Without the control of the Devouring Tree, the apricot immediately pounced on Banxia, who mercilessly stuffed it into her spatial storage.
"Nanxing, are you still conscious?"
"Wife, I love you, hug me, kiss me."
Banxia quickly pressed down on Nanxing's restless hand. She vowed that she would never use the Ink Vine Flower again unless her life was in danger!
She pointed to a slightly cleaner spot and patiently coaxed Nanxing, "Honey, please wait for me here, okay?"
"Oh," Nan Xing, the lovestruck version of herself, walked to where Banxia pointed and squatted down, looking at her with teary eyes, "My wife doesn't want me anymore?"
Banxia rarely saw him like this, and her heart softened: "Yes! Hold onto my clothes, I'll hug you when I'm done!"
"I want more kisses!"
"good."
Eight-eyed and six-eyed spiders have three pairs of protrusions on their abdomens, called spinnerets, which contain several to tens of thousands of spinnerets connected to silk glands. The silk glands secrete different silk proteins, which form spider silk upon contact with air.
Spider silk is lightweight and tough, and is known as "bio-steel." It is one of the strongest natural fibers. After the apocalypse, some people made it into defensive silk armor, which is said to be extremely effective.
Banxia put the five giant spider corpses into the Black Fish Space and looked up at the giant cocoon in the sky.
Spiders will wrap their prey in silk and hang it up, waiting to eat it when they are hungry. The prey is probably inside the cocoon.
Without hesitation, she untied the cocoons, which grew wildly in her palms, and broke them open one by one to see if there were any survivors.
Humans, mutated ants, mutated rats...zombies?
No wonder they're omnivores!
"Hehe!"
The bald zombie, now free, immediately extended his sharp black fingernails and charged straight at Banxia.
A flash of green light appeared in Banxia's palm, and the vines transformed into whips. With a light flick of her right hand, the zombie's head was instantly separated from its body.
She threw the zombie crystal core into her spatial storage, grabbed Nanxing's hand, and said earnestly, "Honey, wait for me for a few minutes. I'm going upstairs to collect the spider webs. I'll be right back down in a few minutes."
Nan, the love-struck version of Xing, stared at her for a long while before reluctantly letting go of her clothes.
Banxia: ...
I swear again, I will resolutely avoid using the Ink Vine Flower from now on!
Banxia climbed onto the ceiling using vines, took out a dagger from her spatial storage, and tentatively cut a spider silk as thick as a finger, without sustaining any injury.
She then switched to a chainsaw, and was still unharmed.
Banxia nodded in satisfaction, used the ink vine to cut the spider web into one-meter-long pieces and stuffed them into her space, then burned the spider's prey's corpse to ashes with a fire.
After leaving Warehouse 49, Banxia, along with Nan Xing (the love-struck version) and the three furry creatures waiting anxiously at the door, entered Warehouse 50.
Warehouse No. 50 was empty; there was nothing there.
Banxia instructed Jinzi and Yinzi to guard the entrance and take out the rice and flour purchased for zero yuan until the warehouse was full, then proceed to the next warehouse.
Warehouse No. 51 was originally filled with bottled beer, but the glass bottles shattered due to the high temperature. Banxia casually checked and found no mutated animals before moving on to the next warehouse.
Warehouses 52 to 53 contained electronic products.
Warehouses 54 to 56 were empty, so Banxia took out all the medicine she had bought for free and stuffed them full.
Mission accomplished, Banxia pulled out a walkie-talkie from her pocket and carefully reported the warehouse situation: "Director Li, warehouses 49 to 56 have been thoroughly searched..."
"So fast?" Li Kongyuan was somewhat surprised. "I'll send someone over immediately!"
Nan, in a love-struck version, Xing Lala held Banxia's hand: "Wife, are you done with your work?"
Banxia put away the walkie-talkie: "I'm done with work."
"Kiss me!"
Nan, in his love-struck version, lifts his mask and tries to kiss her.
Banxia quickly covered his mouth: "Not now, let's talk about it when we get home!"
She turned her head and saw that Jinzi and Yinzi were staring intently at them, their clear eyes filled with curiosity. Even the innocent Tuanzi followed suit, watching with unwavering eyes.
"You promised me," Nan Xing, the lovestruck version of herself, protested. "What did I do wrong?"
Banxia desperately wanted to go back an hour to stop herself from using the Ink Vine Flower to lure the little spider: "You did nothing wrong!"
She explained earnestly, "Gold, silver, and dumplings are like little children; you can't kiss them in front of them."
As soon as she finished speaking, Yinzi tilted her big head and licked her face, then looked at Nanxing with an innocent expression.
Banxia: ...
When did Yinzi turn bad?!
Jinzi, who was standing to the side, looked thoughtful and tried to lick Yinzi's face, just like Yinzi.
Banxia quickly pushed open its big mouth and carefully observed Nanxing's expression.
Nan, the love-struck version of Xing, looked heartbroken and hugged her, complaining aggrievedly, "Yinzi bullied me, wife, you took away its canned food!"
Banxia patted his hand reassuringly: "Okay."
She turned around, pinched Silver's big ears, and scolded softly, "You naughty cat! There's no more canned food for today!"
As expected of this mischievous kitten, no matter how sweet it usually is, it always has a mischievous streak. And it's also clever enough to know exactly how to really provoke Nanxing.
"Meow--"
Silver's big, emerald-green eyes were full of innocence. "Sister, what are you saying?" The innocent little kitten couldn't understand.
Banxia: "...Yinzi won't have any canned food for tomorrow either!"
Silver, take a look at your smug, wagging tail before you speak!
"Waaah—"
Jinzi was afraid that her can of food would also be confiscated, so she quickly stuck out her big head and acted coquettishly.
Banxia pushed it away: "You were trying to bully your brother too. Since you didn't succeed, you'll only have to take off your canned food for one day."
Jinzi immediately looked at Yinzi with a resentful gaze, thinking that it was all the little kitten's doing.
