Seventy-four people said I was beautiful

Seventy-four people said I was beautiful

After the girls chatted and laughed for a while, Li Wei asked Li Lin and Wu Feng to move the dining table. Li Lin turned around and pulled the gauze curtains on the wall open to both sides, and tied them up with sunflower-shaped hooks, revealing a full wall of mirrors inside. Golden wheat-ear-shaped silk threads hung from the top, making the whole kitchen look like a small stage.

Although Li Wei calls this room the kitchen, it's mostly used for boiling water and cooking porridge. There aren't many actual pots and pans, and they're all hidden in the cabinets below. However, the fresh flowers and colorful glass bottles on the countertop are quite eye-catching, and the color scheme of the cabinets is excellent. The kitchen doesn't feel very homey.

Now, thanks to the mirror covering an entire wall, the space immediately appears much more spacious, the colors are very bright, and the layout of the space is also very reasonable. With the light-colored floor, it's more than enough to serve as a practice room.

The main reason Li Wei did this was that she felt it would be convenient to eat and drink something while practicing yoga or belly dancing in her spare time. Places like kitchens and farmers' markets always gave her a unique sense of satisfaction.

Although Li Wei wasn't feeling well today, she wasn't too strict because they were at home. She taught in a relaxed manner, and the girls enjoyed learning. With mutual understanding, their learning efficiency was surprisingly high.

Li Wei felt that a full-length mirror would be better, since she could tell whether someone danced well or not just by looking in the mirror, without needing to explain everything in detail herself.

After practicing for more than an hour, during the break, Li Wei brought out a large tray of snacks, fruits, and water for everyone. In an instant, everyone sat around on the floor, chatting and laughing, creating an atmosphere like a tea party. The initial awkwardness between the classmates, who were not very familiar with each other, slowly melted away like thin ice in spring.

Li Wei gradually became familiar with these female classmates. Besides Li Lin, Wu Feng, Zhou Xiaoyan, Zhou Ying, and Yang Liqiu, she also knew Li Lin's two best friends, and remembered the names of the remaining eight or nine girls, matching them with their real names.

These girls were all chosen by the homeroom teacher as having good figures and looks. Li Wei took a close look and, putting aside their personalities, just considering their appearance and figures, Zhou Xiaoyan was quite outstanding. Only Li Lin could compare to her. The other girls all had their own obvious shortcomings.

Li Wei, having eaten a large lunch, only picked up a grape to peel and eat. Seeing that everyone was in good spirits, she couldn't resist her curiosity: "Zhou Xiaoyan, you seem quite cheerful and outgoing. Why have you been picking on me lately? I don't think I've offended you."

The saying goes, "He who eats another's food is bound to him, he who takes another's money is bound to him." Having been scolded mercilessly by Li Wei on her turf, Zhou Xiaoyan was now completely subdued, or rather, somewhat resigned. After all, she had already given Li Wei the most humiliating moment of her life, and seeing that Li Wei didn't seem to care much and just went about her business, she figured there was no hope of ever getting her revenge. Why bother being the bad guy with a cold, sarcastic attitude? It was exhausting. Therefore, when Zhou Xiaoyan heard Li Wei ask her a question, unpleasant memories surfaced, and she angrily retorted, "How can you blame me? It was the second day of school, and I thought you looked really pretty. Later, I found out you got first place in our class for your college entrance exam. I wanted to ask you to go out and play after class, but you ignored me even after I called you several times. Do you know how embarrassing that was?!"

Zhou Ying, biting into a banana, nodded vigorously, indicating that it was indeed true.

Li Wei racked her brains, but couldn't recall doing anything so rude. It wasn't like her at all, especially with a beautiful woman greeting her. How could she ignore her? But clearly, Zhou Xiaoyan couldn't lie about this. She guessed she hadn't been paying attention or had been distracted at the time.

He knew he was in the wrong. He quickly apologized to Zhou Xiaoyan, "I'm so sorry. I must not have been paying attention. Otherwise, I would have been overjoyed to see such a beautiful woman like you calling me. How could I not have responded? I actually really wanted to talk to you, but then I realized you didn't seem to like me much."

Zhou Xiaoyan felt much better after hearing Li Wei's explanation. Thinking about it, it made sense. In their interactions these past few days, Li Wei wasn't the arrogant, petty type. She would never have acted that way. Completely letting go of her resentment, Zhou Xiaoyan's lively and enthusiastic side shone through. She picked up a glass and exclaimed, "Come on! Let's toast to our reconciliation!"

"Cheers. Haha." Ah seems to be a very outgoing woman. I guess she's had her fair share of socializing with adults.

Zhou Xiaoyan had been holding back for a long time. Finally, she could laugh and talk loudly without any restraint. Remembering that Li Wei had said she was beautiful, she was even happier. Returning the favor, she said, "Hey, Li Wei, actually I think you're the real beauty. I don't think any girl in school is prettier than you. Look how fair-skinned you are! And the clothes you wear are even better than those on TV..."

Li Wei was delighted to hear this. It seemed that no one had ever praised her to her face like this before. She automatically filtered out the part where Zhou Xiaoyan praised her clothes and said with great enthusiasm, "Really? Hey, no one has ever praised me for being pretty before. You have good taste, haha. I think so too, hehe..." The more she looked at Zhou Xiaoyan, the more pleasing she became. She was truly a soulmate.

Nowadays, when people say someone is beautiful, they're almost certainly gorgeous, unlike in later generations when beautiful women were so common and worthless.

Li Lin realized things were going badly. Her sister couldn't stand being praised; once she was praised, she would forget who she was. How could she be like that? She had no humility at all, and it was so embarrassing.

He hurriedly stood up and started organizing: "Practice, practice, stop talking on and on."

Li Wei glared at Li Lin. That brat must be jealous of her looks; why can't she stand to see her happy? She was in such a high mood, and Li Lin had just interrupted her. It was so frustrating.

Despite her reluctance, Li Wei still dutifully led everyone in dancing. However, this experience marked the beginning of a close, albeit somewhat eccentric, friendship between her and Zhou Xiaoyan.

Actually, friendships between girls can be very simple.

Friendships can be formed over a piece of clothing, a piece of jewelry, a book, a movie, or even a single sentence. While they may lack the fiery passion of male friendships, they possess a purer charm than male friendships.

Today, because the main characters suddenly felt a surge of emotion, their good mood may have infected the others, and things went surprisingly smoothly. Li Wei danced with everyone twice, and surprisingly, she could follow along pretty closely. Although it lacked a bit of flair, the basic movements were good, which was quite impressive, especially considering it had only been a few days.

Practice is over. After seeing our classmates off, we all agreed to come back here to practice again after school tomorrow. It feels much more atmospheric than a bunch of desks and chairs in a school classroom.

Li Wei also asked everyone to wear shoes with a higher heel tomorrow, as it would feel better when jumping.

Li Wei had been active for half a day and felt a bit tired. After dinner, she took a pill and figured she should be almost fully recovered by tomorrow. She should go back to school soon, otherwise her dad would give her a disapproving look and start reminiscing about the past if he saw her idly at home not studying.

Although Li Wei didn't really want to become steel, much less iron, she disliked making her father depressed even more. She figured she'd better stay at school; after all, her primary job now was being a student. At worst, she could sleep on her desk when she got tired; the teachers wouldn't say much.

The next day, Li Wei had just finished breakfast and was wondering if Luo Da would come today when he arrived. Originally intending to have some tea to aid digestion, Li Wei grabbed a handful of hawthorn candy and hopped on Luo Da's bicycle.

This brand of fruit leather was produced by a small factory in the local city. Li Wei remembers that more than ten years later, the factory was still producing it and selling it well, and the taste and quality were still reliable.

Li Wei grabbed five at once and got into Luo Dadi's car. She peeled one and put it in her mouth, then thought for a moment and peeled another one for Luo Dadi.

After checking that it wasn't some kind of rat poison, Luo Da picked it up and ate it. It was so sour that his mouth almost watered.

Li Wei offered it again, but Luo Da refused to accept it no matter what.

He really didn't understand. This stuff didn't taste that great, so why did so many girls like to eat it, leaving a bunch of candy wrappers on their cleaning duty. Now even Li Wei, who seemed to have tasted all sorts of delicious food, loved it so much. Luo Da really thought it was something special. But it turned out to be completely different.

This girl is truly incomprehensible.

Because the midterm exams are approaching, the main courses for each subject have come to an end and no new content is being taught; the focus is basically on review.

Middle school was a significant improvement over elementary school. Problems were no longer written on the blackboard for everyone to copy. Instead, a more primitive mimeograph tool was used. However, a stencil had to be made first. This involved writing the material to be printed on mimeograph paper using a dry ballpoint pen or a dry fountain pen. Then, the ink film on the mimeograph paper was scraped off. The ink-soaked roller then rolled over the mimeograph paper, transferring the material onto the bottom sheet of paper, allowing for continuous printing.

Therefore, if a teacher wants to find students to teach, they will usually choose students in the class who have the best handwriting.

Li Wei's handwriting is at best neat, but far from beautiful. Luo Da, on the other hand, despite not writing much and being rather lazy in his studies, has quite good handwriting; in the teacher's words, it has a very calligraphic style.

So this glorious task fell to Luo Da.

Of course, these are just review papers for Chinese and Politics.

Li Wei was a little puzzled. Weren't there class representatives for Chinese and Politics? Those two girls had done blackboard newspapers before, and their handwriting was quite decent. Why was Luo Da being given this filthy job? Judging from Luo Da's physique, he'd probably have to continue mimeographing after finishing the stencil work. That kind of work would leave him looking like a car mechanic, his hands covered in black ink.

The dirt is secondary; after all, it can be washed off. The main thing is to control the pressure and angle when printing, otherwise the print will not turn out well. If you accidentally tear or wrinkle the printing paper, you have to re-cut the plate, which is even more troublesome.

Li Wei glanced at the furtive looks of the Chinese and Politics class representatives and guessed that Luo Da had been forced into labor. She figured those two wouldn't dare to arrest him; it was probably because the teacher disliked Luo Da's carefree and elusive nature and assigned him some work.

The thought of Luo Da possibly spending an afternoon in a shabby little mimeograph room at the school, struggling with the old relics used by the underground party to print leaflets, makes me think, poor Luo Da, do you want me to come and help you?

Don't let it delay my getting home from school and affect my commute.
