One hundred and seventeen makes you impure

One hundred and seventeen makes you impure

Li Wei carried her schoolbag and walked directly to her aunt's house without taking a car.

It turned out that Aunt Zhang opened the door. As soon as Li Wei entered, she heard Dingding crying loudly inside. While changing her slippers, she asked curiously, "Why is Dingding crying so hard? Is he hungry? Where is my aunt?"

Aunt Zhang replied, "They haven't finished get off work yet, they should be back soon."

After changing into her slippers, Li Wei casually asked as she walked inside, "What's wrong with Dingding? Why is she crying so loudly?"

Aunt Zhang entered the living room before Li Wei, picked up the crying baby from the stroller, and rocked him while saying, "He's taking a nap. Babies are like this when they're sleepy."

Li Wei didn't even bother to put down her schoolbag before rushing over to check on Dingding. She saw Dingding grinning, revealing her two tiny white teeth, her face flushed red, crying her heart out. Li Wei felt a pang of heartache and asked Aunt Zhang, "Does she cry like this every day? Or is it just today? Did she wet herself? Or is she hungry?"

Aunt Zhang rocked the child and replied, "This is common before bedtime. I just changed the diaper, and the baby won't drink from the bottle or drink water; he's still sleepy."

Li Wei waited a few more minutes, but Dingding was still crying desperately, almost out of breath. Li Wei got anxious and picked up the phone on the coffee table to call her aunt. Sun Ying answered and said that Cheng Fei was in a meeting and shouldn't be disturbed.

After hanging up the phone, Li Wei thought for a moment and then called her uncle-in-law, Ding Anping. However, Ding Anping said he had to work overtime and there was nothing he could do even if he came back. Li Wei hung up the phone dejectedly.

Looking at Dingding, who was still crying, Li Wei wondered if the child didn't like Aunt Zhang. She went over and took Dingding, mimicking Aunt Zhang by humming and swaying back and forth. Two minutes passed, and Dingding was still crying.

Li Wei felt her head buzzing from Dingding's crying. She put the baby on the sofa, lifted the diaper to check—it was dry. No urine. She then took the bottle and put it in Dingding's mouth, but he spat it out again. Li Wei was at her wit's end.

I handed the child back to Aunt Zhang. It seems Aunt Zhang was right. I'll wait for her to get tired and go to sleep.

Li Wei sat on the sofa, listening irritably to Dingding's crying. Her eyes swept across the room. She suddenly noticed how clean and tidy it was. Not a single thing was out of place. Diapers, wipes, baby powder, and other baby supplies were all neatly arranged, like in a supermarket.

Then look at Dingding. Although he was crying terribly, his clothes were very clean and neat. It's amazing how well Aunt Zhang has raised her child…

Li Wei remembered hearing this from colleagues and friends in her past life: Families with children are unlikely to be very organized. The younger the child, the more clutter there is. It's easy to tidy up, but incredibly difficult to maintain order, unless the children aren't home.

Li Wei had only visited a few homes with babies. Indeed, diapers, baby pads, toys, and bottles were readily available. Even the most capable and tidy person couldn't escape this.

Looking at her aunt's house, which was practically a showroom, Li Wei suddenly felt uneasy. There wasn't much on the sofa. Many frequently used items were stored under or inside the stroller. Could it be… that Dingding spends all day in the stroller?

Li Wei became increasingly restless, picking up a rattle drum and waving it around in front of Dingding. The thumping drumbeats mingled with Dingding's loud cries, making the scene even more chaotic.

Seeing Li Wei's nervous expression, Aunt Zhang smiled and said, "It's alright, all children are like that. There's always a period when they cry and fuss a lot. It's normal." She had seen plenty of crying and fussing children.

Li Wei was quite dismissive. Of course you're not worried if it's not your child. Why isn't Auntie back yet? Poor Dingding, neither her mom nor dad cares about her...

Li Wei called her aunt again, but she was still in a meeting. Li Wei covered her ear with the phone, listening to the busy tone, and looked at Dingding, who seemed tireless. Suddenly, an idea struck her, and she stood up abruptly: "Aunt Zhang, let's go to the company to find Auntie."

No one should suffer, but the children should not suffer.

To everyone's surprise, Aunt Zhang, who was always good-natured, refused to go no matter what. She thought it was ridiculous that she would bother her employer with such a small matter. How could she continue working like this in the long run?

Li Wei was scratching her head in frustration when the phone suddenly rang. Startled, she was quickly overjoyed. It must be her aunt calling. "Auntie, come back soon! The child is looking for you!" she cried, answering hastily. "Hello, Auntie, when are you coming back? Hurry up, Dingding is looking for you!"

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, then a male voice came through: "It's me. I'm downstairs at your aunt's house. Can you come down?"

It took Li Wei a few seconds to realize that it wasn't her aunt, but Luo Da! What was this guy doing here?

He threw down the phone and rushed to the window to look down. Sure enough, the purplish-red Santana was parked below, and a few steps away there was a small shop. Luo Da was standing in front of the shop window, holding a phone.

Li Wei suddenly had an idea. She turned around, picked up the phone, and told Luo Da to wait a moment. She then instructed Aunt Zhang to pack up some of Dingding's things for her trip, and she would take the child to find her aunt; a relative's car would be there to pick her up.

Aunt Zhang hesitated and disagreed, after all, Li Wei was still a teenager, and she was really worried about letting her take the child away. Li Wei ignored her and took the child with her backpack on. Then she gestured to Aunt Zhang: "Hurry up and pack my bag properly. I have to go down now. They're waiting downstairs."

Aunt Zhang didn't move: "Let's wait a bit, Dingding's mother will be back soon..."

Li Wei stopped arguing with her. Since she had found her aunt Dingding and would have food to eat, she turned and walked out, pretending not to hear Aunt Zhang's calls.

Luo Dagang had just settled into his car when he was surprised to see Li Wei carrying a wailing baby to the outside, gesturing for him to open the back door. He quickly turned around, stretched out his arm, and opened the back door.

Li Wei carefully carried Dingding into the car and instructed the driver, "Drive, go to the company to find the child's mother." There was no other way; in a few years, Santana taxis would be everywhere, and she'd gotten used to it.

Without saying a word, Luo Da started the car and drove off. Because Dingding was crying, he couldn't talk to Li Wei and could only drive silently.

After driving for a few minutes, Li Wei suddenly felt something was wrong. Why was it so quiet... Oh dear! She looked down at Dingding and saw him sleeping soundly, drooling!

Is it really true, as Aunt Zhang said, that you cry yourself to sleep? This pre-sleep exercise is too torturous; it's like a mind-numbing cacophony.

Li Wei adjusted Ding Ding's position to make her more comfortable. Then she remembered to look up and ask Luo Da, "Why are you here? Is something wrong?"

Luo Da tried to drive smoothly, paying attention to the road conditions as he said, "Nothing much, I just wanted to see you." Do I really need a reason to see you?

Li Wei gave an "oh" and then fell silent, unsure how to respond. She thought to herself, "This little brat. Do you think I can just watch whatever I want? Did you pay for the ticket? He talks so self-righteously, huh? Looking for trouble."

Luo Da then asked, "Why didn't you go home? I called your house, and Li Lin said you might be at your aunt's house. She gave me her number."

"I was thinking of reviewing my lessons because next week is the monthly exam." But I ended up bringing my child along. Oh well!

Li Wei glanced down at Ding Ding, then looked up at the rearview mirror and saw Luo Da staring back at her in the mirror... Huh? Why is Luo Da wearing makeup today? One of his eyes is even dark!

Unable to resist asking, "What happened to your eyes?" It was unbelievable that someone could beat up Luo Da and leave such a conspicuous mark.

"It's alright."

It's silent again.

Li Wei sat in the back. She couldn't see the specific situation, but she could see Luo Da's androgynous eyes, and she was very curious.

Soon they arrived at the company. Luo Da got out of the car first, opened the door for Li Wei, locked the car, and then got in.

The security guards all recognized Li Wei and didn't stop her. Li Wei carried Dingding, who was sleeping soundly like a little angel, upstairs to the second floor and into her aunt's office.

Cheng Fei has been incredibly busy lately. The company is moving in a few days. There are countless things to sort out here, and some places still need to be tidied up there. She's constantly monitoring her subordinates, the construction team, and the progress, while also handling her daily work. She's so busy she barely has time to eat, and her temper is incredibly fiery.

She had just finished a phone call with the deputy in charge of project supervision, and several department heads were waiting to consult her. Before she could say anything, Li Wei came in, holding a child and laughing intimately with a man.

Before Li Wei could speak, Cheng Fei said, "You guys go out and wait a bit. I have something to take care of here, so come back when you're done." She was speaking to the supervisors.

Among them was Li Na, who winked at Li Wei with an ambiguous expression as she was leaving. Li Wei pretended not to see it, but just looked at Luo Dachengfei with deep affection at Li Wei's pathetic look, and felt a surge of anger. She didn't let them sit down, nor did she mention the child. She sat down in the boss's chair and said coldly, "Li Xiaoming, you're quite something, now that you're in high school. I haven't seen you for a few days, and you've really made something of yourself, openly going out with a boy like that. Look at you, with my baby, it's practically a family of three! Let me introduce you, who is this?"

The coldness in her tone was utterly chilling. Other people's hearts weren't Li Wei's.

Li Wei lowered her head slightly, seemingly embarrassed: "Well... actually... Auntie, we're just... ordinary friends, don't talk nonsense..." Her awkwardness completely contradicted her words. Even she felt goosebumps rising on her skin.

If it weren't for the inappropriate occasion, Li Wei would have loved to jump up and applaud herself. How could she be so talented?!

When Cheng Fei first saw Li Wei acting like a spoiled child, she was already furious. Then, a glance at Luo Da, with his bruised eyes and swollen lips, and his menacing appearance like a delinquent youth, ignited her anger: "Just friends! I don't even have presbyopia yet! Just from what you said, you're anything but ordinary. I think you're getting more and more out of touch with reality, forgetting what you're even doing, hanging out with hooligans..."

Li Wei added fuel to the fire: "Um... he's not a thug... he's a good guy..." She said it very sincerely, Luo Da, look how much I trust you. Cheng Fei looked at Li Wei's infatuated look and was silent for a moment. Suddenly, she felt that this girl was quite dangerous. What if... she didn't dare to think about it. She pointed at Luo Da: "You, stay here. Xiao Ming, you get out of here."

Li Wei asked with great reluctance, "Auntie, what are you going to do?"

Cheng Fei snapped, "I told you to leave, so leave! Stop talking nonsense!"

"Oh..." Li Wei left the office with Ding Ding in her arms, looking back but no one was there. Her girlish demeanor vanished.

"Hey Luo Da, you little brat, let's see how my aunt, a social elite, teaches you a lesson. Stop thinking about puppy love all the time. A man should be self-reliant, you know!"

Li Wei knew without even thinking what her aunt and Luo Daneng were talking about.

This was her second move, and Luo Da had walked right into it—it was fate!
