The loud explosion attracted many people living nearby to investigate. Banxia directed Yinzi to navigate around the area to avoid running into anyone else. The only downside was that it took a lot of time. Nanxing and the others almost turned the ship around and went back to find her.
As soon as she and Yinzi boarded the ship, Nanxing came to greet them: "Why did it take so long? Did you encounter any danger?"
Su Yao and the others, along with the furry creatures, looked at her with concern.
Banxia, holding Nanxing's hand, explained, "Many people came to check the situation. I was afraid of encountering outsiders and exposing my identity, so Yinzi and I took a detour."
She had assumed there were hardly any people living alone in the city, but she nearly ran into people several times.
"Where do we go now? Should we find a place to rest?"
Nanxing explained, "We let Lu Zhuocheng's family and a few survivors rest in an empty office building. We're going to meet them now."
"Okay," Banxia nodded, then waved to Jinzi, who looked aggrieved, "Jinzi, why are you looking at me like that?"
Jinzi gave her a resentful look, then turned around and faced away from her.
Banxia could tell at a glance that Jinzi was jealous, so she quickly went up to Jinzi, pinched its big paw and explained, "The Alaskan Malamute is a puppy that my sister rescued from the lab, but she hasn't agreed to keep it yet."
Jinzi's eyes lit up: "Woof woof woof?"
My sister didn't lie to me?
Banxia touched the gold: "Sister doesn't lie to puppies. But Alaskan Malamute really wants to follow you, so I promised to ask for your opinion when it comes back. If you're willing to accept it, it can live with us from now on. If not, that's okay too. You're the most important."
The little Alaskan Malamute was pitiful, but Gold was her family.
Jinzi didn't make a decision immediately, but tilted her head and pondered.
The Alaskan Malamute cautiously approached the gold and licked its fur in a friendly manner.
Jinzi used its paw to pry it open and examined it carefully for a while. Such a small creature would easily have an accident if it were left to survive alone in the wild. Jinzi was magnanimous and decided to take it in as a little brother.
It nodded solemnly to Banxia, but still emphasized, "Woof woof woof woof!"
My sister's favorite puppy can only be me!
Alaska was the first to react, happily rubbing against the gold, and then squatting down in front of Banxia with an expectant look on her face.
Banxia picked up the Alaskan Malamute and glanced at its belly: "You're a little girl, how about we call you Peach from now on?"
The Alaskan Malamute puppy has light yellow hair on its nose and between its eyebrows, and gray hair starting from above its forehead, which is pointed in shape and looks like a heart at first glance. It's extremely beautiful.
The Alaskan Malamute happily circled around her, "Awooo!"
Thank you, Master, for naming me!
Banxia introduced Taozi, Yinzi, Tuanzi, and Heizi to each other, and then pulled Nanxing over to introduce her: "He is the older brother, and I am the older sister. Welcome Taozi to this big family."
Peach looked at Banxia and Nanxing with a puzzled expression. Can humans and dogs address each other as brothers and sisters?
It turned to look at its fellow goldfish and confirmed, "Awoo awoo?"
Big brother, do you also call the master "sister"?
Jinzi looked back in confusion: "Woof woof woof woof?"
What is "master"? "Sister" is just "sister," that's what I've called her since I was little.
Peach looked completely bewildered. She had been in the lab since birth, and her mother had told her not to trust humans because her own human owner had personally sent her there. But her mother had also said that if she really couldn't survive, she could seek refuge with a kind-hearted human and live off them until she was fully grown before leaving.
However, they are ethical dogs. They must repay kindness by protecting humans when they are around and offering prey as a token of gratitude when they leave.
However, my owner won't let me call her "owner," she wants me to call her "sister"...
About half an hour later, the group arrived at the office building.
Upon seeing the group, Lu Zhuocheng was so excited that he was about to kneel down and kowtow. Banxia and the others were startled and quickly stopped him, saying, "It's just a small favor, no need to be so polite."
Lu Zhuocheng couldn't help but wipe away his tears: "Thank you all. If it weren't for you, my wife and daughter..."
After capturing the hostages, the division commander's wife did not take good care of them as promised, but instead left them to fend for themselves in a cold, damp room.
When Nanxing and his group arrived, the hostages were mostly barely breathing. Lu Zhuocheng's wife and child were in the best condition because they had only been thrown in for two days. However, even so, they had developed high fevers due to the low temperature. If they had arrived a few hours later, something terrible might have happened.
As they were talking, Camellia came running out of the house, calling out, "Banxia, you're finally back!"
Banxia touched its branch: "Thank you for your hard work, camellia."
Camellia proudly boasted, "It wasn't hard work~ Banxia, I saved all the survivors!" Suddenly, she saw the two little cherry blossoms that Su Yao was dragging with a rope. "Huh, are there any other people here who need treatment? Leave them to me, I promise to heal them."
As it reached for the rope, Su Yao dodged it, saying, "Thank you, Camellia, but these two are big bad guys."
"Oh!" Camellia quickly retracted her branch, saying with disdain, "Why did you bring that bad guy back?"
“These two are among the instigators of the lab. I brought them back so that the other survivors can take their revenge themselves.”
They originally planned to blow Sakura and the building to smithereens, but after discussing it, they decided to bring Sakura back so that she could take revenge herself, thus venting her resentment and starting a new life.
"Revenge?" Lu Zhuocheng reacted with surprising speed, as if he had no intellectual problems. "Let me handle that!"
His superpower had no offensive capabilities, but his mutated physical strength was not weak. He stomped hard on Zhu Yi's leg bone with his right foot.
"Crack—" The leg bone broke in two.
However, Lu Zhuocheng's anger did not subside in the slightest. He shouted into the room, "Friends, we've found our enemy! Come and take revenge!"
The survivors, whose faces had been numb, slowly raised their heads upon hearing this. Had they found their enemy?
They stumbled and helped each other up as they left the room, their eyes fixed on the white-haired old man who was tied with a rope.
It's him! It's this demon!
The survivors' eyes gradually lit up, and they swarmed around the two demons, greeting them with their hands and feet. Some, lacking strength, simply bit and tore at them like wild beasts.
Banxia and the others felt heartbroken seeing this, and took out a fruit knife from their spatial storage and handed it over: "Use this."
The survivors thanked each other with their eyes, and tacitly used fruit razor blades to cut flesh from the two men's bodies instead of stabbing them to death. Only after cutting off the last piece of flesh did they burst into tears of relief.
Fang Yunyun couldn't help but sigh, "I'm starting to regret it."
Su Yao chimed in tacitly, "Me too. If we had known, we should have messed with those two devils more."
