Upon entering the living room, they saw the other people standing at the door of a bedroom, peeking out.
Seeing the large teddy bear that Guo Ju was holding, the others asked, "Was that a birthday present from Yuan Pingping?"
Guo Ju nodded.
"Wow, Yuan Pingping, can you give me one next time too? I want one too!" Cao Dan looked enviously at the bear in Guo Ju's arms, then turned to Yuan Pingping and said to her.
"By your birthday, we'll all have graduated. And this is definitely expensive. Do you even know the person you're close to just because you want it?" Zhou Xueqing said sourly to Cao Dan, pursing her lips.

After saying that, she left the room, leaving Yuan Mengge and the others staring at each other.
After Guo Ju left, Wei Jingting looked at her and asked, "How much did you spend on this bear?"
Yuan Mengge: "Thirty-eight."

After putting down the dishes, Yuan Mengge went in to help bring up the chopped chicken and duck.
Soon the table was filled with dishes, including fish, meat, shrimp, and poached chicken and duck.
I stir-fried two plates of water spinach.
Then there's a pot of chicken soup with dried bean curd, vermicelli, mushrooms, and tofu skin.
After Guo Ju set out the bowls, she said to them, "Alright, come and sit down."
After Yuan Mengge and the others sat down, Wei Jingting, holding a bowl, asked, "Where's the food?"
Guo Ju immediately led her into the kitchen, pointed to a pot and said, "Here."
Yuan Mengge also came in with a bowl to get her food.
After everyone was seated, Guo Ju's brother came out with two large bottles of drinks and asked, "Do you want alcohol or soft drinks?"
Yuan Mengge said, "I'll just have a beverage."
During the meal, Guo's father was rather quiet, while Guo's mother talked quite a bit.
Guo Ju's brother is a great conversationalist; he can talk about this for a while and that for a while.
Most of the stories either recount embarrassing incidents from Guo Ju's childhood or strange and unusual events that occurred in their village.
Yuan Mengge ate her meal quietly, listening to their conversation.
The meal was quite enjoyable.
