Chapter 21 Newlyweds

About ten minutes later.

"Banxia, you can open your eyes now." Nanxing's smiling voice rang in her ear.

Banxia opened her eyes expectantly, her pupils instantly filled with a fiery red. She stared blankly at the red wedding dress amidst the roses.

Nanxing took her hand and led her to the wedding dress, her voice filled with anticipation and satisfaction: "I drew the design myself, do you like it?"

This is a red strapless wedding dress, with the bodice composed of irregular rose petals and the skirt adorned with three-dimensional roses.

Banxia was a little flustered: "The wedding dress, why, why is it red?"

Nanxing looked at her gently: "You like it."

Banxia burst into tears; no amount of reason could compare to the power of those three words to move her heart.

Nanxing lowered his head and kissed away the tears on her face: "Please put it on and let me see, okay? I've wanted to see it for a long time."

The wedding dress was actually made a month ago. He secretly hid it after receiving it, intending to take it out on the day they registered their marriage, wanting to give her a surprise.

Not having a wedding was their regret, but he didn't want the wedding dress to become Banxia's regret as well.

Banxia carefully took the wedding dress off the mannequin, with Nanxing following closely behind.

She couldn't help but whisper sweetly to him, "You can look at me after I'm all dressed."

Nanxing patted her head: "The back of the wedding dress has a strappy design, you can't wear it by yourself."

Actually, the original design of the back of the wedding dress was intertwined rose branches, and the ribbons were only changed last month.

Banxia lost a lot of weight after getting sick, so the original design wouldn't fit her anymore.

Banxia blushed and let Nanxing follow her into the bedroom.

Nanxing has no impure thoughts at the moment; he eagerly anticipates his bride marrying him in a wedding dress he designed.

He carefully helped Banxia put on her wedding dress and then picked up cosmetics to do her makeup.

He learned makeup skills after he clearly understood his feelings for Banxia. Banxia was timid and shy and had no good friends. No girls her age discussed makeup and dressing with her, so he learned these things and taught them to her to get closer to her.

After they started dating, to make their relationship more harmonious, he even went online to research the preferences of girls his age. This was very prescient; at least he never did something as ridiculous as giving his girlfriend a Barbie pink lipstick for Valentine's Day.

After finishing her makeup, Nanxing placed the ruby-encrusted crown on Banxia's head, straightened her veil, and then slowly looked at the red-clad bride's reflection in the mirror.

Banxia is actually very beautiful, with bright features and a slender figure.

However, due to her frail health, her face unconsciously carried a sickly air, making her originally outstanding features less vibrant and less colorful.

But at this moment, there was no trace of thinness on her face. Instead, her complexion was made to look rosy and radiant by the red wedding dress, and even her eyes were filled with an indescribable shyness and charm.

Banxia looked at the woman in the mirror with some disbelief.

Is this really her?

Nanxing lowered his head and kissed her hair: "Don't doubt it, this is you."

He turned around and took out a box containing a pair of five-centimeter red high heels. The shoes were a simple, undecorated bright red, but a bright red rose was on the heel strap.

He carefully put shoes on Banxia and tied the straps around her slender ankles.

Banxia was a little afraid to look at Nanxing. After receiving the marriage certificate, she felt lightheaded, but at this moment she suddenly had a real feeling that she was going to marry him.

This sense of realism made her heart flutter when she saw Nanxing, just like when she was newly in love.

Nanxing belatedly felt a pang of embarrassment. He forced himself to remain calm, squeezed Banxia's hand, and carried her to the wedding bed, saying, "I'll go change my clothes."

His bride was beautiful, so naturally he had to be handsome as well, otherwise how could he be worthy of her?

His formal attire was a white suit because when Banxia was little, she would always make him play the role of the prince on a white horse when they played house together.

Nanxing straightened his red tie in front of the mirror, then went to see his bride with a bouquet and a ring.

As soon as he reached the door, Gold and Silver, wearing red bow ties, and the Sky-Swallowing Tree wrapped in red ribbons came to greet him.

Gold and silver cannot speak; their clear eyes gaze at Nanxing, seemingly not understanding why this man is so excited today.

Having learned a great deal these past few days, the Devouring Tree took the lead and said, "Give me the red envelope!" It said smugly, "You'd better think it over, or you won't see Banxia without us!"

Nanxing smiled broadly and patted Jinzi and Yinzi on the head: "I've prepared a lot of canned food for you, it's in the living room downstairs."

Gold and silver can't fully understand human speech, but they do understand the simple words "canned food" and "living room." Upon hearing this, the cat and dog wagged their tails and came downstairs.

Nanxing then spoke gently to the Devouring Tree, who was standing with his hands on his hips, "Tiantian, the delicious food in the Black Fish Space was prepared for you."

He suddenly coughed lightly as he spoke, "I've also prepared a lot of tablets, you can watch them for several days."

He emphasized the words "a few days".

The Devouring Tree gave a weak but outwardly strong snort and flashed back into its spatial dimension.

Nanxing took a deep breath in front of the door and gently knocked: "Banxia, I've come to see you."

After a while, a shy "Mmm" came from inside.

As soon as he opened the door, he was met with a pair of loving eyes.

That's his bride!

Nanxing rushed to the wedding bed in two quick steps, knelt down, and handed the ring to the bride on the bed: "Banxia, no matter what happens in the future, I will always stand in front of you and protect you from the wind and rain. I love you, will you marry me?"
