Being a celebrity is not easy.
When we got home, Xiaoya's three babies were taking a nap. They were all dressed in soft little jackets, lying sprawled out on their beds in the warm, sunny, and fresh-air nursery. Soft square towels were draped over their bellies, and the nursery was filled with a faint scent of milk.
Looking at the children who looked like little angels, Da Luo's heart melted. To hell with all the kids who deserved to be scolded for sending flowers or beaten up for writing love letters.
During lunch, Li Wei suddenly remembered to ask Da Luo, "Hey, by the way, have you found out who wrote the letter? I saw that you guys went to look at the notes of the boys in my class and our major after class. Did you find anything?" Could it be that they used some kind of forensic method to examine the handwriting?
The student swallowed his food and said, "Yeah, I found out. It's not from your class, it's from the class next to yours, the one with the black-rimmed glasses, skinny like a monkey. I could probably flatten him with one finger, look at his small frame. The thickness of the letter he wrote is bigger than his own, it really disgusts me. You should be careful in the future, stay away from him. I think he's all talk and no action. I warned him to go to the bathroom during break, I guess he won't dare to write anymore."
The love letter incident was resolved, but Da Luo was far from relieved. It wasn't just that monkey who was secretly eyeing his wife; there were actually two other men who looked quite nice. Their eyes were darting around, which infuriated him, but he was helpless to do anything about it.
While eating, Li Wei frowned and tried hard to think about what the author of the first love letter she had ever received looked like.
She wouldn't easily believe Da Luo's words. When this guy started to slander people, he could call a divine dragon a country bumpkin, or a golden phoenix a plastic surgery doctor who flew out of a chicken coop. He could turn a perfectly normal person into someone who had seen a ghost in broad daylight.
Li Wei thought for a long time but couldn't come up with a general idea. She really didn't have any impression. It seemed that many students in the school, especially boys, wore black glasses.
Seeing Li Wei deep in thought while he was eating, Da Luo became displeased and tapped her rice bowl with his chopsticks: "Hey, what are you thinking about? Stop thinking. Would I lie to you? You're such a sleazy guy. Don't be too disillusioned. Reality is cruel, but fantasy is always beautiful. You have a husband and children now, think more about us. Don't waste your time on irrelevant people. Hurry up and eat, it's getting cold."
Li Wei genuinely couldn't remember, so she simply stopped thinking about it. She figured she'd find out by paying attention at school tomorrow anyway, and she didn't believe her classmate was as sleazy as someone had described.
After lunch, Da Luo went back to school for class. Li Wei had a politics class in the afternoon, but she was too lazy to go. Anyway, she had already made up an excuse to ask for leave. Besides, it seemed like the lecture was over and they were starting to highlight the key points. She could just ask Tang Ying and the others to take a look.
Li Wei decided to take a nap with the children in the nursery.
An hour later, Aunt Gao woke her up. The children were all awake too. The older two were fine and started drinking from their bottles. The little one probably hadn't slept well and was fussing and whining. Li Wei took her from Sister Wei's arms. "Have a snack." The child who's fussy gets to eat. It always works.
Only after the children had calmed down did Li Wei go upstairs to read. A few people then played with the children.
Final exams are in two weeks. I have to get going. No matter how busy or tired I am, I'll get through this period first.
Now that finals are over, it'll be summer vacation again. A few days of relaxation should be possible. But these days, time flies by so fast, especially when I'm with the baby in the nursery. Time seems to fly by.
Not to mention after spending time with Xiaodi, there's Dadi waiting in bed. That's even more physically demanding.
Physically, she could manage, but sometimes the mental stress made her feel even more tired. Occasionally, if one of her children had trouble with bowel movements or feeding, she would become anxious. When her eldest child was away for several months at a time, she felt even more worried, realizing that her carefree days were truly gone forever.
Li Wei felt that this state was not good, and she needed to adjust and relax after the end of the semester.
That evening, while Li Wei and Da Luo were engrossed in their books, Xu Ting called. Li Wei knew she didn't have anything important to say, just wanted to gossip about a certain university, so she simply told Aunt Gao to say that Xu Ting had gone out and wouldn't be back for a while, and didn't answer the phone.
She doesn't have the time to chat with her right now.
The next day, Li Wei went to school. As usual, Tang Ying arrived at the classroom earlier, while Xu Ting and Ma Liya would arrive a little later.
Before Li Wei could even settle down, Tang Ying leaned over and whispered, "Hey, VV, do you know how famous you are now? Last night, a lot of girls who know people from our dorm came over to ask about you. They heard you were at the school gate."
Li Wei quickly clasped her hands in a fist and bowed, saying, "Stop, stop. To be honest, the person who carried my backpack was my boyfriend. The other people are just passersby. If there is any ambiguity, I reserve the right to interpret it. That's all."
Tang Ying opened her mouth but couldn't say anything. She opened her mouth again and said, "What I was trying to say is that next time someone sends you flowers, if you don't want them, don't give them to the trash can. Give them to our dorm instead. The flowers that our third roommate's boyfriend sent just wilted."
Li Wei -_-|||
"Next time, have your third brother's boyfriend send you silk flowers; they'll never wilt," Li Wei said irritably.
Tang Ying chuckled, "We already said that, but the third brother said he would send it again, so let it stay wilted for now, haha."
Just as Li Wei was about to praise her roommate's third sister, Xu Ting exclaimed as she entered the classroom, "Oh, VV, I'm so glad to see you! Yesterday, our dorm..."
Li Wei slumped weakly onto the table: "I know, I won't throw flowers away carelessly next time, I'll give them to your dorm." She was wrong, wasn't she? She shouldn't have wasted resources so carelessly.
Xu Ting didn't go back to her seat. She leaned half her body on Li Wei's desk, face to face with Li Wei, and said, "Actually, what I wanted to say is that you're very famous now. All the girls in my dorm want to get to know you, so they asked me to be the middleman and introduce them. That's all."
Li Wei buried her face in her arms and wailed, "No way, should I wear sunglasses to school every day so that you two dorm sisters can forget about me? Actually, I'm just someone who's had a little early romance, but I haven't done anything bad."
Li Wei is indeed famous now. Those who know her need no introduction, and even those who don't have acquaintances who can give them pointers: "It's that one, the one in the white T-shirt and skinny jeans, the one who's a little chubby."
Another one said, "She's not fat at all, just a little plump. Her breasts are so big! I wish I looked like that. I've heard that when guys look at girls, they always look at them first."
Another one: "Her hair is so shiny, I wonder what shampoo she uses."
Another one said, "Her skin is so good, go ask her what she uses to moisturize her face."
After finishing her long morning class, Li Wei fled and took a bus home. She even forgot to look for the anonymous person she had been thinking about all day.
When we got home, we didn't even go into the nursery. We went straight upstairs to the bedroom, lay down on the bed, and decided to let her sleep first. Maybe she would be calmer after she woke up.
As a result, Li Wei had only been lying down for less than five minutes when her husband carried her upstairs into the bedroom and proudly showed her the baby: "Wife, wife, come and see! The little girl can say 'I love Daddy' now, haha."
Li Wei didn't want to talk to him at first, but then she suddenly realized something was wrong. Why wasn't this guy at school? She quickly sat up, grabbed the little girl, and glared at the big guy: "Why are you back so early? Why didn't you go to class? Did you skip class?" Li Wei felt like she had skipped class for no reason and was determined to beat him to death.
Da Luo was still immersed in the joy of Xiao Ya's love for him and hadn't come back to his senses. He didn't pay attention to what Li Wei was saying and said nonchalantly, "It's okay, it's okay, hehe."
Seeing his nonchalant attitude, Li Wei could no longer suppress her anger. She put the little girl down, looked around, and seeing nothing that seemed right, she had no choice but to pull out the pillow from her back, lean over, and start hitting Da Luo: "I told you it's okay, I told you it's okay."
Da Luo was a little confused, and Xiao Ya started crying too.
When the man realized something was wrong, he quickly grabbed his pillow. He was about to say something to Li Wei, but then he saw that Li Wei was in tears and her face was flushed. He was stunned.
He suddenly picked up the wailing little girl and, somewhat at a loss, took a handkerchief to wipe Li Wei's face, but Li Wei slapped it aside.
"Look at you, why are you crying? I didn't skip class. Our classes all ended in the morning. The exam is the day after tomorrow, so we can study on our own now. I came back here. Oh, don't cry. What's wrong? Did someone bully you? Tell me and I'll go find them!"
"That heartless guy," Li Wei said angrily, "Take Xiaoya downstairs to Sister Wei first, hurry up!" She was upset to hear the child crying.
Da Luo glanced at Li Wei with concern: "I'm going now, I'll be right back. We'll talk when I get back, don't cry yet."
Li Wei: "Hurry up and go!"
"Okay, okay, I'll go right away."
While Da Luo went downstairs, Li Wei went to the bathroom, wrung out a towel, and wiped her face. Looking at her slightly flushed cheeks in the mirror, she wondered, "What's wrong with me? Why did I suddenly lose control of my emotions? Is it because of the pressure of the exam?"
Li Wei changed into more comfortable clothes and leaned against the headboard, lost in thought. When Da Luo entered the room and saw her like that, he immediately became nervous and cautiously sat down next to Li Wei: "Wife, what's wrong? What's making you angry? Did someone bully you?"
Li Wei glanced at him and said, "Nobody bullied me. I just don't like the look of you, especially when you seem like you don't care about anything. I don't know why."
Huh? The big guy was stunned for a moment, scratched his head and was really confused. After thinking for a long time, he stammered, "How could I not care about anything? I care about you, and the three little ones too. Really, I was still thinking about them even when I was shot and thought I was going to die."
Li Wei's eyes widened: "I knew your injury was serious, it didn't look like a knife wound, and it really was! You—wait~~"
Huh? What happened to me? How could I have let that slip?
He quickly hugged Li Wei and comforted her, "That was an accident, an accident, purely an accident. There won't be a next time, don't worry, don't worry, my life is precious."
After making a scene for a while, Li Wei hugged a certain big guy and wailed loudly. Although her eyes were a little swollen, she felt much better.
