Lu Yang sat down next to him and sneered, "I've seen quite a few acquaintances all night; I haven't had a moment's rest."
When Yao Lili heard that he had seen Lu Qing, Shen Xuwen, and Tang Jincheng that night, she was taken aback.
"Is Lu Qing out of her mind? She's begging for help, she's come to you for help!"
Lu Yang quickly recovered and understood Lu Qing's thoughts.
Because in his entire life, apart from bullying him when he was young and causing him trouble when he was setting up a stall after he grew up, Lu Qing had never really caused him any great harm.
In Lu Qing's view, she and Lu Yang probably didn't have any major grudges.
