Over the next thirty-odd hours, Banxia occasionally took photos, but spent most of her time collecting various supplies.
Building materials, decoration materials, construction vehicles, gold and silver jewelry, vehicles, pet supplies, food, medicine, clothing...
Adhering to the principle of leaving room for maneuver, most items are only collected at 5% of their inventory, while food and medicine that are about to spoil or are difficult to preserve are all taken away.
She searched almost the entire city and eventually collected an enormous amount of supplies!
She thought for a long time but couldn't figure out how she and Nanxing could possibly use all of these things. In the end, she simply gave up and left them to rot. They would just spoil anyway if left outside, so it was better to store them in her space.
At least if the opportunity arises in the future, she is willing to anonymously donate any surplus items to the survivor base.
At 6 a.m. on April 11, the comatose creatures began to awaken.
"Help!"
"Help!!!"
Banxia had just finished using her supernatural abilities to examine Nanxing and Jinzi when she heard a shrill cry for help coming from outside.
She drew back the curtains and saw a burly man with half his body sticking out of the window of the villa across the street. The man was waving his arms wildly, as if he wanted to jump out of the window, but his legs were being held tightly by a woman whose body was rotting.
The woman's eyes were white, her nails were black and sharp, and she was tearing at the man's buttocks with her sharp teeth, her mouth full of blood.
Blood even seeped into her clothes along her neck, staining her chest bright red.
With Banxia's current eyesight, she could even clearly see the woman swallowing large mouthfuls.
Jinzi and Yinzi bowed their heads, about to shout, but Banxia quickly stopped them, saying, "Don't shout!"
She gently patted her two hairy legs and explained, "Screaming will attract zombies! You know what zombies are? They're that biting woman! If you ever see a zombie, you must run away, and whatever you do, don't get bitten!"
After comforting the fluffy creature, she held Nanxing's slightly damp hand: "Don't be afraid, honey, I will protect you!"
Nanxing forced a smile: "I'm not scared, it's just that it's the first time I've seen zombies eat people with my own eyes, and I'm a little stunned. Shall we go out and fight the zombies now?"
He paused, then added, "I'll have to get used to it!"
Banxia was silent for a while before saying, "No rush, let's wait a couple of days before talking about it."
It's not that she doesn't understand the importance of practical experience; it's just that she always unconsciously softens her heart when facing her lover.
“Don’t be afraid, my wife,” Nanxing lowered his head and kissed her forehead. “I’ve practiced swordsmanship and marksmanship for so long just for this moment. You have to believe me.”
He gently touched her face. "Even if you don't believe me, you should believe in yourself, right? You can protect me!"
Banxia recalled her reliance on firearms, superpowers, and spatial abilities...
Her gaze gradually hardened: "Okay, let's go change into some clothes that are easier to move in!"
She took out two sets of long sportswear, two helmets, and two goggles from her storage space.
The temperature is 30 degrees Celsius today, so I should be wearing short sleeves, but it's my first time fighting zombies, so I'd better be careful!
The two changed their clothes, put on helmets and goggles, and went out with knives in their hands and daggers in their pockets.
Perhaps because most people hadn't gotten up before they fell asleep, there wasn't a single zombie or even a fly at the door.
Nanxing thought for a moment and said, "Why don't we find Su Yao and Brother Yuan first, and have them come to our house to pick out a suitable weapon?"
Banxia nodded. In her previous life, Su Yao's family of three and Cai Yuan's family of two were very lucky; none of them turned into zombies.
If they are so lucky in this life, the three families working together might be able to quickly clear out the zombies from the entire villa area, and even find a lot of useful resources.
Su Yao opened the door for the two with trembling hands: "It's so dangerous outside, why did you come out?!"
He pulled the two of them into the courtyard and only breathed a slight sigh of relief after closing the gate.
Banxia brandished her embroidered spring knife: "We're getting ready to fight zombies. Do you, Sister Xiaoxiao, and Sister Yunyun want to come?"
Su Yao's eyes widened: "Good heavens, where did you get these knives?!"
He could tell at a glance that the knives in the two men's hands were genuine, sharpened ones!
When he was hoarding supplies, he had considered buying cold weapons, but the government had increased restrictions on them. Buying a kitchen knife or fruit knife required real-name registration, so in the end he could only buy a few slingshots and nail guns as consolation!
Banxia and Nanxing exchanged a glance, and Nanxing smiled and took over the conversation, saying, "I bought it a long time ago. I originally planned to give it away, but I didn't end up using it."
Su Yao understood. Nan Xing had asked for favors all his life because of Ban Xia, probably to ask someone to help him buy it from a doctor.
He coughed lightly: "Well, I made a makeshift spiked club out of a baseball bat. Will this work for killing zombies?"
Banxia couldn't help but look at Su Yao with new respect; he'd even brought out a spiked club—he was a ruthless guy.
She smiled and said, "We have a few knives and daggers at home. Why don't you and Sister Xiaoxiao and Sister Yunyun go and pick one out?"
When they bought the cold weapons, they brought an extra set for their friends; otherwise, how long would it take for two people to use ten knives?
Moreover, she is not very good with cold weapons and prefers to use firearms and superpowers.
Su Yao was incredibly excited. Having a handy weapon meant a greater chance of survival. After hesitating for a moment, he said, "Alright, if you guys have any extras, Yunyun, Su Xiao, and I will shamelessly go and pick one. But we can't give them away for free; we'll provide our own supplies to buy them!"
His family has plenty of supplies; they could easily exchange three knives for one.
Banxia knew that her family didn't like to take advantage of others, so she didn't refuse: "From now on, Nanxing and I will have priority in choosing the supplies we collect together. Hmm, let's choose thirty times first."
