Chapter 187 Who is Right and Who is Wrong

“I refuse,” Yuan Mengge said succinctly.

Her refusal was so quick that it caught Li Mingjun and the others off guard.

After the two realized what was happening, Li Mingjun pointed at her angrily and said, "I knew you wouldn't admit your mistake so easily. Call your teacher out! I want to see which teacher produced such a barbaric student! Your parents raised you like this, they must not be any good people either."

Just then, a teacher came out, looked at them, and said, "Who are you people? What do you want with her?"

As soon as he spoke, Li Mingjun and the others turned to look at him.

"Come, come, are you a teacher at this school?" Li Mingjun immediately waved to the teacher, then pointed at Yuan Mengge and said, "Your students are beating people up and hurt my brother. Shouldn't you do something about it?"

This teacher was Yuan Mengge's politics teacher. After hearing Li Mingjun's words, he turned to Yuan Mengge and asked, "What happened? Did you hit someone again?"

"Again? It seems this woman also enjoys violence, huh?" Chen Donghu sneered sarcastically when he heard the teacher say "again."

Yuan Mengge told her political science teacher, "Their younger siblings blocked my way on the road yesterday. They hit me first and threw stones at me. I was just acting in self-defense."

The politics teacher asked, "Were you alone at the time? Were you with anyone else?"

Yuan Mengge: "Guo Ju and Wei Jingting were both there; the three of us went out together."

When the political science teacher heard that there was a witness, things became much easier.

So he turned around and looked into the campus, and immediately said to one of the passing students, "Hey you... could you go and call Wei Jingting and Guo Ju from the junior high girls' dormitory to come down for a bit?"

After hearing what he said, the student turned around and went downstairs to call for help.

The political science teacher turned to look at Li Mingjun and the others and said, "Please don't get agitated before we understand the situation."

Then he asked Yuan Mengge, "Do you know these people?"

Yuan Mengge shook her head and said, "They said they were my ex-sister-in-law's family, but my ex-sister-in-law has already divorced my brother."

After listening to her words, the politics teacher thought for a moment and then asked, "Then what did your younger siblings want to see you about yesterday?"

Yuan Mengge said, "They came to me asking where my ex-sister-in-law was. How would I know?"

She shrugged and then complained to the teacher, "I said I didn't know, and they wouldn't let me leave. They even tried to throw stones at me... I just fought back a little in self-defense."

When the politics teacher heard her say that she had slightly raised her hand, he looked at her meaningfully and asked, "...You didn't hurt anyone, did you?"

Yuan Mengge replied speechlessly, "How could I possibly get hurt? I didn't use any weapons, I just kicked him."

The political teacher immediately looked at Li Mingjun and the others, and said, "You said your brother is injured? What kind of injury could a girl get from being kicked? Is your brother made of clay, that he'd break after just one hit?"

The difference in strength between men and women is inherently vast; an ordinary girl could never injure someone by simply using her fists and feet in a fight.

However, the politics teacher also realized that Yuan Mengge was different from ordinary girls, but since she said that she only used her hand slightly, the damage was not significant.

The other party must have exaggerated the situation.

Upon hearing his words, Li Mingjun and the others immediately retorted angrily, "What did you say? Did you see it and you're saying my brother wasn't injured? Or are you saying you're going to speak up for her just because she's a student at your school?"

The politics teacher said expressionlessly, "I'm not speaking up for her, I just think that she's a girl, and she can't possibly be that strong. Besides, your brother and sister started it, why don't you say that?"

Objectively speaking, she was attacked first, and retaliating is her legitimate right. What's wrong with that? Who's right and who's wrong isn't solely determined by your side's opinion, is it?

As a political science teacher, he is naturally quite skilled with words.

Furthermore, as a teacher, he has an obligation to protect his students, so how could he only listen to one side of the story?

Soon, Wei Jingting and Guo Ju came downstairs and asked at the school gate, "Teacher, were you looking for us?"

The politics teacher looked at the two of them and asked, "You went out with Yuan Pingping yesterday, right?"

The two nodded.

The politics teacher continued, "So what happened yesterday? Tell me everything you saw."

Wei Jingting said, "Yesterday when we went to the market, we met a pair of twins, who seemed to be students in the market. They suddenly stopped Aping and asked him some questions in a very impolite manner. Aping did not answer them at the time."

Later, when we were getting ready to go back to school, they ambushed us in a secluded spot and started swearing at us. In the end, they even threw stones at A-Ping first, and only then did A-Ping hit them.

Teacher, they were the ones who provoked A-Ping first, and that woman even said she would have her brother rape and then kill A-Ping…”

"What?" Upon hearing the last sentence, the politics teacher's face instantly darkened. She looked at the three of them and asked, "Did they really say those things?"

Yuan Mengge and the other two nodded.

"Well done!!" the politics teacher suddenly praised, then turned to Li Mingjun and the others and said, "You'd better leave right now, otherwise I'll have to call the police to handle this. It seems your family has very good upbringing, saying such things at such a young age!"

Seeing the political science teacher's sudden change in attitude, Li Mingjun and his companion looked rather grim and immediately pointed at Wei Jingting, saying:

"Who knows if they're telling the truth or lying? My sister is a good person, she would never say such a thing. Go ahead and call the police if you want! Do you think the police will bother with your petty affairs? Even if they do come, she'll be the one who hit someone, and my brother will be the one who gets hurt."

Seeing that they were starting to ignore him, the political teacher turned to Yuan Mengge and the other two and said, "You three go in first."

Yuan Mengge nodded politely to the politics teacher, but as she turned and walked behind him, she made an insulting gesture at Li Mingjun and gave him a disdainful smile.

She knew that if the day ended like this, Li Mingjun and his companion would definitely not let it go and would probably come back to cause trouble again.

That would only annoy her. It would be better to deal with them all at once today so they wouldn't dare to come to school again.

She knew her uncle's personality well: he was impulsive, easily angered, extremely proud, and intolerant of being insulted or looked down upon.

He often gets into fights with others because of a few disparaging remarks they make.
