107 kidnapping
Li Wei was finally freed from the backdrop and quickly moved to the side, secretly rubbing the goosebumps on her arms. These guys were just too much.
Just as he was about to sit down on a rock, he suddenly heard a girl's exclamation. Looking up, he saw someone trying to snatch Wu Bin's camera. Wu Bin tried to protect it but failed, and someone grabbed him... Wait, why does this person look so familiar... Huh? Isn't that Luo Da?! What's this guy doing, robbing people on the street?
Li Wei didn't even bother to sit down and rushed over to pull Luo Da away: "Hey, what are you doing?"
Luo Da ignored Li Wei, grabbed the camera he had snatched, opened it, and pulled out the film... exposing it all.
A group of boys realized what was happening and swarmed around him, shouting, "What are you doing? Looking for a fight?" A few of them thought Luo Da looked familiar, but they didn't recognize him at first.
Yang Liqiu and several other girls standing on the periphery recognized Luo Da, but they couldn't squeeze in despite jumping around. Li Wei was in the circle, but trying to grab Luo Da's T-shirt was like an ant trying to shake a tree—it was no use.
Luo Da tossed the camera back to Wu Bin and coldly stared at the group of boys: "Don't think I can't see through your little schemes. Stay away from Li Wei from now on, or don't blame me for being impolite!"
Li Wei was furious. What was going on? Had someone offended Luo Da? But what did it have to do with her? She tried to pull Luo Da, but he wouldn't budge an inch. He acted as if he hadn't heard her, and that feeling of helplessness washed over her again. She simply ignored him. Li Wei slipped out of the crowd, deciding to pretend she didn't know him. This was too embarrassing. Why was this happening...? Wait a minute...
A sudden realization dawned on Li Wei. Could it be… that this guy was jealous? No way, their relationship was purely that of childhood sweethearts. Li Wei carefully considered the situation. Why did Luo Da seem like a parent to her? Could it be… that he was sent to keep an eye on her? The more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed. Among the people Li Wei knew, the only one Luo Da could obey was her grandfather. And her grandfather often warned her to stay away from boys, watching her even more closely than her parents.
Li Wei was almost certain that her maternal grandfather had instructed Luo Da to keep an eye on her. Although she knew the old man meant well, she couldn't help feeling a little wronged. Was she really that untrustworthy? She never left the house unless something was wrong. If anyone was going to monitor someone, it should be Li Lin; that girl was too wild.
Li Wei squatted on the ground, her mind in turmoil. She had no time to care whether Luo Da and those boys would fight or not. Let them fight if they wanted to; killing one less would be one less, and it would lighten the burden on the earth.
But it was clearly not that easy for a fight to break out. Wu Bin quickly recognized Luo Da and stopped everyone.
The girl didn't know. But almost every boy knew that Luo Jianhua had once been a student at Yangliu Town Junior High School. Wu Bin calmed himself down: "Um, you're Luo Jianhua, right? Do you remember me? We were classmates in the first year of junior high. Is there some misunderstanding today? We've graduated. We're just taking a picture to remember the occasion. Nothing more."
Wu Bin knew, of course, that Luo Jianhua and Li Wei used to be inseparable. He hadn't seen them for the past two years and assumed they'd broken up. He'd even secretly written Li Wei notes, but they'd vanished without a trace, and he hadn't dared to make any further moves.
Luo Da recognized him, of course. So what if he was a classmate? He remained coldly composed: "I don't care who you are. Every single one of you, if I see anyone touch Li Wei with those filthy hands again, I'll chop off whichever hand they use. You can try me if you don't believe me!" With that, he turned and left.
That guy's pretty arrogant. Some guys tried to stop him, but Wu Bin stopped them. He angrily cursed, and Luo Da, who had already passed by, turned around and kicked him several meters away. He fell and sat on the ground for a while before getting up. He seemed to be okay. It's a good thing Luo Da held back; otherwise, he would have been in serious trouble.
The others had already heard of Luo Dadi's reputation. Seeing this, they all fell silent.
Those oddly dressed guys who had been eating and drinking with Luo Da also arrived, laughing and jeering as they watched the commotion. They were clearly no good. The middle school students were terrified and didn't dare move. Their success in getting into higher-level schools was partly due to their bookish nature; they'd never seen anything like this before.
Li Wei squatted there, covering her forehead. She was extremely worried and felt very sorry for everyone. How could this group of lambs be a match for Luo Dadi, who had been involved in the underworld since childhood? How could she be so unlucky? She hadn't checked the almanac before going out and had run into the King of Hell.
Li Wei was pondering how to explain things to everyone after Luo Da left, and about the boy who got beaten up—what a mess… A pair of oversized sneakers wearing athletic socks appeared before her eyes. She looked up at them, then looked down again. At that moment, Li Wei suddenly wished she had never met this person.
Seeing that Li Wei showed no sign of getting up anytime soon, Luo Da grew impatient: "Are you planning to get up and come with me by yourself, or do you want me to help you?"
A few days later, Li Wei was threatened by this guy again. She gritted her teeth and said, "Stay away from me, I don't need you to bother me." Am I a child? Why are you making a fuss!
Luo Da waited for a few seconds, seemingly thinking about something, then suddenly bent down and reached out to pull Li Wei up from behind, lifting her up like a little toad.
Li Wei suddenly felt a tightness around her waist, a lightness under her feet, and a wave of dizziness. Her limbs were lifted off the ground, and she screamed in fright. She immediately realized that Luo Da, that brat, had actually clamped her waist around her! And her head was facing his back. She felt like someone buying piglets or puppies at the market, holding pigs and dogs between their legs.
Li Wei kicked and struggled for a few moments with no effect. She wanted to scratch and bite, but couldn't find a spot. She was so angry that she almost went crazy, and even the hat on the back of her neck fell off.
"Damn it... Luo Da, you...you put me down right now, or I'll scratch you to death!" Li Wei's voice trembled with anger; she couldn't think of anything to threaten this guy with. Luo Da didn't say a word, letting Li Wei rant and rave. He walked to his car parked on the asphalt road not far away, opened the door, shoved Li Wei inside, and turned to his group of friends, saying, "I'm leaving now. Call me when you've decided on the time and route."
The guys laughed and shouted, "Haha, let's go, let's deal with your girlfriend first, hehe." Someone even whistled.
Geng Xinyang was more boisterous than anyone else, shouting, "Brother, take your time, there's no rush..."
Before he could finish shouting, the laughter and whistles stopped. Everyone stared in disbelief at the green-clad girl who had just been thrown into the car. She was now biting Luo Jianhua's hand that was holding onto the car door, and her feet were kicking him repeatedly in the stomach.
Li Wei had never suffered such a loss in her life. As soon as Luo Dayi put her in the back seat, she sprang up and pounced back, grabbing Luo Dayi's hand and biting it. She used both hands and feet, not caring about anything else, just to vent her anger first. If this kid dared to hit her, she would bite him to death. Li Wei was really going all out; she could taste the blood in her mouth. She was certain she would bite through the skin.
Luo Da glanced at Li Wei, then used his other free hand to touch Li Wei's armpit. Li Wei couldn't stand it and let go with a squeak, only to be thrown back into the back seat. Then he closed the car door, got in, closed the door, and locked it in one smooth motion, leaving her with no chance to escape.
Not to mention those who were just egging him on, even Wu Bin and his group were dumbfounded. They had all seen Luo Da's bleeding hand, but this guy didn't even flinch and handled the person with ease. He's really something!
The boys who were initially a little resentful decided that they should really stay away from Li Wei from now on. This girl usually seemed so gentle, how come she's so fierce? And Luo Jianhua is even more frightening. These two are a perfect match.
However, the leg that kicked that person just now was really tender and...
Li Wei lay quietly on the back seat of the car, no longer making a fuss. Making a fuss was pointless; this status as the weaker party wasn't a matter of whether she accepted it or not, it was a stark and cruel reality!
Li Wei thought dejectedly that when she got home, she would definitely give her grandfather a good scolding and let him know that he had taken on such a good apprentice. Also, from now on, she would pretend that she did not know Luo Da. This person had completely gone astray, and it was better to stay away from him. Her little arms and legs could not withstand such torment.
Not long after, Luo Da stopped the car, got out, and opened the back door for Li Wei to get out. Li Wei looked up and guessed that they had probably arrived at the station. It couldn't be that they were home by now; anyway, Luo Da wouldn't dare to kidnap her.
The surrounding environment turned out to be quite unfamiliar. Where was this? He glanced at Luo Da and cautiously didn't dare to move.
Luo Da felt uncomfortable seeing Li Wei looking at him like a thief, and said irritably, "Do you think I'd sell you? This is my house!"
Upon hearing this, Li Wei froze even more. "Why would I go to your house for no reason?" she thought. "I want to go home. I'm not going to your house. I'll pretend I don't know you anymore. Why would I go to your house?"
Luo Da felt he had never been so patient, and softened his tone: "Come to my place for a while, and I'll take you home after dinner."
Damn it, why would I go to your house for a meal? I'd be lucky if my third aunt ate me! She glared at me and said, "No way! I don't need your kindness. I can take the bus myself!"
After saying that, she got off the car on the other side, but before she had taken a few steps, she was caught in Luo Da's arms and legs again, like a little toad. Li Wei was speechless, so she simply hung her arms and legs and pretended to be a dead dog. She had completely experienced what it meant to be at the mercy of others.
However, I still had to say a few polite words: "You are restricting my personal freedom, which is illegal." It seems that this guy has never really obeyed the law since he was a child.
Sure enough, Luo Da said nonchalantly, "Okay, then go ahead and sue me. I'm waiting."
Listen to this, this is the typical face of a scoundrel. No wonder he's from the Luo family. Li Wei was completely exasperated.
She's a law-abiding citizen, so she should be more careful and discerning in the future. If she sees Luo Da, she should stay away. If we can't afford to offend him, we can at least avoid him.
I will never mention the small act of kindness again.
