Several furry creatures opened their mouths in the terrified gazes of the two, and soon they were back to being on the verge of death. Banxia healed them and said, "Continue."
After several rounds of questioning, Commander Ma and Ma Xiaoya finally relented: "I can confess, but you have to answer one question first: are my maternal grandfather, mother, brother, and cousin in your hands?"
"Not here."
Banxia felt no guilt whatsoever; she had no hobby of collecting corpses.
"You're lying to me! They disappeared after they were looking for you!" Ma Xiaoya glared at her resentfully.
Banxia was getting a little impatient: "Gold, silver..."
Commander Ma and his daughter looked humiliated: "We confess!"
Gold and Silver stopped in their tracks in disappointment; they hadn't had enough fun yet.
An hour later, Banxia and the others gathered together with their confessions to corroborate each other's statements.
The six people's testimonies were largely consistent, but Ma Xiaoya and her father, along with the man who pretended to be dead—who was also Zhu Yi's father, Zhu Ren—deliberately lied about key clues.
Su Yao angrily cursed, "What a sly fox! If we hadn't checked carefully, we might have wronged an innocent person."
Banxia put the tablet into her spatial storage: "The testimonies of the other three people may not be accurate either. We need to find a way to have them investigated by professionals. But these people are no longer useful, so we should deal with them as soon as possible."
Su Yao volunteered: "I'll do it!"
After he finished speaking, he excitedly pulled Commander Ma and the others to the room at the far end, preparing to deal with them one by one. Zhu Ren was so frightened that he retreated frantically: "You are abusing prisoners!"

He simply killed another person, this time tying a sturdy paracord to the corpse before throwing it into the water. Less than two seconds after the corpse entered the water, the monster reappeared, dragging the body into deeper water. Su Yao seized the opportunity and pulled it up, and a pitch-black, sharp-beaked monster appeared on the surface.
Su Yao was about to observe more closely when the sharp-beaked monster suddenly released the corpse and dived into the deep water. Immediately afterward, the calm water surface seemed to boil, bubbling and gurgling.
"Su Yao, run!"
Su Yao instinctively ran outside and saw Banxia and the others frantically running towards the rooftop: "What's wrong?"
Banxia had no time to explain: "Keep up!"
Once she reached the rooftop, she walked to the side and waved to Su Yao, saying, "See for yourself."
Su Yao glanced down and was immediately shocked: "Why has the water turned black?"
Look closely.
Su Yao stared intently, puzzled. What he saw almost made his legs go weak and he fell downstairs. It turned out that the water hadn't turned black, but that the surface of the water was covered with a dense mass of black, sharp-beaked monsters!
"What...what is this thing?"
"I don't know, but since its mouth is so long, let's just call it a spiky-mouthed fish."
The sharp-nosed fish is a monster mutated from a fish. It lives in deep water and is carnivorous by nature, especially fond of humans with tender flesh and high fat content.
As they were talking, the sharp-nosed fish leaped up and jumped into the window.
Fang Yunyun was shocked: "Can fish leave the water?"
Banxia said quietly, "Look at its belly, it's grown legs."
Nanxing and the others gasped. No wonder Banxia had dragged them to the rooftop; if they hadn't run, they probably would have been surrounded by fish.
"The silver grew bigger and sent us away..."
Before they could finish speaking, the sky suddenly darkened. Upon closer inspection, they saw two enormous mutated eagles swooping down on them like lightning!
Chirp—
Chirp—
Nanxing and the others instinctively unleashed their supernatural abilities, but before their abilities even touched the mutated eagle, they mysteriously vanished!
