Chapter 25 The more I look at Zhou Shixun, the more I like him

Sheng An Ning walked around the ward twice, feeling a little bored.

He walked around the bed with his hands behind his back, then went to the window and looked outside.

Zhou Shixun also noticed Sheng Anning's boredom, put down the book and looked at her: "If you are bored, you can go to the movies. Today is Friday, and there will be a movie in the auditorium tonight."

Sheng An Ning turned around with her hands behind her back and stared at Zhou Shixun for a while: "How do you know that movies are shown every Friday?"

Zhou Shixun did not doubt him and answered honestly: "I stayed here for half a year to recuperate from an injury three years ago."

Sheng An Ning was a little surprised. What kind of injury would require hospitalization for half a year? Looking at Zhou Shixun's appearance, he was like a steel giant who could carry a gun and go to the battlefield as soon as he got off the operating table.

But her focus now was not here. Instead, she squinted her eyes and smiled as she looked at Zhou Shixun: "You've been staying here for so long? So are there a lot of female doctors and nurses who come to see you and bring you food?"

Zhou Shixun frowned and shook his head to deny: "No, there is a comrade who is taking care of me."

Sheng An Ning suddenly became curious as to whether Zhou Shixun didn't know that someone liked him. After all, people nowadays were quite reserved in expressing their feelings. There were not many people who were willing to take care of others like Xiao Yan, and no one dared to express their feelings boldly.

Sitting down at the table, he propped up his chin with his hand and looked at Zhou Shixun, saying jokingly, "Do you know that someone likes you?"

Zhou Shixun frowned even more tightly: "Don't talk nonsense, it will have a bad impact if others hear it."

Sheng An Ning was certain that this man had no idea that anyone had ever liked him, and he was so unromantic that he couldn't even tell when someone was showing interest in him.

She became even more curious. What would happen if such a wooden man fell in love?

Or does his sweetheart, Miss Caixia, from his hometown know?

I suddenly felt a little irritated, so I slapped the table and stood up: "You read a book, I'll go out for a walk."

She went out with a stern face.

Zhou Shixun was a little confused. She was fine just now, why did she suddenly get angry? But think about it, her temper has always been inexplicable.

After a moment's silence, he picked up the book and started reading again.

Sheng An Ning walked around, went to the nurse on duty and borrowed two books to read. She ignored Zhou Shixun and just lay on the bed flipping through the books.

The busy and regular life these two days made Sheng An Ning sleepy. She yawned, threw the book aside, and fell asleep.

Zhou Shixun had been listening to the noise from the room next door. Only when he heard Sheng An Ning's shallow and long breathing did he put down the book and look over.

The dim light fell on Sheng An Ning's face, which no longer had the elf-like weirdness that she had when she was awake during the day, but instead had an added layer of mystery.

This made Zhou Shixun a little dazed.

Sheng An Ning seemed to be dreaming. She turned over and lay on her side facing Zhou Shixun, mumbling softly but not clearly.

Zhou Shixun could feel that Sheng An Ning was suppressing her pain. After thinking for a moment, he gently got down from the ground and wanted to go over and push Sheng An Ning.

Sheng An Ning waved her arms: "Mom, I want to go home, woo woo."

This time I cried truly and sadly, as helpless and sad as an abandoned child.

Zhou Shixun retracted his outstretched hand. Sheng Anning missed home, but the Sheng family was not so good to Sheng Anning, otherwise they would not have forced Sheng Anning to marry in a hurry for their own benefit.

He turned around and tried to leave, but Sheng An Ning waved and grabbed his hand, tightly holding his broad palm, and murmured, "Brother, don't go, I won't be naughty anymore."

Zhou Shixun was stunned for a moment. The soft and delicate little hand in his palm made his brain stop thinking for a few seconds, but he quickly returned to his senses. Sheng An Ning did not have a brother, only a sister and a younger brother.

She was the second and least favored child in the family. She grew up with Chief Cheng and did not return home until she was fifteen.

So who is the brother that Sheng An Ning is calling?

Zhou Shixun moved his hands, and Sheng Anning held on tighter, pouting in grievance: "I'll tell mom that you bullied me."

Her tone was coquettish but also a little bit aggrieved, revealing the innocence of a little girl.

Zhou Shixun didn't move, just looked at Sheng An Ning quietly, with a lot of thoughts in his mind, but he couldn't find an answer.

Sheng An Ning suddenly let go, turned over, rolled up in the quilt and fell into a deep sleep again.

Zhou Shixun did not sleep until dawn all night. He had too many questions but no answers.

Sheng An Ning slept soundly and had a long dream. She dreamed of her mother and her brother who always bullied her but always gave in to her.

When she woke up and saw the yellowed walls, she felt a little disappointed. She was still in this world with nothing.

I sighed in my heart, encouraged myself mentally, got up, washed, made breakfast, and chatted with the nurses.

Zhou Shixun listened to Sheng An Ning constantly greeting people outside the door. He felt that after living here for two days, he had a good relationship with several nurses and they could get together and chat whenever they had nothing to do.

It’s totally different from being in the family compound. I can’t fit in with anyone.

He stroked the palm of his right hand with his left hand, which still felt warm and soft. Thinking of Sheng An Ning's dream talk, his mind was still in a mess.

Sheng Anning heated up the fish soup, bought two fried dough sticks, and came back to have breakfast with Zhou Shixun.

Seeing Zhou Shixun sitting down after washing up, Sheng Anning handed him a fried dough stick: "I heard that as long as you know some medical skills and study for a few days, you can go to the health center to be a nurse after training?"

Zhou Shixun didn't understand for a moment: "You want to be a nurse?"

Sheng Anning shook her head: "No, I want to open a clinic. Don't think I don't know anything, I can learn. I see nurses giving injections is very simple, I can learn all these."

She felt that running a business required capital, and since she was extremely poor now, it would be better for her to make quick money by treating patients.

Zhou Shixun glanced at Sheng Anning and did not deny her idea: "Opening a clinic requires more than just knowing how to give injections, you also need to know a little bit about other things."

Sheng An Ning nodded quickly, and began to make up stories according to the original owner's memory: "Yes, I can do first aid, you see, I learned it from my grandfather. Actually, I am not unlearned, my grandfather is very strict with me."

Zhou Shixun couldn't find any loopholes. It turned out that Mr. Cheng did have some medical skills and could treat common injuries.

Sheng Anning grew up with him, so it's not surprising that she knows these things.

But thinking about Sheng An Ning's performance in the family compound for three months, I always felt that something was wrong.

Sheng An Ning took a bite of the dough stick and curved her beautiful big eyes: "It's okay, I'm not in a hurry, I'll go and learn when you're healed."

Zhou Shixun hummed, and for some reason, he was somewhat relieved that Sheng Anning did not mention divorce.

It’s not that Sheng An Ning forgot to mention divorce, but she felt that it was not good to talk about divorce every day.

Besides, she likes Zhou Shixun more and more these days. What if she has any idea in the end? You should always leave yourself a way out, right?
