Chapter 92 Divorce Certificate

"No mediation needed!" Yuan Mengge, standing at the door, immediately spoke up upon hearing the staff member's words.

The man turned his head and looked at her suspiciously: "And who are you? If you're not here on business, then get out. Don't get in the way of other people's business."

Yuan Mengge walked straight in and whispered a few words in Li Xue'e's ear: "Absolutely do not accept mediation, you know? These mediators have ruined countless women who can't get a divorce."

After saying that, she turned to look at Yuan Dasheng, pointed at him and said, "If you don't get a divorce today, you can wait to go to jail for the rest of your life!"

She then glanced at the staff member, turned around, and walked out.

Yuan Dasheng rolled his eyes, sat down next to Li Xue'e, and said to the staff, "We don't need any mediation, just process our divorce directly."

Li Xue'e placed the divorce papers on the table and said to the staff, "These are our divorce papers. Please process them for us."

The staff looked at them but didn't process their application immediately. Instead, they asked a series of questions: "Why are you getting a divorce? Was it a breakdown in your relationship? You've only been married for less than a month, haven't you? What's the reason?"

Li Xue'e replied, "We have no feelings for each other, so there's no question of whether our feelings have broken down. The reason is simply that I don't want to live with him anymore."

Yuan Dasheng lost his patience and said irritably to the staff, "Why ask so many questions? Does getting a divorce really need to be so complicated? Why didn't you ask these questions when we got married? Besides, we really don't have any feelings for each other anymore. We just feel like we don't want to be together anymore, so what?"

The staff member glanced at the two of them, then picked up the marriage certificate that Li Xue'e handed over and looked at it. Seeing that both of them had signed it, he looked up at them and said, "I need to find out the reason here. It's the rule."

The reason I'm saying all this is to see if their marriage can still be saved.

There's a saying that goes, "It's better to tear down ten temples than to break up one marriage."

If someone comes to file for divorce, try to persuade them if you can, and try to stop them if you can.

They don't care if anyone dies after they persuade these divorced couples to go back together.

Anyway, as long as this divorce doesn't happen, it's a good thing.

Upon hearing what the staff member said, Li Xue'e thought for a moment and said, "My family arranged this marriage for me; I was forced to marry him. I don't want to spend my life with someone I don't like. I want to get a divorce and marry a man I love!"

After listening to her words, the staff member turned to Yuan Dasheng and asked, "What about you? Are you like her?"

He glanced at Li Xue'e; she was quite pretty. Most men would like a woman like that, so why wouldn't this man?

Yuan Dasheng certainly wouldn't dare say that he was forced into the divorce; he could only nod in agreement with Li Xue'e: "That's right. And we both agreed, so why are you asking so many questions? Can't we hurry up?"

As he spoke, he impatiently urged on again.

Li Xue'e also said, "Yes, please help us get it done quickly. If this marriage isn't dissolved, I might be nothing but a corpse soon."

Yuan Dasheng glanced at her and said speechlessly, "What do you mean? Do you think I would kill you?"

Li Xue'e said coldly, "Of course you won't lay a hand on me, but I will kill myself! I'd rather be dead than live with you!"

Yuan Dasheng slammed his fist on the table in anger, glaring at her and saying, "Then why don't you just die? Huh?"

Seeing that they were both getting agitated, the staff quickly advised, "Calm down, both of you. Okay, I'll get it done for you now."

Seeing that the two were very determined to divorce, the staff felt that the chances of reconciliation were very low, so they had no choice but to give up the idea.

Moreover... in a relationship without an emotional foundation, where the couple was forced into marriage by their parents and had only been married for a short time, the chances of them getting back together are indeed very low.

However, in general, the man would not agree to this, after all, he had just married his wife, and he was worried that the duck he had just gotten his hands on would fly away.

Unless the woman returns all the betrothal gifts...

The staff member glanced at the two of them curiously, wanting to ask but feeling it would be impolite to inquire about their private affairs.

There are some divorced couples here, but he has mediated and persuaded some of them to go back together.

The staff quickly completed the divorce procedures for them and handed them the divorce certificate.

Then he said, "Alright, I wish you both find your next good match."

Li Xue'e received the divorce certificate, a look of joy on her face.

He got up and ran outside.

Then, he ran up to Yuan Mengge with a happy smile and said to her, "It's done. Look, the divorce certificate."

Anyone who didn't know better would think she was holding a marriage certificate because she looked so happy.

After receiving the certificate, Li Xue'e suddenly felt much lighter, as if the shackles on her body had disappeared.

Yuan Mengge nodded and said, "Okay, let's go. We'll go to Sister Yuanyuan's house for the night, and tomorrow I'll take you to the provincial capital to become her apprentice."

Li Xue'e nodded: "Mm."

Since I can't go back to the Yuan family or the Li family, I have no choice but to stay at a friend's house for the night.

Yuan Mengge walked to the bicycle, pushed it, and said, "Is there anything you need me to get? I'll go get it for you tonight."

Li Xue'e walked beside her and shook her head: "Besides the clothes, there's nothing else. But the clothes were all bought with your family's money, so it's okay if you don't take them."

The two then rode their bicycles towards Hu Yuanyuan's house.

Not far from them, a person on a bicycle stopped by the roadside, looking at the two of them with a puzzled expression as they came out of that place.

Then they saw Yuan Dasheng come out from that place. People on the roadside watched as the three of them came out one after the other, but then they went in two different directions.

"Huh? What's going on? Why did they go there?" The man thought for a moment, then rode his bicycle toward Yuan Dasheng.

"Dasheng, what's going on with you? What are you and A'e doing here?" He rode his bicycle directly in front of Yuan Dasheng, who was about to leave.

Upon seeing this person, Yuan Dasheng didn't hide anything and said directly, "Isn't it your Li Xue'e who's been making a fuss about divorcing me? Let's get a divorce."

This man was Chen Donghu, Li Xue'e's second brother, who was not related to her by blood.

Chen Donghu was the son of Li Xue'e's stepmother who married into the Li family. He was one year older than Li Xue'e.

"What?! You're divorced?!?!" Upon hearing Yuan Dasheng's words, Chen Donghu's eyes widened instantly, staring at him in disbelief.

Then, he subconsciously looked in the direction Li Xue'e and the others had left, before turning back to Yuan Dasheng and asking, "Why? Who agreed? Your parents? Did Xue'e's dad agree? Did you agree too???"

He looked puzzled as he spoke.
