Chapter 80 Saving Su Shisan

Dayan, Duke Su’s Mansion.

"Duke Su died yesterday in the den of demons in Yannan Mountain, sacrificing his life for his country! His son, Su Shisan, was also struck by a poisoned arrow from the enemy, and his life hangs by a thread. His daughter, Su Xian, led the troops into battle to defend the enemy, defending their country and its people in place of her father and brother."

This news that shocked the entire Dayan this morning had already been passed on to the Su family last night.

Along with this news came the heroic body of Duke Su, covered in white cloth.

The entire Su family ancestral home was filled with white silk, and all members of the clan, including servants, were dressed in mourning clothes.

The sky over the compound seemed to be covered with a layer of dark clouds that would not dissipate.

Mrs. Su had fainted from crying and was helped into the room.

Regent Xiao Qingyun sat in the lobby, with several court officials and elders of the Su family sitting on both sides.

Everyone looked ashen and remained silent.

"Your Highness, I heard that the Jade Maiden of Qingyu Temple has gone to Yannan Mountain. Is that true?" Someone suddenly asked.

Xiao Qingyun raised his head upon hearing this, looking at the white silk flying all over the courtyard. He was stunned for a moment before nodding and saying, "That's right."

"The Imperial Master once said that the Jade Maiden's magic is extraordinary. I hope that this time she comes down the mountain, she can help our dynasty resolve the crisis."

"Yes, the battle line is tight now, and the situation on the battlefield is becoming increasingly severe. The future of our Great Yan Dynasty...can only rely on her."

Everyone whispered a few words and sighed again.

Xiao Qingyun was speechless.

Thinking of the last time they met, the woman standing sideways in the void, her clothes fluttering, as if she wanted to fly away with the wind, his eyes darkened slightly.

Lingzhi, she is actually the Jade Maiden of Qingyu Temple?!

When Lingzhi and Bufan arrived at the military camp, Su Shisan had already been hit by a poisoned arrow and was unconscious.

His face was as pale as gold paper, his eyes were closed, his lips were black, and he was lying lifeless on the bed. A pitch-black feather arrow was stuck in his bare back.

The arrow is short, black in color and has a fishy smell.

When it was pulled out, there was a barb and the arrowhead automatically fell off the arrow body and mixed into a bloody mess on Su Shisan's back.

Looking at the embedded arrowhead, Lingzhi was stunned for a moment, and anxiously asked Bufan beside him: "If this arrow is pulled out, won't the human flesh fly into the air?"

"Don't worry, Senior Sister. He won't die as long as I'm here."

Bufan said as he checked Su Shisan's injuries, "There's a strange smell coming from the arrowhead, and the blood flowing out of the wound has turned black. This is poisoning!"

"Do you know what kind of poison it is?"

Lingzhi saw that Su Shisan had his eyes tightly closed, as if he was about to die at any time, and she couldn't help feeling a little worried.

"I don't know yet, but it doesn't matter. I have a resurrection pill on me that can cure all poisons."

Bufan felt Su Shisan's pulse and frowned slightly: "It's a bit serious, but fortunately the poison hasn't evaporated to the internal organs yet."

He stood up, took out a small white porcelain bottle from his arms, poured out a bright red pill, and stuffed it into Su Shisan's mouth.

Not long after Su Shisan swallowed the pill, he spat out a mouthful of foul-smelling black blood.

"Please, Senior Sister, bring me my medicine box."

Bufan gave an order, then took out the needle bag he carried with him and gave Su Shisan an acupuncture injection to detoxify him.

Lingzhi nodded and quickly went to bring back the medicine box that Bufan often used.

Bufan had already inserted silver needles into Su Shisan's back.

Hearing the voice, he didn't even turn his head and stretched out his hand and said, "Senior Sister, the knife."

Lingzhi quickly opened the medicine box and took out a thin and sharp knife.

After Bufan took it, he carefully cut open the blackened and ulcerated skin and flesh where the arrow had penetrated Su Shisan's back.

The poisoned arrowhead was polished into a barbed shape. If it was pulled out directly, it would probably break even the tendons and bones.

Bufan could only cut open the surrounding flesh and carefully take out the arrow.

"Damn it! These Quanrong people are so vicious!"

After removing the poisonous arrow, Bufan thoroughly cleaned the necrotic flesh around Su Shisan's wound.

Perhaps it was because of the excessive pain or the effect of the pill he had just taken, but Su Shisan seemed to regain consciousness.

He frowned, groaned in pain, and beads of sweat gradually appeared on his forehead.

"Alright, Senior Sister, please apply the medicine to him!"

Bufan wiped the sweat from his head, picked up a knife and went to clean up and disinfect.

Lingzhi agreed, found the medicine and gauze for treating the wound in the medicine box, gently applied the medicine to Su Shisan's wound, and bandaged it carefully.

Su Shisan slowly woke up.

He opened his eyes and looked around. When he saw the Ganoderma lucidum in front of him, his eyes suddenly widened: "Who are you?"

"Su Shisan, you are injured, not blind. How come you can't even recognize me?"

Feeling the slight vibration on the back of his hand due to the sound, Lingzhi smiled.

"Ganoderma lucidum? You really are Ganoderma lucidum!" Su Shisan said happily.

Lingzhi was not paying attention for a moment and Su Shisan pinched her chin.

He then carefully held up her face and looked at it: "It's not a disguise... That's great, Lingzhi, you're not dead!"

Lingzhi smiled brightly: "Yes, you are not dead, that's great!"

The two greeted each other, still in that unique way.

"It would be worth dying to see you again in this life!"

A pale smile appeared on Su Shisan's face, and his eyes were suddenly filled with countless emotions.

Lingzhi replied: "Su Shisan, you will not die. I won't let you die. You must live, and live forever!"

Su Shisan nodded at her, a warm smile on his face.

After a pause, he looked at Ganoderma lucidum meaningfully.

"I can't believe you're the Jade Maiden of Qingyu Temple? I thought you were just a little maid, but you're actually a real boss!"
